The basket wasn't delivered on my sister's birthday as scheduled which was a great disappointment. I ordered one last year and it was but this year something went wrong and the basket was delivery a few days later. The issue was with the delivery company though. The basket was lovely and my sister was very pleased después the little mishap.

The web site is easy to use and postage rate clear. In particular, I love the ability to send a gift basket to another person as a Christmas gift and arrange delivery directly to them at a suitable time for Christmas. However, I really wish that there were a few more options for baskets containing no alcohol or perishable goods. The one I chose (The Jupiter) contained the sort of products I wanted to send, but was more expensive than I really wanted, but there was very little choice without wine. Perhaps a bigger range of baskets, but with the bottles of wine added as an optional extra - you might get more customers that way.

Very good service overall. Prompt delivery and everything was packaged neatly. The pre-made baskets offer a good selection.

The staff at BasketsGalore was very helpful and cordial, and the basket I ordered for a friend looked great from the photos she sent me. I appreciated the "new home" card that was included after I explained that the recipient had just moved. Delivery was another story, and took much longer than it should have. In fact, the recipient waited at home all day, after being told the package would be arriving, but finally it wasn't delivered until the following day.

Great choice of goods, however, online checkout was a real ordeal. My order was for delivery to a Residential Care Home, which I keyed and, my preferred payment method was PayPal. Each time I was transferred to PayPal checkout, it would drop the Care Home name and password list the St address only, showing it incomplete at the Place Order stage. After several failed attempts to edit or over-write, I was forced to use card payment only - not reassuring enough and very frustrating as an overseas customer in NZ.

Hi Ian, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry about the trouble you had with Paypal, but unfortunately the address information Paypal pulls through is set by them and not ourselves. We too find it frustrating. We advise our overseas customers not to worry about the address information Paypal shows, but go by your BasketsGalore order confirmation instead. When you are directed back to our website after paying with Paypal you will see the full delivery address as you entered it & that is the address we go by. We also address check all orders before dispatch. If you ever notice a mistake in your order just pop us an email through or livechat with us and we're happy to help make amendments. so much choice and parcel was delivered on time and looked wonderful - if the wine bottle label had been facing up so you could see what it was, it would of been perfect (little thing i know, but these count) xx will use certainly use this service again. Thanks for making a friend very happy xx

Hi Jill. Thank you very much for your feedback - and the photograph you emailed following our request. I have shown it to our design & packing team, and it seems that the bottle has managed to turn itself over whilst in transit. We apologise. We are now examining how we can best reconfigure the products in this particular Wedding Basket so that the bottle is more rigidly fixed in place. Every Basket is like a jigsaw! Thank you so much for making us aware of this, as it helps us continue with our mission to keep on creating Gift Baskets that exceed expectations.

According to my dad the quality of the items & basket was top notch..unfortunately he did not get it till Tuesday 3 days after fathers day. Promised an apology note in basket but was not in it.

Hi Teresa, thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased your dad enjoyed his basket. As we explained via email, unfortunately you placed your order after the required cut off point. The earliest dispatch date available at this point was unfortunately after Father's Day, as the courier does not deliver at weekends. We offered to include an apology note for the fact there are no weekend deliveries available & to upgrade your gift to the express delivery service for arrival on Tuesday. My colleagues confirm this was definitely written & attached to the outside of the box in a window envelope, so perhaps your Dad unfortunately missed this. We just wanted to reply so that you know we did include the note as promised, and to explain that a Friday delivery is really required for weekend occasions. If you can order before 4pm on the Thursday then we can offer the next day delivery required. Many thanks, The BG Team

The basket I ordered, looked amazing when it was finally delivered a day late! We requested standard next day delivery but the delivery driver couldn't find our property. The driver didn't contact us to ensure the delivery was made on the right day but instead went back to the depot. I had to chase and give exact directions for the delivery to be made. It was arranged the driver would deliver first thing next day but the parcel still did not arrive until lunchtime. Not happy

Hi Debbie, thank you for your comments. We're happy to hear you liked the gift basket, but were sorry to read about the delivery delay. Unfortunately, as you say, the DHL driver had difficulty locating the address. They would normally try to phone for directions or ask their local depot to call, but I can see he/she scanned "address info needed" after 4pm when the office the delivery was going to had closed & so no-one would have answered. We apologise if you had to chase the delivery up. We do track all our deliveries on a daily basis & step in to help in cases like this, so please just let us know if you ever need assistance and we are happy to help. We hope the gift basket was well received and thanks for shopping with us. We hope we can help you again in future and show you what a normal next day delivery experience is like. Chloe @ BG

Although the basket was beautiful it was meant to be supplied with a message. I have had to ask if the recipient received the gift only to find they had no idea who it came from?

Hi Karen, thank you very much for your feedback. Whilst we were delighted to read that you were happy with the gift basket, we were disappointed to hear the recipients did not know who the gift was from. We take great care to ensure a gift card message accompanies each basket. Each message is printed and stuck into a complimentary gift card themed for the occasion, so in this case a 'new baby' one. I have traced the preparation of your order and can see this particular basket was already boxed when the paperwork was produced & so this means the A5 sized gift card & envelope would have been placed into a packing window/pocket & attached to the outer delivery box alongside the delivery label. A sticker is then attached to the pocket to tell the recipient their gift card is located inside it. We can only assume that perhaps the recipients did not take the card out or it somehow become detached in transit. We sincerely apologise if it was missing and have made a courtesy call to the recipients to pass on the message you had included in your order. We do also include our contact details on our branded delivery boxes, so please be assured it is easy for the recipients to get in touch with us if they ever do have a query about the gift they receive. After a problem with a mug that cracked upon first use, the people at Baskets Galore were prompt when I complained. My mom now has a replacement mug and is always happy with the quality of gifts she receives.
