“I gave a very high level brief of what we wanted for a multi centre holiday to Croatia along with our budget. Jack at Balkan Escapes absolutely nailed the brief and was very responsive to looking at different options. Having just returned, I can say every aspect was perfect and our transfers seamless! In particular, he dealt with a late change to travel dates and accommodation for one of our group quickly and efficiently, enabling us all to travel together. Nothing was too much trouble.”

“All our holidays needs were met by both Balkan Escape direct and all the arrangements they made. A real nice mix of accommodation and experiences that were as expected. Great transfers, everything ran smoothly and was just as explained to us. Great service from Jack at BE, all enquires were responsed to in a timely way and were always very helpful. No suggestion on how to improve, would thoroughly recommend BE.”

“It was a change from the norm to go to a bespoke company like Balkan to arrange this, but I wanted to create the perfect holiday for our 30 year anniverary. I had looked around and done a bit of digging on review sites, and they always came out with good responses, so I decided to take the plunge. Let's get one thing straight from the start, and it's something I knew about, but creating a holiday this way was always going to be more expensive then going via the normal operators, but I was hoping that the extra personal touch would pay dividends - it did. From the start Heather gavce a sense of caring for what I wanted, and assisting me along the way offering advice and guidance to when and where, and also for how long. I knew I wanted 5 days in Dubrovnic, and 5 days somewhere very quiet, so from that she devised the initial proposal. It was very interesting to see this, with options on hotel and room upgrades, advice on transport and locations. I asked for somewhere closer to Dubrovnic Old Town and Heather supplied a couple of choices, finally settling on the Hilton Imperial; again on her advice. The "quiet-place" turned out to be the island of Sipan, and the Hotel Bozica, in the Comfort Suite. Cue more review checks, and both returned very favourably. I added transfer to and from the hotel, and also a private speeboat into Bozica - something I think should be pressed home harder, as the alternative is the ferry and a fair walk with luggage! In summary the Hilton was perfect, as you'd expect from a top brand. Fantastic hotel and even better location. Bozica was very different; secluded and very laid back; again perfect for what I wanted. The room was the icing on the cake, to wake up to the view we had was worth any amount of money.. Yes is was expensive, but in the end you definately pay for what you get. I would definately consider using Balkan and Heather again, should we look to return to Croatia in the future.”

“Holiday lived up to expectations and more. All accommodation was exactly as described and allowed us to explore the local area. Transfers from the airport were seamless and the information given with the holiday documentation was extremely useful and gave us plenty of ideas for excursions and moving about the area. Balkan Escapes listened to all our requirements and delivered a holiday within our budget and we will definitely be using them again.”

“We took advantage of Balkan Escapes' three-destination holiday because we wanted to learn more about Crotia with a view to returning. We certainly achived what we wanted in this respect. Each desination and hotel were very different to the last. Brac is a beautiful island and very relaxing, and particularly enjoyable was one trip on the local bus from Bol to Pucisca (also on the coast), which to me is paradise. The hotel in Bol is small, serving great breakfasts, with a small pool to freshen upin at the end of the day. Hvar is far more lively, with a younger crowd, but also with plenty of sights to explore - and we had a great day out swimming from a boat. Our hotle here was more resort-like but again the rom was nice and the food great, with a spectacular view from our hotel room. In Split, our small hotel was in the heart of the historic old town (just as wanted) - again with superb breakfasts - and we especially enjoyed a trip to the Krka waterfalls in the national park. So it was a holiday of contrasts - sun,sea, culture and nature - and just what we'd wanted. Everything that had been pre-arranged with Balkan Escapes - flights, ferry transfers, a taxi - worked very smoothly and there were no hitches at all. I would certainly recommend its service, and tips, and will be returning to Croatia. Thank you, Matthew Rowan”

“Working in the travel industry I have quite a lot of experience of making arrangements but for my first trip to Croatia I felt I needed some genuine expertise. Balkan Escape came highly recommended and I'm glad I chose them. From the start Heather took our brief on board and created the basis of a perfect itinerary for us. She remained patient with our many questions and tweaks to the plans and I felt confident in the final itinerary. The whole trip worked perfectly. Travel documentation arrived on schedule, transfers and accommodation were excellent in all three locations. Heather had made good recommendations for activities and excursions which we really appreciated, and we followed several of them during our stay. All in all, a really postive experience. We felt we were in the hands of a company that genuinely cared about our trip and making it a success. I would absolutely recommend Balkan Escape based on this.”

“Excellent communication, Jack at Balkan Escape answered all our questions and he was very patient with us until we were satisfied that we had found the right holiday for us. Booking was simple and easy, airport check ins were taken care of and everything went smoothly, even the private transfers from and to the airport. Our hotel was amazing (Parentium Plava Laguna), the staff were lovely, the food was fantastic and the location of the hotel was perfect, just a 10 minute walk from everything you needed. Porec is beautiful and definitely worth a visit, we will be back I’m sure!”
