“Recently purchased a second-hand Yamaha Clavinova CLP265GP digital baby grand. Absolute top-notch immaculate condition instrument looking fantastic in the lounge (even the wife doesn't mind it!). Not stopped playing it for days (like being a kid again). As you'd expect, solidly built, keyboard action fantastic, sound rich and fully bodied, feels and sounds just like a real grand piano at a fraction of the price. Very pleased, feel like i've acquired an absolute bargain. Great advice and customer service from Olly in the shop. Purchase process smooth, went in shop by chance on a Friday, saw the instrument, bought it and had it delivered very promptly by the following Tuesday.”

“I ordered a Gibson ES-335 on the 23rd March via Bonners website. I received an email from DX on the 27th March to say my order had been successfully delivered at 08.54 despite nobody being at the property. An image was uploaded of the guitar box leaning against my outdoor toilet door. Apparently it was also signed for by someone that clearly can’t spell my surname. When I got back home there was no box there and having spoken with both neighbours it was safe to say the guitar had been stolen.. It's worth pointing out I DID NOT request for the this to be left in a safe place! I contacted Bonners immediately and exchanged numerous emails with Vicki Wagstaff who assured me this would be dealt with. I also was asked to provide them with a crime reference number which I did. Here's a couple of emails from Vicki: "Hi Andy, Thank you for the update. I can assure you we share your frustration and have already logged a complaint as this is not the service we purchased. We are aware of how valuable our items are which is why they are marked as addresses only. DX Express have already confirmed the item was left in the outside toilet. Let me discuss this with the management team and get back to you. With Kind Regards Vicki" Also received the following email on Weds 3rd April: "Good Afternoon Andy, Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and didn't indulge too much in chocolate. I wanted to update you on the status of your order. I have been in touch with the courier company and they have informed me that they are currently searching for your item. This process usually takes between 3-5 working days. As soon as I receive confirmation from the courier, I will obtain the necessary authorization to proceed with either a refund or replacement. Thank you for your patience and understanding. With Kind Regards Vicki" As you can see from these emails you can clearly see Bonners admitted their couriers did not adhere to their contract and that a refund or replacement would be processed after up to a further 5 working days. The following day on Thurs 4th April I received an email from "Bonners Legal". This was not the same email address for their customer service team but apparently a 3rd party legal entity: “WITHOUT PREJUDICE Following your previous communication with our customer service team regarding the suspected theft of a Gibson 335 guitar under our transaction reference ******, valued at £3189, we are writing to inform you that, due to the value of the goods and the existence of photographic proof of it being delivered to the delivery address, the matter has been passed to our legal team and the police for further investigation. We expect this investigation to take up to 21 days to complete. We have a record of the instrument's serial number, which has been circulated to relevant parties, online marketplaces, and guitar stores across the UK. In the meantime, we will contact you should we, our lawyers, or the police, require any further information or evidence. As this matter is now in the hands of our legal team and the police. Bonners staff are unable to comment or take any further action until instructed to do so. Of course, if the guitar is found, please contact us immediately by emailing ************* Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We will be in touch in due course. Please note that our legal department is based externally to Bonners Music business addresses. We can only accept communications regarding this matter in writing via email. External Legal Team on behalf of Bonners Ltd” ---------------------------- I immediately emailed Vicki again who was my original point of contact to clarify why I was told this would be resolved within 5 working days and now their “legal team” is telling me not only will this process now take up to a further 21 days to resolve but I’m unable to now communicate with any members of staff at Bonners Music. No response… I then called Bonners and was assured Vicki would call me back. No call back.. Vicki then emailed to say she's unable to discuss anything with me as it's now been passed onto their legal department?! I am absolutely disgusted how this company have seemingly just washed their hands of their customer and are now hiding behind their "legal team" instead of actually holding DX to account for not following the correct procedure. Instead of looking after me and dealing with their courier (who have already admitted fault) separately I’m now left in limbo with neither the guitar I paid for or my money. I would SINCERELY would advise anyone reading this to think twice about purchasing anything from this company because it seems if anything goes wrong with an order their customer service team run for the hills leaving you with neither your order or money. Utterly disgraceful!”
