About BUNAC:

Founded with mullets and a mission by students in the 60's, BUNAC has been running its legendary Summer Camp USA program since 1972. From coaching soccer to teaching crafts - it’s the chance to turn your passion into a paid job, impact the lives of children and young people, and spend the summer living in epic locations with the best 18-30s you’ve ever met. And because 5% of profits go to our Youth Access Scholarship Fund, you can travel happy knowing that BUNAC works for others too.

“The way the hiring pool works makes no sense, you can only apply to one camp at a time and 90% of them don’t reply even after 5 days so you have to take yourself off review and apply to the next one. When emailing questions to the BUNAC team they weren’t helpful and didn’t answer my questions and even though I started applying for camps in February, I wasn’t placed until May with only a month to get my visa/ flights ect, meaning that I couldn’t actually arrive in time for camp. In future, I would go with another provider.”

Thank you for your feedback, Betsy! We are really disappointed to hear that you were unhappy with our hiring pool. You can only be on review with one camp at a time so that it gives you and the camps a chance to explore employment opportunities. We understand that you were in the hiring pool for quite a while and that this can be disheartening, however we see that you rejected a number of camps which would have prolonged the amount of time you were in there. We understand that our camp team helped you get hired so that you could get to the US for the summer, and that all of your queries were answered through email. “Planning my summer at Camp America was really easy with BUNAC. Everything was super straight forward and they were always a phone call away with any questions / concerns I had. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to apply to Camp America!”

“I can't give much feed back on the program itself but in the service I have receive. I have been asking Ed Sayers multiple questions about the program and he has been very helpful and friendly with his responses.”

“Any issues that appeared, the BUNAC team members were keen to help; especially Olivia and Niall. The responses were really quick, which eased a lot of stress. I've been kept up to date throughout the whole process so far which again, has really eased my stress as I know exactly where I am and what I need to do next.”

“Bunac has been so helpful every step of the way. This was my first time going to camp and I felt so reassured that if I ever had any questions I could always email and ask. Their fees are completely reasonable and they go above and beyond to make sure you feel satisfied before leaving for America. From orientation meetings to giving detailed lists of documents you need for your visa appointment, I feel that Bunac has given me the security I need to be able to have as much fun as possible during my time at camp!”

“Firstly the team overall are amazing, they have made me feel much more secure and calmer. I was nervous that I left it too late but with the detailed but easy to follow steps and also just the support from the team I was able to apply and receive and invitation Special shout out to Ed Sayers who really went above and beyond to help me in the early steps as well as give valid information, detailed description but most importantly was so friendly it felt like I was getting help from a friend Tj”

“I have had a great experience with BUNAC American summer camp team. They have helped me navigate everything I needed to do for summer camp this year. I applied quite late so everything has felt like a bit of a rush. Olivia the BUNAC rep has been kind and patient and has responded quickly to my insane amount of questions. Nothing was too silly to ask! The company provided great documentation and videos to help with the VISA application. I would totally recommend them.”
