“Balkan Escapes made our holiday a lot less stressful than our usual book it yourself effort. Jack informed us of changes to the itinery promtply when there were flight delays and ferry changes which were all outside of their control and the tranfer bookings they made were great. As far as the choice of hotels was concerned asgain these were good selections for the locations that we'd chosen All in all made it a very smooth experience, as the whole "sorting issues out" while you're supposed to be relaxing is a pain and it was nice to have somebody else do it.”

“From our initial contact with Balkan Escape they were very friendly and thorough with prompt and timely communication, especially when discussing options for our stay. The holiday we decided on was well organised for this two centre stay. Firstly in Kotor ,Montenegro and then Dubrovnik, Croatia before flying home via Dubrovnik airport with transfers all set up for us for our two centre stay. Initially things didn't get off to a great start with our transport on the initial pick up arriving late but all in all things went very smoothly from there and it certainly didn't detract from the great time we had. The hotel choices offered via Balakan Escape were great and in a ideal locations for us. We couldn't have been more pleased and would have no hestitation in recommending Balkan Escape to arrange your holiday especially if you are intending to stay in multiple locations and take all the hassle out of arranging things.”

“From my first contact with Jack I felt confident that we would be well looked after. He put forward a plan and gave us choices of islands and hotels, at no time did we feel pressured into booking. We had an amazing holiday and when one ferry was cancelled Jack rang our taxi driver and we were diverted to a different port so that we could get to the next island that same day. All arrangements went extremely smoothly and I will be recommending Balkan Escape to my friends.”

“Balkan Escape provided an excellent service right from our first enquiry. They gave good recommendations and helpful advice on where to go in Croatia with a selection of possible hotels. We were able to easily put our perfect itinerary together which took in Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik. All the travel and transfers were extremely smooth and ran perfectly to time. We had an issue with one of our hotels but Balkan Escape responded quickly to this and also gave us a free trip which was much appreciated. The other hotels were excellent. We particularly liked the Trip Plans app which was a super easy way of checking on the holiday details. It also enables you to contact the travel consultants easily. Heather and Jack were our consultants and both responded with great efficiency to all our queries. We would definitely recommend using Balkan Escape and would happily use them again. Thanks for a great holiday.”

“We contacted Balkan Escapes to arrange our recent Croatia trip, and wasn't disappointed. Everything was organised by Heather Pfeiffer, and it was very smooth from start to finish. Heather tailored our trip to our liking, and all our expectations were met perfectly. The accommodation, transfers etc all worked out great. “Balkan Escape tailored a great 10-day trip to Croatia for us; combining the islands we wanted to visit within the times we could travel. We appreciated the flexibility offered to choose between available hotels/rooms. All the documentation was accurate and helpful, the hotels were excellent and as described. We were impressed with the punctuality of the transfers (car and boat), and the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff we met. When rough weather on our penultimate day meant an unplanned transfer to a hotel on shore (to ensure we made our flight home), this was organised extremely efficiently. We would definitely consider booking with Balkan Escape for trips to other destinations.”

“Excellent company. Helped us plan a 15 day 3 centre holiday in Croatia which worked very well. They organised all the amin. tickets, transfers etc. and it all went very smoothly. We had one problem (not their making) which they dealt with quickly and efficiently. One small fault (which is why its a 4 star and not a 5 star review) The flight back from Split was booked for 7pm. which we accepted as did not realise there was more than one flight that day. Had we been given the information on all flights that day we would have taken an earlier flight back to the UK. I assume the 7pm flight was the cheapest and that why it was booked for us However it was a small niggle and we would definately recommend the company and would not hesitate to use them again.”

“Three issues arose: We were told by Balkan Escapes the Italian rail tickets had to be validated online 24 hours before travel i.e. whilst we were in Italy - after investigation and emails to ItalRail we found this is not the case. The bed and breakfast booked by Balkan Escapes in Venice does not provide breakfast. Instead we were given vouchers for cafes about 800 yards away. The instructions for the pick up by the water taxi in Venice was confusing. Otherwise the holiday went well.”

“Great service from Jack and the team. All aspects of the holiday to Split and Dubrovnik ran smoothly which incuded flights, private transfers, ferry and hotels. Excellent timely communication on all aspects of the holiday including suggestions for additional excursions during our stay. The app which was supplied contained all the details of the booking and details of what to do in each location booked. “The customer service was outstanding. First of all they understood exactly what I wanted and found the perfect itinerary. Every detail was covered. Then I had to move the holiday which they did very efficiently, then finally I had to cut it short due to illness. Last thing in a Friday they moved our return flights and transfer to Saturday morning!!! I am so grateful to them.”
