“Overall I believe that Bob Books offer a great product. My only criticism is that I feel they don't give detailed layout options for cover page edges and spines. This oversight results in cover work often being poorly aligned and the entire intended images not visible. It is apparent that the page quantity is a factor in this problem as the wraparound alignment changes depending on how thick the book is. I feel that more attention to detail and a higher level of inspection prior to and after printing at the Bob Books factory should remedy this. Another option would be to give the customer a more specific image grid and maintain the position of the customers work. Bob Books are expensive but high quality and so I wish this issue could be resolved. For this kind of high end purchase it should be perfect. It is very close to being perfect but close just isn't good enough in or on my book.”

“The software is exactly the same as the Crewe software I have previously used with another photobook provider. That said it is easy to use and the results are very pleasing. I used Bob Books to wedding albums and the bride and groom were delighted with the quality.”

“although a little pricie compared to other alternatives, the quality is way better. I cannot find the flat seem that I used in the past and worked well (two pages are flat when hardcover book is open)”

“Lovely book, quick turnaround, limited contact needed. Photo creator App mostly easy to use, but I had some issues with removing unnecessary pages, and spent >60mins moving photos backwards - a more flexible system would be a significant improvement. The recipient loves it, as does my whole family and my friends - everyone impressed.”

“Interface is simple and intuitive but leaves plenty of opportunity to get the layout as I want it. two slight criticisms are that the text backgrounds are larger, compared to the text, then I would prefer and the picture boxes don't always translate onto the book in quite the same place, leaving white strips. Colour matches the interface well, but here is a strange thing; having had issues with the lap top I wasn't sure that the required book would reflect the colours on the interface/my screen, so I ordered a picture and this came out way way darker. Not willing to commit £80-!00 on a book and with no test prints available, I had a small book printed and this turned out pretty good, so now I will commit to a larger book. Why don't the pictue prints match the books? This could be seriously off-putting to many people. The book turned up quicker than expected and the quality, with the lay flat pages, was very good. Am I alone in thinking that the paper is a bit too thick! I hope these are constructive comments, overall this is a good product that I hope to continue using.”

“The software is clunky. The edge of page auto-Positioning is infuriating. The binding on my last order was uneven therefore unsightly. The delivery lead time is good”

“Photobooks: Good quality books; good packaging I was disappointed that there was no discount on an order of 3 of the same. I would like the option of adding text to the photos themselves rather than just the cover photo. Good response to e-mail enquiries. Easy to use website for creating the photo books”

“Always been very pleased with your products and find the software great. However slightly disappointed with the last order as I thought I had completed the book but obviously had left the second half of the book completely blank. Such a waste of money. Not sure how I overlooked this but it would have been nice if someone had contacted me to check I was happy to go ahead with the printing when it was such an obvious mistake... maybe it's all done by a machine but still someone would have packaged it up. I'm hoping to make a big order again in the next week or two for Christmas presents so it has not put me off but I don't think I'll create on my phone again as this is when the mistake happened. Thank you! Alice”

Hello Hugh, With our App you are not currently able to include text in the content pages. As the App and the books you make are saved on your device, this is not something we can offer at the moment but is something we will continue to look into. However I can recommend you try our Online book Creator as it does allow you to include text and gives more design versatility. I apologise for any disappointment caused. Kind regards, Bob Books

“1 -printing quality excellent. 2 - lay flat photo books - very useful for portfolio etc. 3 - time taken to print/deliver could be a little faster - by 2 to 3 days. 4 - very unfortunate that you don't have a direct link to selling on amazon (like blurb) - i am sure this would increase your client base as you would win on almost all other features. many thanks.”

“We were recommended Bob Books by very good friends and they remain good friends! A good product that is easy to use. Some experimenting with different layouts paid dividends since it is easy to get carried away with the wide range of page formats etc. In reality, using a few formats gave a better looking finished product - a professional coffee table book of a recent holiday.”

“As I had problems of print quality on my last order and it took too many emails to get it sorted out to my satisfaction I am not able to give the 'very good' and '10' scores I would have likely given before that experience. I await restoration of my total confidence by a return to the great service and quality experienced regularly over 8 years of use.”

“The staff were generally helpful when I contacted them. The software is flexible, delivery on time and the quality of the book was good. Only downside is that they don't let you have a pdf book alongside the print version. This is the only thing that would push me to look for another company”

“The book was a bit tricky to put together and took a lot of time to compile the photos and decide how to present them, but it was well worth the effort. The book is wonderful and I have recommended using Bob Books to many friends already. I hope to create another one soon of photos of my father who died recently, as I am sure the whole family would like one.”

“I have been using Bob's books since my granddaughter was born 8 years ago and have a wonderful record of her early days and speaking. A minor quibble. Why not reduce the price when more than one copy is ordered?”
