“Jack at Balkan Escape came up with a 2 centre itinerary Dubrovnik & Korcula that suited exactly what we wanted and took the stress off us booking everything individually ourselves. He was on hand constantly through email and quick to respond to any queries. Guesthouse 44 in Dubrovnik was outstanding, the food, restaurant, location and staff couldn't do enough for you, it offered a very personal service. Hotel Liburna on Korcula had a great location and amazing views of the beautiful old town just a 10 min walk away. The breakfast offered was exceptional with so much choice and staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms could have done with a little more TLC for 4 star but overall we enjoyed our stay there. Our flights, private transfers and ferry crossings all went very smoothly. This was a different kind of trip for us in a country we'd not travelled to before and we really did feel very looked after. I'd definitely recommend Balkan Escape, a big thank you to the team from us.”

“We had a lovely holiday in Croatia. Balkan Escape organised everything we asked for and it all went smoothly. The 3 hotels were ideally placed for the activities we were doing and were the type of hotels we had specified. The staff in all 3 hotels were kind and welcoming, providing lots of helpful information about the area as well as excellent service. The transfers between hotels occurred exactly as planned. The drivers were polite and professional. They also gave us interesting and useful information about Croatia. This is the second time we have used Balkan Escape and we will use them again if we return to the Balkans.”

“Great holiday thank you. Everything went smoothly and all documents were sent in plenty time. The accomodation was fantastic. We had to make a last minute change to our travel arrangements which was dealt with straight away despite it being the weekend. Would definitely recommend and use again”

“Can I write a long review please, choose what you use 1 airport links really helpful and saved stress of going and froing 2 coach travel round Croatia was great reliable, on time and clean 3 would have preferred the option of a sea view where possible and would have paid more for that if asked, some of the supposed views were a bit of a misnomer eg street view was there but from the bathroom window! 4 accommodation in Pula was good the owner was really helpful and friendly- gave us walnut liquor, olive oil 5 2 hours on the coach was long enough at one stretch 6 luxury room in Split were very well situated but not luxury, whiffy plumbing and poor view 7 karlovac very handy for the bus station and staff in hotel friendly and good-humoured 8 zadar hotel lovely, staff offered another room as we were early checking in 9 we had a good mix of town and country, going inland was great to see the mountains 10 national parks were expensive and Krka very crowded return buses at 14:00 or 19:00 so proved a bit of a challenge 11 we really enjoyed the travelling around and seeing the countryside 12 most people we met were really helpful and friendly 13 saw dolphins in Opatiya that was marvellous and made our day 14 went to Ravinji by bus which was easy otherwise walked in the countryside 15 in grabovacwalking along the road on a hot day turned a corner and there was a caffe- bar smiles all round!!! 16 think that's enough but happy to answer more questions if you want”

“You never know how good a company is until you have a problem. We had a major problem which meant we needed to postpone our holiday for a year. It took one email to explain our situation and everything was sorted. If we had booked it ourselves we would have lost a lot of money and would have had a lot of hassle. I cannot recommend Jack highly enough. The hotels were great, everything went very smoothly and Croatia was amazing.”

“Balkan Escapes provided a professional and helpful service. They listened to our needs and provided the flexibility needed to accommodate and change their set itinerary. Great communication and background support throughout. Airport transfers were great but nothing was arranged following the Ferry transfers to different locations within Croatia. We were warned that some Taxis company's exploit travellers so we used 'Bolt' (recommended), to pre book and pay for a taxi. It didn't turn up, leaving us out of pocket and having to pay for another. I'm not sure why these transfers were not booked by Balkan Escapes when all the others were provided without request. Overall Balkan Escapes provided us with a enjoyable holiday making it easy to book with clear instructions for a multi centre trip”

“Our first visit to Croatia and chose specialist agent Balkan Escapes to put together an experience for us. I gave Jack a brief outline of what we wanted from the holiday and after some emails back and forward we had the itenary that we were looking for. Jack must know which are the best hotels because our accommodation was 4 star perfect. Transfers were efficient too and the rental car was fine. We went in September and it seemed like the best time to go. Pleasantly warm, busy with tourists, but not too crowded, epecially in Krka and Platvice which we were told get very busy peak season. I'd happily book with Balkan Escapes again. The whole process was easy, problem free, and we had a great holiday.”

“I’m so glad I found Balkan Escape to plan and book our holiday. From the start they were really responsive and prompt with information, providing ideas and suggestions that gave us enough information to make great choices on where to go and stay. The pick ups from and to airports were on time and professional. The app that they put all the holiday information into is really easy to use and helpful. They also made suggestions with links to sites for what to do each day of the holiday which was amazing. Best holiday company I’ve used yet and would definitely recommend them !”

“Thank you for a wonderful holiday. Jack was so patient sorting out the 3 hotels in different locations over several changes. All the transfers were on time and courteous. Our first 2 hotels I. Kotor and Dubrovnik were fabulous and enjoyed by all of us. We found our last hotel extremely disappointing after the first 2. This was our choice of the options offered but would not recommend it to others. We would definitely use BE again and recommend to others.”

“This was my first time using an agency such as Balkan Escape and I am so impressed. The team were super helpful and patient from the initial consultation as I made many tweaks to my proposed itinerary. The whole process was very easy, all documents delivered as scheduled pre departure and everything whilst on holiday went exactly to plan. The transfers were excellent, all hotels were lovely and I received upgraded rooms in 2 of 3 on arrival. When adverse weather threatened a ferry journey, the team responded quickly to my query and put me at ease. “We booked a 15 day Croatia holiday stopping in 4 locations on the mainland and islands. From start to finish the service from Balkan escapes was brilliant and very well priced. The package was adapted several times to meet our needs before booking with no fuss, everything ran perfectly smooth during the holiday, all tickets, transfers, rooms, ferry’s etc were as planned. All the accommodation was very good, matched the package description and all were in good locations with good rooms. We could not fault this holiday in any way and would highly recommend Balkan escapes. I will definitely use them again.”

“I asked Balkan Escape to arrange a holiday to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, visiting multiple destiations in Croatia. They came up with suggested locations and gave us time to research their recommendations.The holiday certainly met our needs and requirements. We stayed in 4 different locations within Croatia. 2 transfers were by catamaran and we were a little worried how this would work. As soon as we could we checked out where we needed to catch the catamaran and watched what others travellers were doing, this helped us and put our minds at rest. We need not of worried because everything was quite simple. All private transfers arrived on time and the drivers were very chatty and helpful. We stayed in 4 hotels, slightly dissapointed in the one (threadbear towels and worn out matresses, despite being 4 star) but the other 3 were fabulous. Bottles of wine were in each room with congratulation notes for our anniversary, a very nice touch. This had obviously been communicated by Jack at Balkan Escape to the hotels The booking procedure with Balkan Escape was excellent, they kept us informed about when documents would be emailed and everything arrived as expected We would definately book with them again if we were going on multi centered holiday and have no hesitation to recommend to others. Thank you for arranging such a memorable holiday.”

“We had a great break in Crotaia across 4 locations Pula, Plitvice, Zadar and Split. The engagement with Balkan Escape was positiive from start to finish. and we were kept informed about any changes/impact to our booking in the time leading up to our holiday. Our booking involved hotels, car hire, and transfer and all went as planned. We wouldnt hesitate to book again in the future”
