“I haven't got a direct issue with BreakerLink, however, if the service is to provide customers with a product then that service is only as good as its member suppliers. In the case of "Car & Van Parts Direct", I have never experienced worse customer service in 50+ years. My card was charged and delivery due on 14/10/15. However, I had to make 12 phone calls over the next 7 days during which I was repeatedly lied to as to the status of my delivery. On 3 separate occasions the delivery I was promised failed to materialise and numerous promises to check details & call me back never happened either - it was always down to me to contact them. I requested details of their courier, as per the BreakerLink complaints procedure but this was declined. I requested the number of their Sales Manager - again declined. However, my 4th call on 21/10 was (I believe) answered by the Sales Manager who proceeded to suggest that the 3 previous deliveries had been made and that there was nobody in the property despite no card being left and the fact that there had been someone in the property for the whole day on two of those occasions. I have no doubt that there had been no attempt at all to make my delivery. I had made it clear to everyone I spoke to that the item (wiper motor) was needed by 21/10 as the vehicle was booked in for the work to be completed (7 days should have been plenty) and that the vehicle is required to transport a 7 week old baby. They did not seem to care how dangerous that is without working windscreen wipers. When I suggested, in the circumstances, they may want to offer a gesture of good will and courier the part directly to me I was told I could "drive to Glasgow & pick it up" if I wanted. As it was clear that "Car & Van Parts Direct" are not interested in customer service, or even making deliveries when arranged, I could not see any alternative to a full refund and to begin the whole process again from scratch. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH CAR & VAN PARTS DIRECT UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE HOW LONG IT TAKES TO ARRIVE, IF AT ALL.”

“we received many quotes for the parts we were looking for, some companies couldn't fulfill our total needs, but between them we got what we were looking for. The purchase was easy and the parts were despatched within a week, securely and well packed. This was good service and we just hope they are for the car in question, as we won't be able to fit them for a month at least.”

“The parts came quickly from My Used Spares in July but the Galaxy Spare Wheel Carrier cable was frayed - one strand broken and turning around inside the winding mechanism box. They agreed a refund if I would return the part to them. This I did and it was received by them on 18th August. Unfortunately, the refund did not come until 13th October and only then after numerous phone calls and promises to 'act on it immediately'. My final call this week brought the comment from them that 'in their opinion, the part was quite serviceable and it had been sold the day after it arrived back in their store with no follow-up complaints'. Too many excuses, too many promises and no interest whatsoever in helping with return postage (£12.52) on a used part that in my opinion was not serviceable. Not a happy customer!”

“after finding my car in a garden and working on it for some time i used your services on several occasions fuel pump air control valve and various other small bits but the problem was the car was a strange import VIA northern Ireland but was only made for the Japanese market as i found out to my cost but finding your services saved the day and one of the last searches was for a small trail light adjacent the indicator light that illuminates with the lights on when turning right or left accompanied by a different tune/sound with right or left turn i will positively be using your services before my project is finished . yours with great thanks G.A.Rowley Retired”

“Not great. Needed parts for a mk3 fiesta and was sent parts clearly removed from a mk4 so they didn't fit... Will just visit the local breakers in future.”

“I found the service offered by Breakerlink to be very Good. I did though have a problem with the first supplier, having placed the order for my part I had still not received over two weeks later. On chasing up it turns out the part was still in the car waiting to be written off by insurance assessor. I have found it very frustrating that I was not informed when I ordered the part that this was the case, it has delayed my repair by a good two weeks, I have now had to cancel the order and start again, I must say though that the first supplier was most helpful and very apologetic about this, I would call them again in future. But please check that the part you order/buy is available to be sold straight away, I have since ordered the part from another Breakerlink supplier and it has been shipped straight away, shop around, you could save time & money.”
