About BUNAC:

Founded with mullets and a mission by students in the 60's, BUNAC has been running its legendary Summer Camp USA program since 1972. From coaching soccer to teaching crafts - it’s the chance to turn your passion into a paid job, impact the lives of children and young people, and spend the summer living in epic locations with the best 18-30s you’ve ever met. And because 5% of profits go to our Youth Access Scholarship Fund, you can travel happy knowing that BUNAC works for others too.

“This process was made incredibly simple via Bunac, everything I needed to do was clear and understandable and the customer service was also useful anytime that I reached out. HOWEVER, the cost of this service is incredibly expensive to the point that I question whether or not (from a business perspective) bunac is taking advantage of persons in a similar situation to mine. I am a student who was looking for work abroad for two months during the summer. Looking back on my experience, this sort of service would be a bargain if I were working abroad for at least 6 months instead of two months. So, minus 1 star because of the high price, which is stacked on top of the already expensive visa application cost, but 4 for a reliable yet easy to navigate process.”

“They were highly efficient with the visa process, making it much easier than the standard government route. It is a little pricy but for the service, I think it is worth it if you don't need rush processing. They were also very professional throughout the study abroad program, ensuring the students were in the right places and safe.”

“Thanks for all the help. The process has been relatively easy and smooth. I have now reached the ‘Ready to Go’ stage on my application so presumably I should be hearing from my camp coordinators within the next few weeks (?) - I hope so, anyway.”

“BUNAC was a really supportive and a very professional organisation to get the summer camp process going. They have an amazing pool of camps to choose from, and great support that respond fast and informatively. They have online events which can be very informative and helpful in the process for applying and getting hired for camps.”

“BUNAC helped me get through the visa process by giving me all the relevant information upfront and organizing the process through simple steps. However, the added fees on top of the fees I had to already put up for my Visa made the process quite expensive so keep that in mind before applying to this program. But overall, BUNAC helped me realize my dream of working in London for the summer.”

“I am grateful to BUNAC for sponsoring my visa for my time in London this past summer through Beyond Academy. While I am happy they agreed to sponsor me, there were a few hiccups mentioned that could be improved. One thing is that when I arrived in the UK, they sent me an email about an arrival form. The problem was I could not find it on my profile portal. I feel that the portal should have some improvements so that people can better understand and navigate it in the future. Lastly, for the required document, "Letter of Recommendation," my professor, who wrote it, would like to note that there should be some form of contact to send it to instead of uploading it to the portal. Overall, this was a great service, and I am forever grateful to them for sponsoring my visa.”

“I am currently here in Oz and having the best time. Experiencing new places everyday, Welcome to Travel have also been a fantastic help while I'm here. Coming to Oz has been one of the best things I've done - and I'm thinking about adding new Zealand and Asia to my travels too! Thank you for all your help in getting me here to Oz!”

“Absolutely great support from Sharyn from the get go, I honestly do not know how that women provides the support she does. She was always there to answer any emails I had before I had arrived in New Zealand, greeted with a hug when we first met face to face and always so nice and polite. Since leaving the 4 day experience at BUNAC, Sharyn has constantly provided support by sending jobs all over the country, recommendations of places to stay and nice messages. The only way I would say BUNAC could improve is more games/ice breakers to start with. I don't think many of us felt that comfortable with each other until day 3/4 which was a shame as we were all leaving soon afterwards. I think the activities needed to be at the beginning or have more activities like games of pool/bowling etc.”
