“Overall I was pleased the the book.However, two things bothered me. 1.Some of the pictures turned out to be much darker in the book than they appeared on my computer screen. 2.Several of the pictures did not fit exactly into their spaces.There were small gaps between the photos and the black borders.”

“The final product has been much admired. The pages are of thick, heavy quality paper and the photos have been well reproduced. The book arrived very quickly and Customer Services were extremely helpful in changing the address for delivery even after the pack had been dispatched. I particularly liked the ease of sending a link to the online album to multiple recipients and the facility to keep the book private so that just friends and relatives can see it. This was the first photo album I've made and I did find the software difficult at first but no doubt younger customers would have no problem with this. Once I got the hang of it, it was relatively easy. All in all, we are thrilled with the album and the experience.”

“This was the second time I have ordered a photo book from Bob's books. The process is easy with a good choice of different layouts and options for number of pages. The book was completed and posted out very quickly. The only criticism I have of this book compared to the last one I ordered was that some of the photos came out on the dark side and not as they looked on my home computer.”

“Complete freedom to position your photos exactly where you want them, cropped exactly as you want them to appear - so now having to conform to pre-arranged shapes or positions on the page - just what I want! It can take a while but the results are well worth it. Only improvement I would like is an easier way to copy and paste whole pages of layout if you get to the end of the photobook and find you need to space things out a bit more or squeeze them up - so you need to plan the whole book before gettign involved in too much detailed positioning.”

“Easy to use software, and good, clear pricing. I knew the cost of what I wanted to produce more or less from the outset. No problems with the software, and able to tailor my book to how I needed it. Quick print and dispatch.”

“I find that I have to raise the brightness of images significantly because without that the printing process ends up with shots that look at least half a stop underexposed. It may be the inks, or it maybe the screen image, but either way without manipulating the images for almost half to three quarters overexposure, print results can usually be too dull for me.”

“I love Bob Books. I have used it for many of my clients and they all give good compliments to the quality. The only request I have is that they should ease off the sharpening. They'll get there eventually, I believe. Well done guys.”

“Overall very happy with the quality and speed with which book delivered. Sometimes the photos move while being transferred though which are rather unfortunate. Also, last time I entered the voucher code, but it didn't register and as a result I lost out on a 20% discount which I wasn't happy about.”

“An excellent service; the after sales is very good at sorting out any issues. The designer is straight forward to use. Be careful with colour space output if you start in RAW and check what is best for the printer. E.g. output to JPEG in RGB or sRGB; also brighten the output to compensate for the screen brightness to print. I've found the larger formats produce the better results. An excellent way to keep pictures in the age of digital.”

“The Bob Books software allows a good degree of flexibility in designing your own layout and customising the look, with a wide range of colours and fonts available. A bit more control over the precise location, instead of reverting to the grid, would be nice. Importantly, the saturation and colour reproduction is very accurate - the printing seems to be unforgiving with underexposed images, but in general, the quality of the printed product is accurate and as sharp as your images allow. This was based on the "classic" paper type. One slight grumble - I had two copies of the same book printed. While the print copy was identical, one of the books pages were mounted inside the hard cover slightly misaligned. It did not protrude from the cover, but when flicking through the pages one was aware that it was not properly aligned. Overall, I am happy with Bob Books and am already working on the next book!”

“Quality of product was superb. However packaging was insufficient and the courier (DPD) delivered the product in tatters. Picture was very badly damaged. Bob Books simply asked for photographic evidence and reordered my product. It would have been nice to receive a goodwill gesture such as a voucher for my next purchase due to the inconvenience but alas nothing was forthcoming. I would use them again but would suggest that they use stronger packaging and review their choice of courier.”

“The book turned out well and is of high quality. However I was very disappointed to find that the front cover was blank and the design I had done for it was on the back cover.I think the software is confusing as it shows the back cover before the front cover. Otherwise i was hapopy and the turnaround time was excellent. Dianne Markwart”

“The book building programme can take a while to get used to (for a non IT handy person like me!) but after a bit of time spent exploring it, it gets easier. Over the past few months, it is clear things have been being updated which is always good. However, this has meant that on occasions, when I have logged on there have been changes to discover and get used to, making the book building process not as easy and free flowing. Great choice of page layouts for varying numbers of pictures and excellent print quality on the finished version. Other members of my family also use Bobbooks so between us we have several of the book sizes and paper types. Generally we are all pleased with our finished products and have recommended you to friends. Thank you.”
