“Staff on the phone at the beginning of my order were extremely helpful. They all Went above and beyond to give me information I needed on the product I intended buying. Very satisfied with the quality of the chairs I purchased.”

“I ordered a demonstration model set of wardrobes approximately £1600 when I viewed and agreed to buy them they had two sets of led lights and a charging cable when Delivered and fitted there was only one light and no charging cable ,when mentioning this to your store I was told that there was not two lights and no charging cable and they were very unhelpful,so for the sake of about £25 they have lost a regular customer who has previously brought beds settee and was just about to order stressless furniture ,unfortunately I won’t be shopping there again”

“Happy to sell to you but sadly post-sale the experience was not so pleasant; Refused a refund despite being told at point-of-sale that it was possible, then accepted with 25% restocking fee, at which point communication abruptly stopped. I won’t be using again in a hurry!”

“I held back doing a review as I did not have a total good experience. I ordered two matching chairs. On arrival they did not match. Wood colour different. One was collected and eventually replaced but this did not match. The manager explained they had loads and could send me 12.,that may not matched,and refunded me for one chair which left me with one not matched chair. I feel you should have the wood marked chair on display in your store, not the nice one I thought I had originally bought I have now been left with a problem of finding the second chair for my conservatory. Not good.”

“Barker & Stonehouse in Darlington were fantastic and great customer service. I visited 3 times and spent time sitting at my new table (even with a cuppa) to get a feel for what I wanted and never felt rushed or pressured into anything. Ordering very easy and delivery was great, no issues at all, turned up when expected and received calls and texts to advise of times. Absolutely love my new table and chairs / bench. It looks fabulous and we eat here, I work here, my daughter does her homework here, we hardly use the living room anymore. The bench seat is so comfortable and I can sit at my laptop for 10 hours a day and never ache. It’s my all time best buy!! Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you B&S 😊”

“First delivery was half the order as the courier lost the other chair & stool. Delay due to attempting to locate the initial items but then new items dispatched and order completed after a number of weeks. Customer service representatives communicated well throughout the process and understood my minor frustration. Would buy from again, things went awry but they responded relatively well to ensure timely re delivery”

“Excellent delivery drivers and very knowledgeable about the product. However we had to swap the original bed we purchased for a smaller bed to ensure it fitted the room. We were extremely disappointed that even after several phone calls the difference between the price of the two beds wasn’t refunded. As a customer of the store for over 15 years, this was without doubt the worst level of customer service we have experienced from the store”
