I finally received the batteries after 3 days of Yodel being unable to find my house!!! I live on a main busy road!! Lived here over 43 years and we’ve never ever had this issue before. Yodel are simply not doing a very good job. And unfortunately you cannot talk to anyone regarding your frustration. It’s all Web-chat. I was then informed to pick them up from their distribution centre miles away! Which I refused because I paid P&P. They finally found my house…….

The parcel containing my order arrived well on time, in excellent condition and has done its job beautifully, as usual with all my orders from your company. My problem is with your delivery people, Yodel. The parcel was left on the floor, unprotected, outside my front door, open to all the harsh elements of the weather, especially in my location so close to the sea. No attempt was made to post the parcel through the letterbox, when it easily fitted. No attempt was made to follow the clear instructions I have by my doorbell , stating that if no reply, parcels are to be left in the secure bin cupboard nearby it. As it happened, when I received notification that the parcel was delivered and left ‘in the front porch’ (there is no porch), I was in New Zealand (where I knew that a tiny battery would easily fit through my letterbox). From that distance and in the middle of the Christmas period, I had to search for a neighbour who could retrieve the parcel and keep it till my return home late on 28 December. Eventually, I found someone at No 11 who was indisposed by my request, but did it. This was a costly very time-consuming exercise. I therefore think you should be aware of what happened with your chosen delivery firm.

Sorry, but I find your website very difficult to use, I want to order a particular watch cell but when delivered it is not what I ordered. I cannot get an order page with the actual name of the cell I want on it, if I want an LR43 I get an order page that does not show it.

Hi Raymond, And yet, the code was used over 1000 times on that day with no issues at all. Instructions on where the code box was, was in detail in the email. Not sure why you didn't email us or use the contact form as we helped a few customers with similar requests. No, we do not offer telephone service in this way. We do not have the resources to do so. Sorry to be blunt, but over 99% of our customers had no issue at all with using the code. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

The product was fine when it arrived today, 27 Nov, BUT, I ordered it on 11th Nov. Parclelforce originally tried to deliver it a few days after I placed the order, but without notification when I was out. They left a note saying it was at my local post office. I checked and it was not there, and it would have cost me extra (£1) to collect it. I contacted Parcelforce and with some difficulty arranged another delviery but it was NOT delivered. I contacted Parscelforce again and arranged a further delivery, but that also was not delivered. I then tried to talk to Battery Station on the phone and selecged the missing deliveries option, but failed to get through; each time I selected the option to talk to someone it returned me to the options question, so I left a message asking for a return call. I never got a call back. Today, the order was delivered and left on my front doorstep while I was out without any pre-notification. Thankfully, although I entered the house at the back, I happened to check my front doorstep on my return and collected the parcel. This was a most unsatisfactory series of events. Parcelforce cannot be trusted and Battery Station needs to get its phone contact system for missing deliveries working properly.

Hi John, We're sorry you had an issue with Parcelforce and glad the parcel arrived in the end. We do not offer customer service for domestic orders, by phone. We do offer it by email and during office hours reply within 15 minutes, usually quicker. When you call the phone number, it explains very clearly that we only offer customer service to business account customers by phone. So if you had accepted this, and used the form or email as requested, we would have been able to help you much more proactively. In the interests of transparency, we do not offer phone customer service for non-account customers because doing so is too expensive and would require us to increase our prices accordingly. We rarely get a complaint and the vast majority of our customers are very happy with the service they get via email. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

The battery received recently says 'Best before 2025' - very unusual if you compare with a retailer and may explain why batteires appear good value - and don't last long

Hi Chris, That is correct. Miniature alkaline batteries like the 371/370 batteries you purchased generally come to us with around 18 months on them, it can be up to 2 years. They never have long expiry dates like the 7 or 8 years on cylindrical alkaline, nor the 10 years on lithium. This is the same with every brand, not just Duracell. They should be purchased as and when needed and not ideal for storage. Kind Regards, Jamie.

The order for the batteries was easy to place and the pricing was competitive. The downside was the discovery that they use Yodel to deliver. I waited in all day since the Yodel app claimed it was on its way and needed to be received in person. It didn’t turn up until a day later, left in the porch. Knowing they use such a useless carrier would deter me from placing further orders.

Dear Chris, Thank you for getting in touch. We have looked at your tracking and your parcel was out once for delivery on the 26th of September. When you placed your order you chose 48 hour delivery service, your parcel was dispatched on the eve of the 23rd and delivery took place on the 26th of September at 9:43am in the morning. We also use Royal Mail postal service and Parcel Force next day delivery service. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards. BatteryStation Customer Service Team

Either the charger is giving incorrect readings, or the batteries are not charging to their stated capacity. Testing seems to suggest that it's the charger giving false readings, so annoying but not critical. Battery station didn't seem to be very interested in helping resolve the issue, saying that "We have had not reports [sic] or faults with this product and sell hundreds of units every month." Disappointing...

Dear Customer, I have read the correspondence on this case. We advised that the charger seemed to be behaving correctly. It charged the batteries, and there are settings on the charger to see what the charge it. It will not tell capacity as it uses resistance to determine the charge; and it would have no way of knowing what the capacity should be. We advised you to let us know if you were having any further issues with the charger and we have not heard from you since. Kind Regards, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

I ordered a rechargeable battery, but was supplied with a standard 'plus' battery, even the dispatch note stated is should be a rechargeable battery. However, company did accept this mistake and allowed me to keep the standard battery

Item didn’t turn up in time as it was apparently ‘damaged in transit’. I wasn’t informed about this until I contacted them to find out why delivery was so late. They did send a replacement but by then I had had to purchase batteries in a supermarket.

Dear Jackie, We only became aware that you parcel was not delivered when you made contact on the 24th of June. We dispatched hundreds of orders every day, and do not have the facility to track each and every one of them. When Parcel Force have had a damaged parcel which no longer in a fit state to be delivered, they will return the parcel to sender, as we have not yet received the parcel we were unaware that this had happened. When you brought this to our attention on the 24th via your email, it was dealt with immediately and a new order was processed. Kind Regards, BatteryStation Customer Service Team

Very disappointed with my purchase. I mistakenly bought the wrong size batteries. I find it annoying that I was warned that returning the batteries can only be made via a special courier company at my expense, yet they were posted to me via ROYAL MAIL!!!!!!! Naughty naughty naughty.

Dear Mr Green, Wrong, wrong, wrong. The product you ordered was: Energizer Universal AAA HR03 500mAh Rechargeable Batteries | 4 Pack This is a NiMH rechargeable batteries and it DOES NOT contain lithium. So you absolutely can return it by Royal Mail without any problems at all. I have checked our customer service ticket system for any previous emails from you regarding a return and there aren't any at all. Nothing from your email address, your order number nor postcode. I also checked our website for the return's policy wording and we state that "Please note that it is illegal to send lithium batteries using Royal Mail. We can recommend a cost effective courier for the return of batteries containing lithium." Which is completely correct. Had you taken the time to contact us we would have explained this to you. And yes, the return is at your expense. If you order the incorrect products and do not wish to keep them, the onus of returning the items to us is on you. We make very low margins in batteries that do not allow us to offer free returns. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.

Not impressed. I bought ten batteries at what appeared to be a fair price until I discovered that six of them were 21 months old and the other four 12 months old.

Dear Robert, Thank you for getting in touch. As the batteries are manufactured in different countries, it can take 12 to 18 months to get from the production line to end users in the supply chain. The production dates on the batteries we sell, are in line with what you would find in your local high street. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kind Regards, BatteryStation Customer Service Team

Hi Stephen, Really quite surprised to read your review, which is unfortunately inaccurate and also odd. The cell you purchased from us is by Energizer. We do not sell anything by 'Enercell' - so not sure what that reference is. On our website we lay out the products you can purchase so we're really confused as to why you'd make a statement that you were not given the choice to buy Hitachi Maxell or Renata. If you were not happy with Energizer, then I really do not understand why you completed a purchase. Other sellers probably sell your preferred brands and no one forced you to purchase with us. It certainly doesn't feel very fair for you to give us a negative review. You ordered on 4th Feb 2024 and your order was delivered on 6th Feb 2024. We sent you exactly what you ordered which arrived on-time. Yours sincerely, The BatteryStation.co.uk Customer Service Team.
