“I have used a variety of photo book printing services over the years, and have now reached the firm conclusion that Bob Books offers the best balance of quality and cost. Colour reproduction is spot on from a properly calibrated monitor, delivering crisp and vibrant results. The lay flat spine and thick pages provide a quality feel comparable with a number of more expensive suppliers. The downloadable book editor is easy to use and regularly updated to improve the user experience. I particularly like the ability to save the layout of a page, and apply it to subsequent pages. The only thing they don't do is larger format books, but otherwise a great service.”

“Having been a "customer" for some years now, ( 8 books ), every time I submit a new book I notice new piecies of software have been added. Any questions are answered immediately on the telephone, and using their software is easy, flexible, and exciting. Roll on my next book, what added / improvements are on the way? “My friend had just had a very premature baby and was keeping us all updated with photos and information via Whatsapp. It was an amazing record of Belles's first few months so I wanted to make a permanent hard copy of it. There was a lot of text to incorporate within it as I wanted to include all the positive comments sent by friends. A photographer friend suggested I tried Bob Books and I'm so glad he did! It took quite a while to put together, but the software is really easy to use and there are so many options I was spoilt for choice. When I gave it to my friend she was completely overwhelmed! It was absolutely amazing...much better than I had hoped and the quality was outstanding. The only negative was that it didn't come in a protective box which I thought it would have considering the amount it had cost, so I made a padded sleeve to keep it safe in. I will definitely use them again.”

“I evaluated a number of different self-publish websites before I picked Bob Books. I picked Bob Books because their software was the most flexible and the easiest to use, and I loved the variety of formats offered, including very big books. Ordering and transmitting my book for publishing was an absolutely seamless, simple process, and it arrived from England in about two weeks in perfect condition and it looks, as the English would say, absolutely smashing! I am ecstatic with my Bob Books experience and will be making more books with them.”

“Software downloaded no problem, application intuitive to use, upload no problem, book delivered in less than a week at busy time just before Christmas, finished product delighted recipient. For future developments would like facility to rotate images by small amount (e.g. to level horizon) and de-skew images so that true horizontals and verticals are restored in photos take at awkward angles.”

“I made a calendar in just over one hour using Bob Books' excellent online creator. For books, I prefer downloaded software but this calendar came out very well. I ordered 5 copies and received them about 3 days later. In the week before Christmas. Amazing! In the past I've made large calendars on Bob Books' photographic paper, which gives stunning results. For this quick, budget calendar I chose standard paper, which is nevertheless excellent quality.”

“I used the photographic paper for the first time and was very pleased with the results, much better. As before though, I found that some of the images were very much darker than the originals had been. Also, compared with previous Bob Books, the binding was not very strong looking - definitely not as good quality as my books made in 2010.”

“This was the first time I had used Bob Books photobook. The choice of books was good. I found choosing the paper type difficult, not knowing how the good the result would be. The ready prepared page formats were restrictive and I got on much better when I decided to use the unformatted page. After this experience I would probably find it easier a second time - if there is one! I found the whole process very time consuming (partly because my original images were large .psd and .TIFF files.) I found adding text to be the most annoying aspect - I could not get the formatting I wanted. The final quality was good but not as good as I hoped.”

“Very high quality service. I used the professional software as didn't want the logo at the back. This took me a little time to get to grips with (especially picture re-sizing and quality preservation) but once I'd spent some time playing around it was userfriendly. Would highly recommend overall.”
