About BUNAC:

Founded with mullets and a mission by students in the 60's, BUNAC has been running its legendary Summer Camp USA program since 1972. From coaching soccer to teaching crafts - it’s the chance to turn your passion into a paid job, impact the lives of children and young people, and spend the summer living in epic locations with the best 18-30s you’ve ever met. And because 5% of profits go to our Youth Access Scholarship Fund, you can travel happy knowing that BUNAC works for others too.

“OMG !!!! i had this agency recommend to me by someone i know and they definitely did not disappoint. I was helped through every stage carefully and any questions i had i emailed them and they got back to me no later than the day i emailed them with every enquiry i had !! as this was my first time signing up for summer camp i had no idea what i was doing but the bunac team have been nothing but exceptional with me. If i decide to go again next year in no thought am i going with another agency that is not bunac ☺️ Thank you so much Bunac team Emma xx”

“I’m currently applying for the USA summer camp program with BUNAC, and Amy has provided fantastic support throughout my early application stage. I had confusion about the payment timeline and emailed for consultation, Amy replied promptly and explained every payment phase patiently and clearly, easing all my worries perfectly. Her communication is friendly, professional and super efficient. It’s such a pleasant experience getting guidance from her, and I feel much more confident moving forward with my application. “It is pricy, too pricy. But so are other similar services. At Bunac, the customer service shows itself available and is of great help. They contact you and are ready to find solutions with you in case there is a problem. Once all steps are completed, you received your sponsorship as planed - the process is very smooth overall.”

“My Visa process was abysmal and Bunac did not help throughout the process. First, I had to fly back to the U.S. for a biometrics appointment that I was not aware of. Second, my Visa was issued incorrectly so I missed days of work in the middle of my internship. They did not support me in getting this issue fixed. Terrible experience working with them and spending thousands of dollars for virtually non-existent customer service.”

“I would like to recommend BUNAC for its detailed guidance and prompt help throughout the entire application process. This was my first time applying for a summer camp program. My first offer was rescinded because the camp decided to close for this summer. At that moment, I was worried about whether there was any chance to get a position because it was late in the season. I asked the BUNAC for help. Amy helped me and passed my application to IENA for other possible options. It meant a lot to me and I decided to keep looking. I finally got a new offer. Although I couldn't go to the camp due to embassy appointment availability, they gave me the option to defer my application to next year or withdraw with a full refund. That was so considerate. I want to thank Amy for the support and help throughout the entire application process.”

“We hosted five BUNAC interns over several years. The majority had excellent experiences and have gone on to work at major companies including L'Oréal and Chanel. Several continue to recommend us to other students. When two consecutive interns were found to have engaged in misconduct during their placements, BUNAC accepted the interns' accounts in full without ever contacting us for our version of events. When we provided detailed, evidenced responses addressing every allegation, these were acknowledged but ultimately disregarded. BUNAC's decision was described as "final and will not be reconsidered." As a host company, we invested significant time, resources, and goodwill in providing genuine learning environments. To be penalised on the basis of unverified testimony from participants who were found to have acted dishonestly, without any opportunity to respond before a decision was made, feels deeply unjust. I would urge any company considering hosting through BUNAC to be aware that if a placement breaks down due to intern misconduct, BUNAC's process does not appear to include seeking or considering the host company's account before making decisions about your standing.”

As a UK Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) visa sponsor, BUNAC has a responsibility to ensure placements meet program requirements and that we remain fully compliant with our obligations as a licensed sponsor. Maintaining the welfare of participants and the integrity of the program must always be at the forefront of our decision-making. Decisions regarding future host organisations are never based on a single incident. They are made after careful consideration of the information available to us, which may include feedback from participants, academic institutions where appropriate, and our responsibilities as a program sponsor. We recognise that there can be differing perspectives when placements end prematurely, particularly where misconduct is alleged. While we are not in a position to determine disputed facts, we must make decisions based on our overall assessment of risk and our obligations as a visa sponsor. For reasons of confidentiality, we cannot comment on individual placements. However, we can assure prospective hosts that these decisions are never taken lightly and do not diminish the positive experiences of many successful placements. We thank FRUU Cosmetics for the opportunities provided and wish the team every success for the future.

“I had a great experience with Bunac/Jenza throughout the entire process. Their team was always responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with, which made everything much less stressful. The application process was handled efficiently, and whenever I had questions, I received clear and helpful answers very quickly. I especially appreciated their guidance and support at every stage, as well as the speed with which they processed everything. Thanks to their organization and excellent communication, the whole experience was smooth and straightforward.
