“Card has been very helpful”

“My husband has schizophrenia and is unable to use the Internet himself, he has problems after having bowel cancer and a lot of radiotherapy, the card is excellent for him as he finds it difficult to explain to people that he gets hardly any warning before needing a wee and has to go straight away, I worry about him when I am not well and he has to go somewhere without me, the police may arrest him thinking he is exposing himself and he will get distressed and not be able to tell them what is wrong with him This card can be shown and they will know then that he has a medical problem and he is not having a wee in alleyways for fun or to upset anyone.”

“The card came quite quickly but I have not yet had the opportunity to use it so although I think it is a great idea not sure how people will react when I use it.”

“Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately, I suffer from double incontinence and so far I have not be able to go out so I have not been able to use my card. I have joined the Bladder & Bowel Community on Facebook but have not communicated with anybody as yet. I know now that there is support out there for me! Thank you.”

“Card arrived yesterday - thank you. Haven't needed to use it yet. It looks a bit too informal and insufficiently 'official' in my view. But I shall try it as necessary.”

“It's good that this service provides cards for when you need to access a toilet without having to say it in front of a queue of people. Secondly it's brilliant that you can speak to people with similar issues so you have a virtual support network.”

“If you suffer from B&B problems, it's well worth having in your pocket to feel at ease, and trust that if you find yourself in an unfortunate event, you can find somewhere to go quickly and the feeling of not being judged by the people you 'inconvenience', who are more than happy to help, is almost liberating. It helps with not only with circumstantial anxiety, but social also. It provides a great service! Great little card!”

“I've had the card for about three weeks now and I've used it once i felt embarrassed about it but there were no questions and they let me use the toilet and now I'll feel more confident when the need to use it again arises thank you bladder and bowel community for the use of your card I think without it I could have been more embarrassed”

“I haven't had to use my card as yet, but am so glad I have it. Shopping has been a nightmare for a long time and Aldi have refused to let me use the loo there on several occasions.”
