Dear Mr Blow, I've investigated what has happened with your order and I'd like to apologize for the problem. During the time your order was placed, we had an intermittent issue with the connection between our website and our warehouse. A few orders were affected and unfortunately, we didn't flag yours for manual action so it slipped through the net. This problem is now resolved and we have since completed upgrades on our hosting architecture. Looking into this case, I can see from our call records that you did initially speak to a member of the customer service team who took some details from you, to call you back when she had investigated. Upon trying to call you back to offer to re-dispatch the order, she got your voicemail. I believe after you did not speak to us you then contacted Google Trusted Stores. We heard from them promptly by e-mail, at which stage the representative emailed you immediately to ask if you'd like dispatch or a refund. Internally we're going to look at why you weren't called multiple times when we couldn't get through to you to prevent this from happening again. We should have emailed as well. We're going to add some flagging to our CRM to address this. We do take customer service very seriously here which is why we are part of schemes such as Google Trusted Stores, and I'm glad we were able resolve the issue in the end. Thank you for your custom. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team

Paid £5.99 for next day delivery (important) and the goods arrived a day late. Maybe the couriers fault?

Dear Customer, You placed your order at 5.17pm on 16th Jan. So because your order was not placed before our deadline of 4pm, it was dispatched the next working day which was the 17th Jan. Your order was then delivered to you on the 18th Jan at 11.14am. So on this occasion, all the service levels were met perfectly. It's important to place your order before 4pm so that it is dispatched the same day. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team

Dear Customer, We're very sorry for this delay. Unfortunately DPD simply failed to collect our trailer on the Thursday before Christmas. When the parcels were collected the next day, everything was upgraded to the next available delivery including the weekend. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Excellent quick delivery. BUT Big big big let down was the fact they charged £2.99 for postage on a package that they only paid 69p to post. A £2.30 rip off.

Dear Peter, Firstly thank you for your order on BatteryStation.co.uk. In terms of our shipping costs, they reflect much more than just the Royal Mail postage fee. From the £2.99 charge, we have £2.49 to work with after the VAT is deducted. From that £2.99 we also have to pay for the packaging of the item, and the cost associated with picking it. The shipping charge allows us to provide even tiny low value items like the ones you purchased. In the two items that you purchased, we've literally made pennies in profit. Without this charge, we would simply not be able to provide the products to you profitably and we simply would not supply them. I disagree that this is a rip-off and we make our charges very evident, starting on the product page, then on the cart page and finally on the checkout page. The delivery page is also comprehensive. At no stage have we tried to hide the shipping charge. As a customer you have a clear choice whether to proceed with your purchase or not, and if the shipping charge is objectionable to you, you have every right and opportunity to abandon the purchase. Once again we do appreciate your order and I hope the insight into the commercial aspects of the shipping charge help explain it. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

I purchased 6 packs Panasonic PR10 hearing aid batteries recently, when I went to use one I noticed best before date was 05-17, I wrote to your customer services advising this was a very short shelf life as same batteries I also purchased elsewhere a few months ago best before was 2019 and 2020 Your customer services advised me if I wasn't happy return them for refund. I decided to try battery and found it lasted 3days these batteries I've purchased from you previously lasted 5+days Regards, A.E.Ross

received a poor pack of 9v batteries with only 50% power, dissapointd
Helpful Report
Posted 8 years ago
Dear Mr Robinson, The 9V batteries that you ordered certainly did not have a 50% charge. You ordered Sony Zinc Carbon batteries and this product does not have the same amount of power as standard alkaline batteries. Zinc Carbon is offered as a very cheap alternative to alkaline batteries for customers just requiring the cheapest type of battery available. The cost of a box of 10 of these batteries is only £6.49 compared to £14.95 for the alkaline equivalents. So less than half the price. On the product page, the description does state that the batteries are suited for low drain devices and are an economical choice. I"m sorry if you've ordered these batteries in error, but there is certainly no problem with the product. They are designed to have less charge than alkaline and are significantly cheaper as a result. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team

Dear Customer, Please accept our apologies for the late delivery of your item. You order was dispatched and collected on the 26th Sept. It was sent using our standard shipping which is between 2 - 5 days. We would certainly have expected it to arrive by Friday 30th. We're glad you contacted us by phone to advise us of this late delivery however the order had definitely already left our warehouse by then; and we didn't only dispatch it after hearing from you. It was simply a delay with the courier. Please accept our apologies for this delay and the inconvenience caused. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Some of the batteries had good long use by dates (2023-2027) but a fair proportion were old stock with a use by of 2017 which is not what I expected. I did email customer services who gave me the option of returning them for a refund which would not have been cost effective due to the postal charge.

I ordered 2 packs of mAh 2400 Duracell recharchable batteries for £4.99 per pack When they arrived the delivery note had the mAh 2400 crossed out and mAh 2000 written in?? Just to rub it in I then received an offer quoting £3.99 for mAh 2400 batteries. I always use Battery Station but will think twice in future if I'm not going to receive what i am expecting

Dear Customer, (Name withheld as not specified in review). Please accept our apologies for this mix-up. The line which you purchased is a clearance Duracell product. The original capacity of this line was 1950mAh and that was increased incrementally to 2400mAh. We recently audited the line and were given information from our warehouse that the remaining products were all 2400mAh. At this time, the description was updated. The price on the product was reduced shortly after you purchased but this was purely coincidental as this is as clearance product further reduced to clear. Upon receipt of your initial email, we immediately had the line checked and reverted the description back to 1950mAh. We also investigated why someone has crossed out the mAh and written on it, and we're still trying to confirm if that was from our supplier. As I reiterate, the amount of times that Duracell changed the capacity on this battery, we often received stock at different mAh as it came through the system. However, what I'm unsure about within the nature of this complaint, is that once you brought this to our attention, we immediately dealt with it, and upgraded your order to the newer Duracell Recharge Plus 2500mAh - a product which retails at £7.95 - at no cost to yourself. You haven't mentioned this in your review at all. We acted quickly to resolve this situation and upgraded your product. I do sincerely hope you do continue to use BatteryStation.co.uk in the future as we do everything we can to resolve any situation where we are at fault, as we did in this case. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

All staff on the phone should know how to sort any thing out ref logging in / placing a order ... your ref invoice 100017857 1 1 th Aug 2016 Hope this feed back helps you improve your call centre staff , lesson , do not pronmise a call back if your members of staff cannot do that , today is the 21 August 2016 .. I am still waiting for the two call backs I requested back on the 11 th August 2016 , there seems to be no system in place for logging a call back with your call centre staff , two different members of staff I spoke to on the 11 th aug 2016 , both failed to call back when they had the info to help me place the order .

A sad return to Battery Station, I received some Varta V625 Us but have no recollection of ordering them, Thought I was ordering LH44s!! I also received some SR44s (357/303) which I did order. Unfortunately they would not work my Barclays PINsentry. On checking with my AVO meter I found that all of them had less than 1.5volts on board despite a printed label giving a Best Before Date of 2017. Manufacturers fault rather than you but not good enough,You must have had other complaints.

Dear Mr Payne, Having read your review which seemed quite serious in nature, I investigated the matter thoroughly. However unfortunately in this case, I feel that we must defend ourselves against the claims herein. Firstly, having reviewed your order, you ordered 2 products. One of which was the Varta V625U which was added to your shopping cart as was the Duracell 357/303. Our analytics software shows the item being added to cart. This has not been dispatched by mistake. Secondly in response to the claim about the SR44s not working, there is a 10% tolerance in voltage which could easily mean the tested voltage is slightly lower. We have since test a couple of random cells from that line using a battery tester and they were both fine. The real issue here is that the device you are trying to power does not require SR44 batteries but actually requires LR44. As an engineer, you'll understand that these two batteries have different chemistry one being Silver Oxide and the other being Alkaline. This results in differences in voltage and current drain characteristics. In our experience the SR44 is usually found in devices which require a very long continuous power source with a stable voltage, such as a watch. The LR44 is very common and used in the majority of devices requiring such a power source. It loses voltage towards the end of the life of the cell but that is generally unimportant to the devices which use it. I have verified that the PIN Sentry device you replacing the batteries on, does indeed require LR44 by means of the Barclays link below. https://www.help.barclays.co.uk/faq/online-banking/pinsentry/dead-batteries.html I'm sorry that you have been inconvenienced by this and I have requested one of our staff to call you and explain this in a hope to resolve it for you so that the unwanted goods can be returned to us for a refund. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

I have used battery station for years. There products are of excellent qaulity and I have no complaints about that. The courier used is my gripe. I have had delivery problems before but, my last oreder was delivered to the wrong address, wrong postcode and wrong area. I then had to go across town to pick up the package myself. Luckily, the person who recieved the package wasnt interested in stealing a few hundred quid worth of batteries and all ended well.

Dear Mr McAvoy, Firstly thank you for the encouraging comments on the quality of our products. I am really sorry to hear about your problems with the courier which delivered your products and to the wrong address completely. We use DPD who usually provide an excellent service. Although the occasional mistake does happen, it is very rare and I've not encountered an order being delivered to completely the wrong place before. I will be investigating this with DPD to find out exactly what has happened. We need to make sure it cannot happen again. I'm glad you did receive the order in the end despite having to drive across town to collect this order. The customer service team will be in touch with you directly to discuss this further. Thank you for your custom and once again please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

We wanted replacement batteries for a toy, code LR1054. Website told us that LR54 batteries were the equivalent. So we ordered four. They turned out to be far too thin, so they were useless. I have now discovered that we should have requested LR44 batteries, which are more commonly available. Put this down to experience.

Dear Customer, We're very sorry that you were given the wrong advice from our team. Having looked into this in detail, I have discovered that the LR1054 batteries is not the same as an LR44. Whereas the LR44 batteries are small button cells, the LR1054 is a cylindrical 15V battery. So even if we did stock that battery, it would not have been the correct fit for you toy. The LR1054 IEC code for this battery does not seem to be commonly used either. Once again, sorry for the misunderstanding and inconvenience caused. You are most welcome to return the incorrect product to us for a full refund. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Dear Mr Andrews, We're very sorry for the delay in your delivery. Sadly this year, we've seen a very much slowed down service from Royal Mail and from independent couriers who've broken their service levels. The sheer volume of deliveries at this time of year is growing year on year and the delivery companies including Royal Mail are struggling to keep up with the increases. Losses are also much higher at this time of year. In your case, on looking into your order, it seems that the address was initially entered without a house number. Our records show that this was added on the 8th Dec (which I believe is when you contacted us). The original consignment was returned to us and we then re-dispatched another for which you were not in at the time of delivery. I'm glad that you finally received your order and I'd like to thank you for your business. Kind Regards, The Battery Station Customer Service Team.

Additional batteries, not part of my order were delivered, so I had to get Battery Station to arrange to collect the extra items.

Dear Mr Bishop, Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience of receiving extra items in your delivery. I have checked that you did indeed receive the correct items as well. We also appreciate your honesty in bringing this to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to collect the goods. It's been rather a hectic week with seasonal sales and our staff have been working very hard to fulfil all orders. I believe this is why the mistake was made. I hope you are happy with the products that you ordered and the service in general, and hope that you will give us another try in the future when you require batteries. Kind Regard, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.
