I noticed after delivery, one of my swivel dining chair legs was not screwed on correctly, a screw was at a slant but not attached to anything. I called to ask if i could use the care plan for someone to come out to repair the chair and sent pictures by email. I was told it was a small job and i should dismantle the chair legs and swivel attachment to release the slanted screw and screw them in the correct way. I did not have the right tools for this had to go out and buy them to do my own repairs. I must of been misled when i was sold this care plan. What does the care plan cover me for then?

We purchased a corner sofa from Barker and Stonehouse, took a while to be delivered. The sofa appears to live up to expectations strong but yet comfortable. The second sets of delivery people were helpful. Would recommend this company

Sales support was faultless. Beautiful table and sideboard - the build quality of which was WAY above any other we'd looked at from other retailers. After-sales communications were pertinent & informative; delivery was made at a date & time agreed upon, and delivery personnel were attentive, helpful and skilled. Summary: perfect experience from start to finish.

I have had a broken lamp base delivered 2 times to my house. I was so badly protected it broke. Please invest in packaging heavy/delicate goods more carefully.

I ordered a 3 seater Stressless sofa and stressed that there may be a problem delivering it. I was assured by the lady who took the order it was not a problem as it could be delivered in 3 sections and would be assembled on-site by Barker and Stonehouse own upholsterer. On the day of delivery (Monday) it came in 1 piece and the very nice delivery gentlemen took one look and said "it won't go through there". I received a phone call from the lady who sold me the sofa and she suggested that I hire an upholsterer to dismantle the sofa and rebuild it at my cost. I pointed out that I had already paid the delivery charge and was not prepared to pay for an upholsterer, I also reminded her that she said it would be delivered in 3 sections. She then decided to contact her Manager. When she rang back she asked if there was another option to deliver it so I reluctantly agreed that a window could be taken out, which left me having to source a glazier at short notice. I pointed out that as it was winter I would need a day and time for the delivery and to contact B and S to arrange which was to be Wednesday at 10.00am. When I had the necessary information I was to ring your transport department directly. This I did but was told, "oh yes we will be delivering Friday". By this time I was becoming really frustrated and told the lady "No you are delivering on Wednesday @ 10.00am" to which the reply was "I will have to check and get back to you". This they eventually did and the delivery took place. For all this inconvenience they graciously refunded the delivery charge. To add insult to injury I was contacted on the Thursday after the delivery to arrange delivery of the said sofa. The name of the furniture is Stressless but it was made anything but.

Happy with the look and the feel of the product however, not all of the cushions fit into the storage section. This was one of the main reasons we purchased the product as we have limited storage, but we can only fit in the bottom (sit on) cushions and the back cushions are having to be stored elsewhere. A bit frustrating.

We were very well looked after and advised throughout the process from the sales side to the delivery team. The only slight problem was a sticking door on one unit. We were however immediately offered the services of an engineer or a refund. Overall we were delighted with the service we received.

We recently spent allot of money on new bedroom furniture, it has taken months to arrive and one of the sets of draws has bubbled and blistered at the top, these draws where £500 and they offered me - measly £50 then retracted that offer and said they would give me a new top, I’m not very happy about this, they will have to dismantle the draws to do this!? Then 6 weeks later other draws came with the wrong handles and a scratch on the top, I now cannot use the draws because I cannot open them and I have no idea how long the correct draw handles will take to arrive. Will not be using this company again.

FIRST DELIVERY HAD TO BE RETURNED THE MIRROR WAS BROKEN. SECOND DELIVERY HAD TO BE RETURNED THE MIRROR WAS BROKEN. CANCELLED THE ORDER SEEMS THE DELIVERY DRIVERS DO NOT TAKE CARE WHEN HANDLING THE PARCELS.
