“Great holiday organised by Balkan Escape. We split the holiday between Split & Dubrovnik and both accomodations were lovely and in great locations. Balkan Escape were helpful when needed and would thoroughly recommend using them. When we arrived at the first apartment they said 'Aaah Jack has sent you!'.”

“We decided to use a travel agent as we had never been to Croatia before and I found Balkan Escapes on line and what a great find they proved to be. My contact was Jack and he was very prompt in responding to all enquiries and he set up a wonderful 3 destination holiday with all accommodation and transfers between resorts and airports sorted. All our hotels were great and all our transfers very smooth. I have already recommended Balkan Escapes to friends.”

“Excellent service. Well informed agents knowledgeable about the country and surrounding regions. Reacted quickly when we asked to change a transfer time with the local driver. All the transfers and were perfect with helpful drivers. All our accommodation requirements were met, accommodation in Divota apartment hotel was excellent. Just be aware that some of these may be on 3rd level with stairs that may be challenging for some people. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were well equipped with essential crockery and cutlery so that you could eat in your room. Coffee machine, kettle, teas and coffee topped up daily. Two day trips to Krka National Park, Mostar, Skradin, family vineyard and Kravice Falls were excellent, all arranged through Balkan Escape. Don't miss these trips. We had two day trips to Hvar and Brac islands, both beautiful and fascinating. Important message: When catching these ferries, strongly advise to leave 30 minutes to find the right ferry - there are many piers and so many ferries, they're not well signed and don't necessarily depart from the quay you were expecting. We would highly recommend booking with Balkan Escape.”

“I was completely happy with the help and process with Balkan escapes. Service was prompt, everything was very smooth and communication was good. Croatia is beautiful and all expectations met. Our first hotel in Dubrovnik, the Valamar argorsy was excellent and I would recommend. The second divota aprt hotel in split was ok, they have recently changed their breakfast arrangements which impacted negatively, not the fault of Balkan escapes at all, but whilst it was ok, I wouldn’t wholeheartedly recommend divota in split.”

“Great trip to Croatia with Balkan Escapes. All aspects of our trip were well planned from our flights, airport transfers, ferry transfer & accommodation. We stayed in Dubrovnik for 3 nights then transferred to Split for 4. I liaised with the team at Balkan Escapes who after finding out my requirements provided me with plenty of options of hotels in various parts of each City so we could make the best choices. We stayed in The Marmont Heritage in Split, a really lovely boutique hotel & Hotel Kompas in Dubrovnik again well situated by the beach with easy access by bus to the old town. Both hotels suited us really well & having the flexibility to liaise with the team at Balkan Escapes to ensure we had the exact holiday (within budget) we wanted was great. I have already recommended them to friends who are looking at planning visits to Croatia.”

“Everything was very well organized, with you doing the check in for flights and receiving everything by post. The private transfer you arranged worked perfectly and was very punctual and comfortable. The hotel was in a perfect position and very clean with cosy bar and good breakfast. Much bigger than we expected with more facilities. We were all very pleased with everything you arranged and would definitely come back to you for further trips. “Jack put together an excellent holiday itinerary which was flexible, after discussion with us and fully met our requirements. Accommodation and transfers were very good indeed, the transfer staff were very helpful in describing the local areas. The Lemongarden hotel is outstanding! “Happy with service from Balkan Escape and quality of accommodation in Croatia. We were contacted in advance by the drivers so no last minute wondering whether they would arrive on time. Only downside was the 60 steps on a spiral marble staircase to climb to our attic room in the apartment which was not ideal for guests aged 65+ particularly with our suitcases. We were unaware of this from the description provided before booking. However the staff did help us with the suitcases when we departed.”

“We have booked with Balkan Travel for 2 years running now. The first trip, to various locations in Croatia, unfortunately ended in me breaking my arm (no fault of Balkan Travel). When that happened Jack was wonderful in helping to reorganise our travel, getting us home and even sent me a bunch of flowers. Our second holiday was to Montenegro and Sarajevo. It went to plan, our accomodation was exactly as requested within the old towns, our transfers, including a 6 hour bus trip on a service bus went smoothly and I fell in love with Saravejo. I whole heartedly endorse Balkan Travel and Jack Flemming for travel in the area and willgo with them again.”

“Booking through balkan escapes made everything so much easier than doing it myself. Jack who I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The holiday went very smoothly including the private transfers . That company Octopus travel were brilliant as well. Jack sent me all the paperwork in good time. It was easy to get him on the phone and he answered emails really quickly .the info he sent about the hotels and what to do in the area was great. I would definitely recommend balkan escapes to anyone and would use them again.”

“Recently returned from a lovely 3 centre 10 night holiday in Croatia organised and tailored for us by Balkan Escape. Excellent efficient and friendly personal service provided by Jack and his colleagues, from the first enquiry right through to the flight home. A slight hiccup with our first airport pickup in Split was immediately sorted out for us by Heather with a follow up call from Jack to ensure everything was OK. Plenty of information about the destinations, (Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik), and suggested excursions etc. and excellent hotel choices. Jack pre-warned us about potential taxi price “rip-offs” at the ferry terminals which I’m ashamed to say we fell for in Dubrovnik even after following the “Official Taxi” rank signs. So I suggest that the offer of pre-booked ferry pick-ups in the itinerary might be a good idea. That aside I can’t speak highly enough of the service provided and I would certainly book through Balkan Escape again and will not hesitate to recommend them to others - particulary as I now understand that their service is not limited to the Balkans.”

“Just back from 10 nights in Croatia. A huge thank you to Heather who was very patient helping us to perfect the personalised itinerary. We had 3 nights in Split at the Dioklrcijan hotel which was lovely with balcony sea views. Moved on to Bol on island of Brac. Absolutely wonderful place and superb hotel vitar with amazing views of Hvar. Then on to Hvar for 3 nights at Amfora Grand Beach. All transfers were well organised and went flawlessly and we were kept up to date during our stay. Jack was very helpful on our 2nd day when we struggled to find where to pick up the coach for our trip to the national park which I booked, Jack got back to us in a few minutes with the information. We would strongly recommend Balkan Escapes for value, planning individual trips and help while travelling. A big thank you to everyone involved.”

“We were recommed to use Balkan Escape by very good friends who had used them last year. We were not disappointed, Jack gave us a first clas service from start to finish which made everything stress free. We had a 10 day holiday in Split and Dubrovnik flights, airport transfers and the ferry all organised. He recommended 2 hotels, The Luxe in Split and Royal Princess in Dubrovik both well situated and perfect for our holiday. I would have no hestitaion in using them again and will certainly recommened the everyone.”
