Me and two other students had a tough time entering the country because they did not give us stamps in the airport, and so BUNAC threatened to make us leave and re-enter the country even though everything was fine. Unfortunately this situation fell on a bank holiday where we heard absolutely nothing from BUNAC for an entire weekend, so we had no idea whether we would have to pay for flights to leave and re-enter the country. Come Tuesday they told us we were okay, but this does not take away the fact that this was a very stressful situation for us students that not all of us have the means to handle. The entire process was stressful and completely avoidable. I hope that in the future BUNAC will account for these situations and help their students instead of just threatening to make them leave the country for no reason, and then give no response for days on end.

Bunac did a great job guiding us through the VISA application process. However, when I was told to submit proof of entry they denied my documents without looking at them. They then told me I had to leave the country and reenter. Fortunately I waited for the bank holiday to end because I wanted them to look at my documents again--they did and it was fine. But for four days I thought I was going to pay out of pocket to leave and come back for no reason which is stressful in itself. I also had to miss a few days of my internship because I could not work in case my visa was not valid which was really disappointing as it was the first few days. While I would have liked more care on their part in this situation overall they were nice and helpful.

BUNAC made my dream of living abroad possible at a reasonable price, but it certainly had its kinks. For the most part staff was helpful although at various stages it gets harder and harder to reach people to answer your questions, and I often got referred back and forth by people. Overall straightforward process, but don't expect your hand to be held. If you are using BUNAC's Job Hub, be weary of what companies you are interviewing for and do your research before committing to work somewhere. I did a couple of interviews with people who actually made me question if this program was legit, LOL. The company I chose and internship overall was fine, it was just abundantly clear that their motive was to get free/cheap labor through this program and not to "teach me valuable experience for the workforce and make memories that will last a lifetime." Yeah no. I really loved living in the UK and experiencing working life in London, so overall my experience was about a 7. I would and have recommended BUNAC to people, I just think it is important to note these details!

I have mixed feelings about bunac. They helped us get our visa because we needed some form we didn’t have time to get. Yeah it’s good to have the support and someone to speak to about any queries. But it’s very expensive for not a lot, when you can get every answer from Google! We paid £1000 each essentially for just a visa. When we finally booked our flights their accomodation was full and we could only stay if we paid a further £500 each! We’re not using them to open bank accounts etc because a job we found does that. We don’t have pickup from the airport because we don’t arrive on the correct day.. I just wouldn’t recommend using them unless you really had too!

Hi there, we are sorry to hear your experience was mixed. We can see from our records that we have tried to contact you within the given period to get a confirmation of your accommodation. Once this is beyond the 4 week accommodation tends to fill and unfortunately, until we have this confirmation from you, we cannot book the spots. It's not a problem if you do not wish to use all the program inclusions. You will still have access to the full 1-on-1 job support for the length of your visa, in case you wish to change jobs and the team will also be there for any in country support, including sorting your tax and registrations. When I first contacted BUNAC, I was told they couldn't attend to me until I further explained myself. Positives: -You guys were a bit responsive to queries and questions Things to improve upon: -I think the process is quite clear but laborious. It took me and my colleagues 3 months to fully present all the documents that needed to be approved. You guys can further streamline the process and make it easier.

Previously used camp America who unfortunately were an easier company to work with. their paperwork & visa proceeds was a lot easier & less time consuming plus the communication with bunac varied. I was told i didn’t have to travel for my visa by bunac & then had to organise super expensive travel last minute to obtain the visa.
