“Right product bought correct code no.etc for strimmer spool and line. However the line was completely useless unwound continuously cutting the line In bits took it apart and rewound it a couple of times same thing happened by unwinding again and cutting the line to bits. The entire line used up just covering a distance of 25ft. So half a garden not now strimmed. The line in my opinion should be thicker .I now have a strimmer I cant use because no line at all in the spool .So seems I will have to pay out again for new a line so not happy at all .”

“I do apologise for the rating but here is why. We took delivery of the product we ordered in 2 separate vehicles in 2 separate times on the same day, wether that was your fault or not I don’t know. But as we opened our first tin of paint from it’s box , we found the plastic bag inside the box to be full of paint. The lid was not closed securely & so more paint was in the bag than in the tin. We were awarded a 50% refund on that. Problem was , & we did not contact you or complain about this, maybe we should have, was on opening the 2nd delivery of 2 tins, one of those was exactly the same. Instead of 3 tins of paint we probably got 2.”

“Hi, I actually ordered 3 drill bits and you only sent 2 with 2 written on the enclosed note, I assumed I'd made a mistake but now I see the actual order on the confirmation email and wonder what went on?”

“Building Supplies Direct are ok, but there packaging of items needs to be better. My order arrived in a bubble lined jiffy bag, that was torn, and item inside dented, would have been better to insulate item in a cardboard tube first, then place in a bubble lined jiffy bag.”

“Whilst the product is what I wanted and the price was good, the Royal Mail delivery was poor dispatched on the 02/04/20 arriveved 11/04/20 they need to use a different carrier.”

“Unfortuately after ordering I was advised that my item was not available so I have had to cancel and request a refund. I still await the refund which I feel they should have done immediately on my forced cancellation. While being generally helpful it is difficult to score more than 3 for being helpful but as I still await a refund I feel I should have scored them a 0.”

“The turf lifting tool arrived . The trouble was I had ordered to do a job of work on a specific day. When I ordered it said it would arrive by 6 pm on the Wednesday - which exactly suited my planned work day. As it was the tool didn't arrive until FRIDAY by which time we'd completed the task using an ordinary spade.”

“My order took a little longer than might have been expected. I wonder if stock is ordered against orders and not actually held? Apart from that not much to say. Drill press arrived it works, the price was competitive.”

“I purchased a tool box which arrived very badly damaged. The product was well packed but had obviously received a heavy knock during transit and handling. Building Supplies Direct responded immediately by replacing the item and this time although the box was again damaged the product inside survived. Any issues resulting in an "acceptable" score rather than "good" are with the delivery company rather than Building Supplies Direct however I do think it is their responsibility to get their supply chain efficiency up to scratch.”
