“Overall the week's boating was very pleasurable and Regal Star an excellent craft. The office staff were very friendly and informative. The information given after booking was very comprehensive and added to the general planning of the week.
However, one observation rather than a direct criticism was the time spent in making sure basic handling, particularly manoeuvring onto moorings was understood. This was very limited before being sent on our way. This lead to some difficulties at certain moorings.

For anyone else reading this, please do just let us know during your handover if you would like anything explained again or in a bit more detail. We are always more than happy to help, whether that’s going back over the controls, ropes, mooring, heating, toilets or anything else that helps you feel confident before you head off.
And of course, if once you’re underway you feel you would benefit from a little more tuition, you are very welcome to come back to the yard and we’ll happily go through things again with you.
We want everyone to relax and enjoy their time on the Broads, so please never feel awkward about asking — there are no silly questions when boats are involved!

“The service was excellent. Very helpful people.
However the house could do with some improvements. The chairs and sofa's in the lounge were very uncomfortable and we couldn't sit in them for very long. We found the stairs steep, but in fairness we are no spring chickens!
The slope up to the front door is quite dangerous and the mats inside the front and back doors have sunken in, making a trip hazard.
As I have said we have health and mobility problems, so these problems might not affect other people.
I booked mainly for the fishing, but when one of the staff where topping up the day boats, some spilled creating a diesel slick which lingered for a couple of days.
We had a stuck tap which was fixed within an hour.
But overall we had a lovely stay and sitting on the balconies watching the sunsets and watching the comings and goings of the boats was lovely.
We will look to book again next year, but will perhaps look for a bungalow.”

Great having a day boat which was useful for fishing as small patch outside of house has a lot of boat movements.

“Great boat , as first timers very easy induction to the boat . Boat was clean and fully equiped . We did have issue on day 2 and it was sorted within an hour , even on a sunday evening . The manual on the boat wss very informative and had every scenario covered . Big well done to barnes brinkcraft”
