“Really pleased we booked with Balkan Escapes as they explained everything and were very efficient in getting back to us with enquiries. If we could change anything it would be the company that did the transfers. First transfer the car suitcase space was for two cases and spent a while trying to get the third in. Last transfer to airport was late arriving as he said there was another hotel with same name. Again the car couldn’t accommodate 3 cases so we had to put one case on the front seat and squeeze three of us in the back. We would definitely return to the Rixos, it was lovely and great location and staff were very helpful. Although the Casa Manor Hotel was lovely - we would not choose it again because it felt like the hotel had been squeezed into an alleyway. Also, the breakfast area (restaurant) is rather small and not part of the hotel and the service was mediocre-one waiter was very moody. Last breakfast (which was at 6am) , a waiter brought a tray with 3 cups of hot water for tea, when this other rather moody waiter wanted to squeeze by him (instead of waiting). So the waiter holding the tray with the hot water chose to lift the tray up in order to let his colleague pass by. However, this meant the tray was mostly over my sister’s head whilst he allowed his colleague to pass. He would only need to wait a second or go around another table. It was very early and not busy but this was his demeanour. The roof pool area feels very cramped and didn’t see any sun umbrellas so we didn’t feel tempted to sit up their. The service at the Casa Manor was not comparable to the excellent service from the Rixos in Dubrovnik. Despite these small issues, we had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend Balkan Escapes and most definitely would not hesitate to book with you again.”

“This company were exceptional when organising our tailor-made holiday to Croatia. I dealt with Jack who was so patient and nothing was too much trouble when we changed the itinerary so many times in order to get the best route and the cheapest option too. The organisation of everything went perfectly and all we had to do was turn up for the flight, the ferries and show up at the hotels on the right days! The hotel choices were excellent too and the staff were so friendly. Prior to the holiday Jack was so helpful with any questions I had and he would respond immediately. He also made a last minute alternation to my flight seats. They specialise in organising holidays to the Balkans but I do believe they can organise trips to other countries too so I shall definitely look them up for future trips. Thank you Balkan Escapes. Great job.”

“My daughter and I had the most amazing holiday in Croatia in May. We spent 4 nights in Dubrovnik and three nights on Sipan island. We absolutely loved Dubrovnik - it completely exceeded our already high expectations. So glad we booked through Balkan Escapes. They took all the work out of booking the holiday and organising transfers (which went really smoothly). I wouldn't hesitate to book another holiday through them again.”

“All transfers were perfect. Villa Ani in Dubrovnik was amazing although better diections needed. Google maps don't always work when your surrounded by buildings. Couple of niggles with Lafodia hotel on Lopud. We arrived far too early for check in and had to haul our cases up the steps ourselves. The pool doesn't have any parasols, sounds a bit petty but it was 35° and so didn't use the pool at all. On arrival back in Manchester we hadn't noticed we would be arriving back at a different terminal so had a long walk back to carpark in early hrs of morning, it would have been nice if you'd highlighted it for us but we should have realised. Would definitely use Balkan Escapes again bookings and communication was excellent. Thank you. Helen Shubotham”

“I usually do all my own holiday planning, but was quite overwhelmed when trying to plan my first trip to Croatia, so reached out to Balkan Escape with my requirements. Heather quickly put together a detailed travel plan for a two-centre trip to Split and Brac and I’m so happy with the holiday that was arranged. I really didn’t have to do anything except turn up as all flights, transfers, hotels etc. had been taken care of. Everything was perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team at Balkan Escape and will definitely be back for more myself!”

“I had never used Balkan Escapes before but as the reviews were great, I booked a 13 night 4-centre holiday to Croatia with them. They were so helpful in helping me decide which places to visit then put together an itinerary which was fantastic. Very reasonable prices and the best customer service. “We felt all our holiday requirements were met.We chose 2 different types of hotels. One fairly large hotel right on the promenade, our second one only 7 rooms. Sea view.With fabulous customer care. The organising of our holiday by Balkan Escape was faultless.Transfers between hotels were all on time and great drivers. I don’t think we would expect anything more from Balkan Escape they were brilliant 🤩 Can’t wait to use them again.”

“A perfectly arranged holiday in every way. Airport transfers were exceptionally good and the hotels well located, and provided excellent services. We think you slightly underestimated walking times between hotels and ferry terminals but arranging cabs was easy to do. Only downside of that was being charged 50 euros for the trip from Split port to our hotel. We thought that extortionate. Balkan Escape did a brilliant job of arranging our holiday, providing support and information. We would not hesitate to use them again and strongly recommend them to anyone looking to holiday in beautiful Croatia.”

“From an initial enquiry Jack built a holiday schedule around the places (x3 in 7 days) that we wanted to visit in Croatia. Jack was extremely patient as we posed questions and explored various options. So well planned from the beginning using Jacks expertise, we actually stuck with the initial plan just having to make an informed decision on the three hotel options provided for each of our three destinations. The private transfers to and from the airport along with the boat transfers between the island and mainland ran very smoothly. “Balkan Escape did a fantastic job in organising our trip to Dubrovnik and Split. They were very responsive to changes we had to make and booked the flights, hotel in Dubrovnik and apartment within the walled place in Split as well as the transfer to and from the airport and ferry from Dubrovnik to Split. Everything worked like clockwork. A special thank you to Heather Pfeiffer, who came up with our itinerary and suggested the hotel and apartment. Because we had to delay our departure by 10 days, she quickly rearranged our itinerary. She also provided some very useful suggestion activity suggestions for the various places. I would no hesitation in using Balkan Escape again and would recommend them highly.”

Balkan Escape listened to our thoughts on what we wanted to do, and booked the holiday that exactly matched our requirements.
