Macdee High Level Cistern - P/N: 13663 Firstly let me say that this is a review more of the item than of BES, who delivered the item punctually and I found their website generally easy to use and prices very competitive. The mouldings comprising this cistern have a lot of flashing on them and require a certain amount of cleaning up, filing, etc. before assembly. The item description does not mention that a WC pan boss is already included, nor that a pull cord and handle are already included, resulting in me buying both of these items unnecessarily. The item description does not mention that you will be required to cut out the lid for the pull cord mechanism on a high level cistern. Additional tools may be requred for this that you may not have to hand on site (hacksaw, files, drills etc.) causing difficulties. The filler valve (side filling) aperture initially leaked water on installation, and required additional rubber washers and PTFE tape to stop this. Finally and most seriously, the siphon flange that seats on the bottom of the cistern and should seal with a rubber washer has a large flat cut-out of the flange under the bell of the siphon. I believe it is for this reason that I was unable to make the siphon seal properly and the cistern is leaking water from this connection. I have tried several times to re-fit this item but to no avail. I suspect I will have to fit an old siphon to get it to seal. I would definitely not recommend this product and would definitely not buy it again. You have been warned - AVOID AVOID AVOID

We have noted your comments ,however, please note the product description clearly states inlet valve, fulcrum lever, nylon pull cord and handle are included. Our buying team will follow up with Wirquin. It is unclear whether the points you raise are a one off or a fitting error. Very disappointed over the size of the box the thermostat was delivered in. About 5 times bigger than it needed to be and included non-recyable plastic.

Clesse LPG 2 Way Auto Changeover Regulator arrived but the internal packaging, and the regulator, were both damaged. BES Customer Service (Nick) was excellent and, after viewing pictures of the damaged item, he arranged a replacement. However, the replacement turned out to be badly scuffed in exactly the same place as the original was damaged, despite the packaging being undamaged. Conclusion, something is wrong either with BES, or more likely Clesse, Quality Control.

Availability of products is second to none customer service is impeccable even if sarcastic however order pickers could ideally be trained to spot mistakes on orders to ensure correct fitment of product is sent out to end user also let down by courier service as delivery attempts were pre scheduled time causing down time and costs

Product good quality arrived as stated.. wrong size for what I wanted. Extremely unnecessary amount of packaging along with an unwanted unasked for catalogue. Courier just left parcel on doorstep when there was a safe place to leave it as instructed

I am not happy with the service overall because I had a problem and although the product arrived very quickly and my question was responded to very quickly it did not solve the issue so I called the technical department several times as advised but couldn't get through at all.

We ordered one copper fitting on a Sunday morning .Paid £5 for standard delivery.Date given Tuesday ups delivery.Tracked all day which indicated it would arrive before end of that day.NO delivery Was Made. It arrived late Wednesday.So by then I’d done a round trip of 40 miles to collect from another supplier to get an important job completed .NOT GOOD ENOUGH .1st and last time using BES I’m afraid .Great range of products but postal service let you and me down ...

The order was fulfilled OK and dispatched in a good timeframe. It is just a shame that the final courier could not be bothered to deliver the parcel to the address. It was left at the back of their shed (covered in bird poop) for a friend to advise me. I thought I was paying for delivery to door?

Delivery was speedy and free as my purchase qualified however what arrived at the door was something of a comedy sketch. A broken tub, all three boxes in similar condition. In fairness to BES this was probably out of their hands but less than helpful.

Product all fine as normal, but paid for next day delivery on a thursday morning and didn't get it until Monday. Still waiting for you to get back to me and refund the postage costs after i spoke to your sales department and they said customer sevices would contact me.

Unfortunately UPS let you down. They failed to deliver on the day specified and we had to ring them on numerous occasions’, they delivered on the second day at 18.30. We had booked a plumber for the specified day of delivery and had to pay him again to come back on what was basically day three

Our company placed an order last week for a before 10.30am delivery at a cost of £17.95. The delivery hadn't arrived by 12.30 and we had engineers on site waiting for the goods so that they could complete a gas job. When we enquired we were told the items were too big to have been shipped before 10.30am I explained to the customer service associate that we had ordered product the size of nuts and bolts and that the consignment was small to which he investigated and agreed and said the goods should have been shipped by UPS and not their other courier. He told me he would get an ETA and call back...…. my engineer called me at 5pm - the goods had arrived. I'm still waiting for a call from BES???

I ordered two aluminium ventilation grills and when they arrived one of them was damaged, three of the louvres were flattened, this could not have happened in transit as they were very well packaged, bubble wrapped and in a robust cardboard container, so it must have been dispatched like this, not good. It wasn’t worth the bother of sending back so I managed to straighten them out myself as they were aluminium and fairly pliable, it doesn’t say much for quality control.

Door doesn’t fit correctly as for one the sides are thicker than the original door although they are the same make, disappointed.

I have received only part of this order. It is nearly a week now. I spoke to Megan who did her best to track down the long boxes of tube and insulation but she has been given bad information by the delivery company. She was advised that the tube and insulation would be delivered today and it has not arrived. This IN NO WAY reflects on Megan. She did her best and has been given bad advice by you courier. She was very helpful. However this looks bad for your company when you say on the order process that I am to get free next day delivery and a week later my solar system is still in pieces waiting for items to arrive. I am really cheesed off and now wish that I'd gone to Screwfix. Please give your courier a good stuffing and get my delivery here soonest.

Quick service BUT poor product quality. I bought several different end feed fittings- they are all larger than the size specified. They fit very loose on the pipes / fittings, leaving a large gap between them and therefore consume large amounts of solder!!! Have bought various end feed fittings from other companies but never had this issue before.

I have a note on my site which says to leave round back of house. UPS came when I was not in and I had to travel 3 miles to retrieve my parcel I am not impressed

First, the positive. The product arrived quickly and works well. However I asked them to deliver to a self storage company. It arrived without any identifier on the outside so they had to open it and call the number on the delivery note to find who it was for. When I complained to customer services the lady I spoke to did not accept that this is a problem. She said I should put my name in the comments box on the order. All very well after the event but not really a fix.

Ordered some fittings friday 15th and still not received. I had to call BES to see where they were the following friday and was told they are at the couriers and will be delivered monday so we will see but not impressed by the lack of communication

Impressed by the range and the website was easy to use. Unfortunately I placed an order for Saturday delivery at extra cost and it was delivered on Monday. It looks like the courier made an error. Gave BES a call the following Monday and the lady I spoke to said she would fill in a form for a refund of the difference. It is now Friday and I haven't heard anything since Monday - I'm assuming that my refund will appear shortly but we'll see...
