“I really like the card but still some shops will not allow you to use their toilets. I have tried it at the opticians, and also bank. I guess they don't believe or trust us.”

“The Idea is very good, but The name on the card is embarrassing to some people I feel a different name could be thought off, I also think I am not the only one to feel that discussing the age-old problem with other people, is not my thing”

“I think the idea is sound but I renain somewhat nervous about using the card. One of the reasons it that I need to urinate frequently and urgently but am conscious that bowel problems may be seen in a different light.”

“It is a good idea but unfortunately unless it empowers the use of all toilets it's not much use. This needs to be law for certain people over 65 and disabled people.”

“The loo card was fine and may well be useful, but I didn't like having Bladder and Bowel Community on the outside of the envelope it arrived in, for all to see”

Hi, Thank you for your review. We constantly review our services and performances so your feedback is vital to that process. We've taken a considered approach to the packaging for our postage and believe we have the right mix of being easily identifiable (so the receiver does not throw it away believing it to be junk mail) whilst keeping fairly discreet. “It was very helpful to be able to get a just can't wait card as I am a 13 year old with ehlers danlos syndrome which means I have a hypermobile bladder and often need the toilet. I didn't want to use the card at first because the leaflet that came with it just had pictures of old people on it and so I was worried people might laugh at me. I think the organisation is too focused on the old. They're not the only ones with problems and it can be off putting.”

Hi Jonte, Thank you for your review. You're absolutely right to call us out on the fact that we do use a lot of imagery that isn't aligned with your generation when in fact there are thousands of young people in the UK who suffer from bladder and/or bowel conditions. It's something we are aware of and looking to change so as not to put off the younger generation from seeking help and advice from us. Part of our aim is to make as many people as possible aware of the Just Can't Wait cards so that everyone who needs one has one, and those that don't need one are aware of what they are and why people use them. With that in mind I hope you continue to use the card, not only to help yourself when you need it the most, but to help educate more people about it as well. “I am having problems with shops accepting the card as they say they haven't heard of the about the bladder and bowel scheme . So based on my experience I can't give a score yet.”

Hi, thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources required, both financial and monetary, to allow us to print a name or photo on the card. The costs involved in doing this would also mean that we wouldn't be able to offer the card free of charge either. We also can't obtain proof of requirement for the card either - we do not have access to medical records and there are millions of people in the UK who need a card but haven't had a diagnosis from their GP/Continence specialist. We appreciate that anyone can order the card, but that's something we're prepared to face to ensure that those who really need it are able to get one without it costing them anything.
