“The oak architrave that arrived from yourselves was the worst quality I've seen in 40 year's as a builder and is totally unusable, can't imagine why it was sent.”

“This is the second time I have been asked for my review so would suggest that you most certainly do not read all the reviews. I am now 12 days awaiting my delivery and the only contact has come from my end, very poor. Ian Stocks”

“Ordered 8 x scaffold planks. Didn’t turn up after the 7 working days delivery service. Called the company & was told they got lost in transit & they would be resent and delivered the next working day. E-mail the following morning saying they can’t get them & they will refund me. 8 days wasted on a building site, terrible service.”

“Wood was well priced and good quality , however , 10 lengths ordered , supposed to be 3-7 days delivery ( which charging £50 you expect it to be done to a standard ) day 7 firstly arrived three lengths , then another delivery from someone else came another 5 to which I was told there’s your order ! So two short and no idea where they are ! Call direct and get bad service throughout from a supposed manager giving me a whole £10 refund for my total inconvenience of backwards and forwards to the site they were delivering too ! To say the least I will not be using this company for future works”

“Ordered some 4x2 and some roofing sheets, and was then told the roofing sheets were collection only, waited 7 days for the 4x2 but it did not arrive, very disappointed so had to cancel , no problem with a refund but I feel more communication on delivery time would be helpful.”

“Advertising trying to sell items they do not have waited over a week and when i enquired what had happened to the item i was then told not in stock and money refunded. Would not use them again due to poor customer service.”

“Paid for 3-5 day delivery and 20 days later I’m still waiting for my order. It was just one sheet of ply, a simple thing to deliver. I wouldn’t recommend this company and won’t shop here again.”

“Ordered MDF and birch plywood 22nd of June. 3-5 days delivery on website. Email one week later saying MDF out of stock and refund given for MDF. Got tracking number for plywood on 28th of June with Caribou. Tracking on Caribou just shows ‘label printed’. Delivery randomly shows up on 13th of July with no warning. Tracking still says ‘label printed’ even though delivered. Luckily my wife was home to accept delivery or else I’m sure it would have just been left on the front porch. Delivered by one guy so my wife had to help him carry heavy sheets of plywood into the house. I guess they expect you to sit at home 24/7 from order to delivery?”

“As I have had no response from @sales regarding my missing item hoping this review may get me an answer. Delivery was slower than stated and goods damaged due to poor packaging. Not great experience so far.”

“paid £38 delivery and waited a week for only half my order to be delivered - guess it will be another week to hopefully get the rest - if i can get what i want from elsewhere i doubt i will use builders merchant again”
