About BUNAC:

Founded with mullets and a mission by students in the 60's, BUNAC has been running its legendary Summer Camp USA program since 1972. From coaching soccer to teaching crafts - it’s the chance to turn your passion into a paid job, impact the lives of children and young people, and spend the summer living in epic locations with the best 18-30s you’ve ever met. And because 5% of profits go to our Youth Access Scholarship Fund, you can travel happy knowing that BUNAC works for others too.

“I would recommend anyone to use BUNAC for their summer camp journey, both first timers and returners! They were so helpful last year when I was applying for the first time and looking for a camp and were brilliant with the visa process. I am now using BUNAC again as a returner and I have specifically been in contact with Amy for the past week who has been incredibly helpful with sorting out any issues I had and has made my application process so smooth!”

“Firstly BUNAC in general has been super useful in providing all the information in an easy way to understand!! I have also recently been in contact with Amy who has been really helpful in helping me navigate the visa process as a dual Canadian and British citizen who lives in the UK. “I have submitted my IENA Sponsorship Application and want to thank BUNAC for all their help in every step. In particular, Amy was invaluable. She helped me every single time I asked a question, usually on the same day, and I asked a lot of questions!!! Also, I had a really nice interview with Sophie. She immediately put me at ease, and was both very welcoming and enthusiastic about my application. Thank you all.”

“BUNAC helped me every step of the way with my Sponsorship Application for Summer Camp 2026. In particular, Amy replied to all of my questions very quickly, usually on the same day. (And there were loads of them, as I’m really keen on working at one of the camps). No question was too much trouble and I felt very happy and supported. A big thank you. Sasha”

“Me and two other students had a tough time entering the country because they did not give us stamps in the airport, and so BUNAC threatened to make us leave and re-enter the country even though everything was fine. Unfortunately this situation fell on a bank holiday where we heard absolutely nothing from BUNAC for an entire weekend, so we had no idea whether we would have to pay for flights to leave and re-enter the country. Come Tuesday they told us we were okay, but this does not take away the fact that this was a very stressful situation for us students that not all of us have the means to handle. The entire process was stressful and completely avoidable. I hope that in the future BUNAC will account for these situations and help their students instead of just threatening to make them leave the country for no reason, and then give no response for days on end.”

“Bunac did a great job guiding us through the VISA application process. However, when I was told to submit proof of entry they denied my documents without looking at them. They then told me I had to leave the country and reenter. Fortunately I waited for the bank holiday to end because I wanted them to look at my documents again--they did and it was fine. But for four days I thought I was going to pay out of pocket to leave and come back for no reason which is stressful in itself. I also had to miss a few days of my internship because I could not work in case my visa was not valid which was really disappointing as it was the first few days. While I would have liked more care on their part in this situation overall they were nice and helpful.”
