Very disappointed with my purchase. I mistakenly bought the wrong size batteries. I find it annoying that I was warned that returning the batteries can only be made via a special courier company at my expense, yet they were posted to me via ROYAL MAIL!!!!!!! Naughty naughty naughty.

Dear Mr Green, Wrong, wrong, wrong. The product you ordered was: Energizer Universal AAA HR03 500mAh Rechargeable Batteries | 4 Pack This is a NiMH rechargeable batteries and it DOES NOT contain lithium. So you absolutely can return it by Royal Mail without any problems at all. I have checked our customer service ticket system for any previous emails from you regarding a return and there aren't any at all. Nothing from your email address, your order number nor postcode. I also checked our website for the return's policy wording and we state that "Please note that it is illegal to send lithium batteries using Royal Mail. We can recommend a cost effective courier for the return of batteries containing lithium." Which is completely correct. Had you taken the time to contact us we would have explained this to you. And yes, the return is at your expense. If you order the incorrect products and do not wish to keep them, the onus of returning the items to us is on you. We make very low margins in batteries that do not allow us to offer free returns. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Not impressed. I bought ten batteries at what appeared to be a fair price until I discovered that six of them were 21 months old and the other four 12 months old.

Dear Robert, Thank you for getting in touch. As the batteries are manufactured in different countries, it can take 12 to 18 months to get from the production line to end users in the supply chain. The production dates on the batteries we sell, are in line with what you would find in your local high street. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards, BatteryStation Customer Service Team

Hi Stephen, Really quite surprised to read your review, which is unfortunately inaccurate and also odd. The cell you purchased from us is by Energizer. We do not sell anything by 'Enercell' - so not sure what that reference is. On our website we lay out the products you can purchase so we're really confused as to why you'd make a statement that you were not given the choice to buy Hitachi Maxell or Renata. If you were not happy with Energizer, then I really do not understand why you completed a purchase. Other sellers probably sell your preferred brands and no one forced you to purchase with us. It certainly doesn't feel very fair for you to give us a negative review. You ordered on 4th Feb 2024 and your order was delivered on 6th Feb 2024. We sent you exactly what you ordered which arrived on-time. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Some of the batteries in a new pack didn’t work. 3 in a pack of 10. Let’s hope the other packs I brought aren’t like this one!! Cheaper price but not justified by the bad batteries

I have previously ordered from Battery Station and been pleased with my purchase and the delivery time. Not so this time as it took 8 days for the goods to arrive via Yodel. First class post would have got them to me probably in 3 days. I have complained about the Yodel delivery as the driver delivered just after 19pm so in the dark. The package was half pushed through my letterbox and the driver did not ring my bell. This is not satisfactory.

Hi Jane, Please accept our apologies for the delivery which did not meet your expectation. It looks like your order was lost in the Shaw depot for a few days before it was found and continued on. First class post would not have been available as the batteries you purchased contained a high amount of lithium and Royal Mail explicitly forbid those products to be sent in the post. We have provided this feedback to Yodel who will take their own internal steps in due course. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Not your fault but I ordered my 10 small batteries 2 weeks ago and they still haven't arrived. The 5 working days' target delivery time won't be possible if they come via Royal Mail- RM told Battery Station that they work to a 7 days' delivery target. Not your fault, but what IS your fault is the fact that I had to make 3 phone calls to find this out. The first 2 operators said they'd get back to me and didn't. The second guy was argumentative and told me "We're very busy, you know". This was a small order, and if it had gone well I have a lot more batteries I would have ordered. Battery Station are very competitive. But this experience was disappointing.

Hi John, You ordered two different types of AA batteries. This is shown on your the cart page, the checkout page, your order confirmation, and on your packing slip, and this is what we sent you as well. Perhaps you made a mistake when ordering. Please get in touch if you'd like to return one of the products to us. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

I ordered batteries and paid for next day delivery as I wanted them that quickly. They did not arrive after a few days so I contacted Battery Station, who told me that they had probably been lost in transit and they would send out replacements, with next day delivery. The replacement arrived as promised - a week after placing the order. I do not think the original order ever left Battery Station.

Hi Stephen, The original order was definitely packed and we can see the timestamps and packing station on our warehouse management system. We even have video of the item being packed. We do not have an initial scan. The only time this happens is if a parcel is lost or damaged in the van between our warehouse and the courier hub prior to a scan, or if one of the staff put it into the wrong courier cage. We have checked the footage to see if that was the case but unfortunately we cannot see a view where we could see which cage the item was placed into. As soon as you brought this to our attention we rectified this immediately on next day delivery. I hope you appreciated, based on our 30,000+ reviews, we are not in the business of deliberately not sending orders out. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team

I'm choosing poor 2 stars not because of the batteries or the speed in which they are delivered. All good. I'm choosing poor because I raised a serious point about packaging and received a reply that insulted my intelligence. I wrote "This is the kind of lazy packaging that really makes me really angry, because it so thoughtless. Obviously the impact on the environment should always be considered, whenever something is packaged by companies for posting goods to customers. Why should the onus of this (now common) practice of having to remove the (unnecessary) brown sticky tape to separate recyclable from non-recyclable be placed on me as the end customer in the supply chain? On the one hand, you are using packaging “designed for recycling” (GOOD) and on the other, you are post-wrapping the recyclable packaging in sticky brown tape (BAD), which is non-recyclable and very hard to remove! I wish to express my feedback/opinion as your end customer." Their reply from Carol in Customer Services was "Thank you for your email and your feedback regarding our packaging. We do take environmental issues very seriously. We secure the parcel with brown tape to ensure that the batteries do not become loose from the internal packaging during transit, we feel that a leaking battery is far more detrimental to the environment." Conclusion: Battery Station need to package their batteries more intelligently. A battery doesn't leak if it is poorly packaged. So take note Battery Station! This feedback needs to come to the attention of James Lupton Director Alphafado Ltd, which owns battery station.

Dear Richard, I took the time to explain to you why we pack the batteries the way that we do and I stand by my reply 100% despite you copying and pasting your email to us in this negative review. We have experimented with packing our products in many different ways including book wraps, jiffy bags and boxes. All of them have had issues with damage during transit. We recycle 98% of inbound boxes, we use biodegradable jiffy bags, and we shred all remaining cardboard to make void fill. We are doing every as 'intelligently' as we can. As sellers of batteries go, we are doing pretty well to control everything we can with our packaging and environmental impact. As we are currently unable to change the type of tape we are using, I would recommend that you seek a different supplier who can guarantee the packaging to you, in a way that you specify. Your sincerely, James Lupton, Director

Dear Keith, Thank you for getting in touch. Firstly, your original order that was shipped with Yodel, when you entered your address, the post was incorrectly entered by your son. We then decided as a gesture of good will to resend you a replacement order at not further cost to yourself with a different courier. You sent an email stating that you have received and email for DPD with the old postcode, you were asked to disregard this email as your order was still in the warehouse and that the postcode had been corrected. Kind Regards, BatteryStation Customer Service Team

The battery charger I bought, works sometimes. However, it often flashes inappropriately and does not charge. I have not sent it back as this fault is temperamental, and, of course, would work properly when they receive it.

Dear Ian, Thank you for getting in touch and for the video supplied. The batteries need to be charged in pairs side by side, the one on its own in the charger on the left-hand side will not charge. Dear Mr Sore, It is not unusual at all for us to receive new stock from manufacturers that was manufactured a year ago. You incorrectly assume that there is something wrong with this product whereas in reality, it is very common for batteries to be produced in huge batches, and packed up in the following month, to be realised to distributors thereafter. We received this stock in January 2023. We cannot send you any newer ones. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Very responsive organisation with good communication. Unfortunately, none of the SR44 batteries i ordered had sufficient charge to work in my power meter. The batteries were from a well know and quality brand so i assume they were old stock, and perhaps low turn-over.
