“This was my 10th book with Bob Books so that probably tells you that I am a satisfied customer. The print quality as ever is excellent and turnround times more than acceptable. I made another book recently to try out another supplier and while the final book quality was good, the software wasn't as flexible and intuitive so I am back. I am also a fan of the lay-flat option which wasn't available with the opposition and I like being able to "publish" and share my book to those not near enough to be able to see the real thing. One minor criticism is that with Bob Books you can only increase book sizes by eight pages at a time, four would be better.”

“Have created several Bob Books now. They have always printed exactly as they appear in the creator. Lots of flexibility when creating pages. Books have always been great quality and look good.”

“I took the pictures at my nieces wedding and wanted to produce a high quality book as a wedding present for her. The flexibility of the downloaded software made it very easy to layout the book exactly how I wanted. The service I received was very prompt on a couple of quiries I had and the book arrived within a week despite it consisting of 50 sides. The clarity of the pictures and the colour rendition was outstanding and I would definitely use this company again.”

“This was the first time I had used Bob Books, I downloaded the app and compiled a photobook from a collection of black & white family prints dating back to the 40's. The app was very intuitive to use and the guidance video also helped. The resulting hard back phonebook is a great success, which preserves the old pictures and will be a pleasure to the family for years to come. Overall, a great success and I thoroughly recommend this service.”

“The book has arrived and looks good. I would not recommend designing the book on the App BOBS books because it doesn't give you many options. Next time I'll manage a book on the website. Quality of the book is good.”

“Initially the web site was good. Easy to understand and use. However I could not use the downloadable version so I used the web based book build. Initially it was very good but as I progressed the site went slower and slower, kept freezing and even throwing me out. I had completed half of the book by this stage so I had to continue. It became extremely frustrating and annoying so much so it took me over 2 weeks to complete as I could only load so many photos per night due to its slowness and ineffectiveness I tested other sites and other PC's and they were all good so sure it was Bob Books site. Some nights I got nowhere having waited an hour for it to load. Online chat did not help. Additionally as I had to return to the site many times and had numerous photos shown as used indicated by a tick, it kept mixing up the used photos so it became confusing which ones I had used once or twice as they stopped being in the initial used order, some even disappeared altogether. I also wanted 1 to 2 more pages not 8 as 6 would have been blank but was told this was not possible. I don't understand that, as running over by 1 or 2 must happen all the time. I couldn't do any more to the book as I was at the end of my tether and had used so much time on the run up to my daughters 18th birthday that I just had to print it and learn a hard lesson. Very unsatisfied with my experience.”

Hello Simon, Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. Having taken a look at your photobook, it looks like you have placed quite a large number of images per page. Most customers use between 1 – 6, occasionally on a few pages you might use 12 or more. As you have used the Online Book Creator, your book is designed on-line requiring internet connection, the number of images would have caused the Online Book Creator to become slow and buggy. I can see you did contact use using our Live Chat feature, a member of our customer care team did reply to you, but did not receive a response so was unable to help you further. To streamline our production we only allow page number increases in sets of 8, but continue to look into ways we might decrease this in the future. I am so sorry you did not have an enjoyable experience with Bob Books, as a gesture of good will, we would like to offer you a 20% discount to use on your next book. To avoid the same issues occurring I would suggest you use fewer images per page and consider increasing the page numbers if you must include all the images you have used in your current book.
