“Bobs books software was really easy to use and very user friendly. We enjoyed the experience in creating our albums. There was lots of templates which helped us when we had a lot of images we wanted to add. We received our books in time for Christmas which was great! Delivery was quick and we were very happy with the end result. It made lovely presents for our families. We would deffinatley recommend Bobs books to our friends and look forward to creating another album with them.”

“I designed a photobook as a memento of me and my Dads visit to the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles. It was really easy using the online designer and photos from my iphone. Delivery was quick and the book made an excellent Christmas present.”

“It would be a good idea for you to offer a sample printing of the same customer photo on the available papers. It would help to choose the paper and adjust better the brightness and contrast of the photos. My photobook seems to me a bit dark.”

“I have made many albums with Bobs Books and will continue to use the service. The programme is easy to use even for a non techy person like me. When I have experienced difficulties I have been able to get help over the phone from the support team . Many people who have seen my albums have been inspired to make their own . I have recommended bobs books to lots of people. If I could have a request , it would be to have a bigger choice of texts especially faux Hindi and Chinese . As I always make a holiday album after returning from a foreign holiday, I would like more choice of icons from different countries.”

“Hadn't used the software for a couple of years but the new version is a lot easier to use, and I got the book done a lot faster than I'd anticipated. Delivery was also far faster, a matter of days, and this was in the run-up to Christmas. As ever everybody who saw the book was really impressed with how professional the end product it - particularly the binding and paper quality. Only functional gaps we I couldnt see how to insert pages between existing pages - I could only keep adding pages to the end.”

“I enjoyed the experience of building the book, selecting and importing images, and messing around with different templates and layouts. The overall finish of the book is very good. The reproduction of the images is excellent, with no cropping or flaws. The quality is good and the paper is beautiful. My only real criticism is that I initially found the process a little confusing until I had found my way round, and I think a greater choice of templates would be useful. The ones provided are bit limiting, especially the ones with text fields. More choice please! Not cheap but overall a very nice book.”

“I wanted to produce a photo book of my wife's and I year, 2014. I wanted a supplier that I could use software locally on a PC so as not to be dependent on a internet connection, one that allowed flexibility of design on every page, and one that had a variation in paper and book type/size. Bob Books provided all of that at a acceptable price and a finished article that we are both pleased with. We have in the book, panoramas spread over two pages, or 1.75 pages with other photos added. The ease which I could do this was excellent helped no end. I have no problem in recommending them to anyone who wants to create a photo book. Nigel”

“The quality of the book is excellent. The software to create the book is good too. It is fairly easy to navigate and use. Having to populate/purchase 6 pages at a time could be a tad frustrating if you only wanted to add a couple more pages/pictures but was fine for me. This isn't the lowest priced product but it is certainly high quality and good value. I would use them again, especially with a discount code!”

“I have had a number of photo books and after some initial teething problems about 5 years ago have been delighted with the results. However, one small matter, on the order form could there be a definite place where you can request for your Bob Book rewards to be awarded as I had a very complicated route for claiming my first reward of £10 and am still not sure if it was successful as I was billed for the full amount. I was pleased with the immediate e'mail response once I had tracked down the correct e'mail number!”

“I I find the overall product quality of Bob Books to be excellent. I have had problems with print quality in one instance. This was resolved to my satisfaction, although to do so was more time consuming than I would have expected.”

“Bob books is a very easy to use software for edition of photography books. The final quality is also very good. The only improvement point is the tracking of the package from the moment is dispatch. No tracking number of the postal firm is provided.”

“I've used Bob books for six books now, typically for putting in photos from our holidays over the last few years. My wife and I had previously tried another website and been slightly disappointed with the finished product, where some of the photos turned out darker or murkier than had appeared on screen. We've had no such problems with Bob books, hence why we've gone back to them. The software provided for compiling the photobooks isn't amazing, seems to be basically the same as all the others from similar websites. Its good that you can do all the editing and stuff off-line, and then upload and purchase the book in one go at the end. Both the book designer and the photo editor seem a bit clunky at times, but as a complete amateur it does the job better than what I already had. Delivery has always been timely and reliable, with the books suitably packaged for protection. The publishing feature is handy if there's a chance you'll want to re-order the book more than once, or more likely allow someone else to buy it direclty - I am just about to make a photo book for all of our wedding photos that didn't make it into the professional photographer's album, so that might be useful for letting our parents get their own copy.”

“Good selection of templates, easy to follow programme. Very happy with the landscape hardback copy I chose, it arrived promptly, cellophane wrapped with well protected corners so no worries about damage in transit. I was asked to take photographs at a family wedding and the book was to be a surprise present as opposed to just giving digital copies. Whilst fairly basic for my first endeavour everyone seems happy with the results and I'm looking at doing another more adventurous book with my travel photographs. Well worth the money.”

“I was thrilled with the quality of my photo book. The software was quite easy to get used to after a while but it felt quite out-dated. My hard back lustre photographic book was fantastic quality, arrived in good time, and has been complemented time and time again. I can't wait to make my next one when I have some more travelling photos!”

“Very happy with the item that i ordered however i think you should send items by recorded delivery, or at least have the option for customers to opt for recorded delivery. My item was a birthday present and was ordered just over 3 weeks in advance of when i needed it and it never arrived. When i contacted customer services they sent a second copy via recorded delivery so it arrived too late - seems a little strange that a product costing over £80 wouldn't be sent recorded? Other than that, very happy.”

“Firstly, lets cover the application; I had a couple of gripes: 1) Dragging an image around vs. swapping it with a nearby image: the application guesses the wrong one a lot causing frustration 2) I had a defect where there was a 1px like on one of the "full cover" templates, which sadly made its way into the final print also I ordered the matte paper hardbook. The paper is a nice, thick quality and I was pleased with the print quality of my photos. The only niggle I had was the text on the spine was not quite straight. I was impressed with the packaging and was grateful that you cover all 4 corners with foam to prevent damage. The speed of dispatch was also surprisingly faster than I expected based on what the site tells you - so more brownie points there.”

“I produced a hard cover photo book on photographic paper. This was the first time I'd used the Bob Books app after using the desktop version of the software 3 or 4 times before. I've always been pleased with the end product and the speed of processing and delivery. I found the app had several advantages - much easier to put the book together picking up photos from my ipad and far quicker upload of photos when I ordered the end product. The compromise was the limited number of page templates and background colours (only black and white) and restraints on front cover editing (couldn't move title text and no text on book spine). Hopefully there will be upgrades to the app over time. On balance will definitely use the Bob Books app again.”
