“We were recommended to use Balkan Escape by our daughter who had used them previously, the company exceeded our expectations with every aspect of our holiday. We had a three centre holiday in Slovenia and Croatia, the accommodation was excellent, the private transfers were punctual in modern spacious vehicles. Jack provided an itinerary that met our requirements fully, the booking process was very easy following that. We would have no hesitation in using Balkan again, we even persuaded two friends to join us on the holiday who were throughly impressed with the services provided. A big thank you to Jack Fleming”

“Excellent service and helpful travel documents supplied with comprehensive details of our holiday. Every detail from the seats on the plane, pick up from airport to the hotel we were staying and tourists tax paid for our two week stay, ferry to islands and trips organised were included in the price. This is the best travel agent that I have ever used.”

“From the start of booking to end of holiday was faultless. I had discussions with what I would like from countries to visit and things I like doing and the itinerary created was perfect. All transfers arranged and all on time, accommodation was good, suggestions of things to do and places to visit was good. Communication was really good, If I was wishing to visit countries that they cover again I would definately book again.”

“We all had a wonderful holiday in Slovenia booked through Jack at Balkan Escapes. From the outset they made everything very easy, from recommending hotels, answering my numerous questions to booking everything including all our private transfers (we stayed at 3 locations during our 10 night stay, Lake Bled, Portoroz and Ljubljana). All communications were easy and clear and we would not hesitate to use Balkan Escapes again for future holidays. Slovenia is so beautiful, clean, eco-friendly and great food too, we enjoyed each location very much. Thanks very much.”

“Absolutely brilliant. Valamar Riviera Porec then Arupinum Rovinj both excellent. Breakfast at Valamar amazing!! Arupinum perfect small hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for you Both hotels great position. Valamar right on waterfront Arupinum 15 min stroll to sea and old town. The other way right on edge of parkland shady trees and endless beaches Hot hot so everything at slow pace. Pool at Arupinum great to come back to and cool off - Highly recommend both hotels”

“We wanted a holiday that encompassed a feel of both city and country. This we achieved by spending 3 days in Ljubljana and then 7 days at Lake Bohinj From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay the accommadtion and transfers organised by Balkan Escapes was excellent. All the taxi transfers arrived at the pick up points on time and at boths stays the staff were great. On our journey home, when we were informed by Balkan Escape staff(Jack Fleming) that our Easyjet flight was cancelled He was excellent in organising 2 nights extra accommodation, transfers and flight home from Zagreb. Jack over 2 days kept us fully informed as to what was happening and sentus all the required documentation. He was really great, please say a big 'thank you' to him. In telling friends about our holiday and extra experiences we have always mentioned Balkan Escapes, so we will not hesitate to use you again if we visit the area in the future. The Hotel Gasperin in which we stayed at Lake Bohinj is great - 5mins walk from the lake, the owners and staff very helful and always willing to make sure your stay was the best - highly recommended.”

“Balkan Escape structured a great holiday for us travelling as a couple. From initial discusssions via phone and email, we found their knowledge to be reassuring but also very helpful in choosing exactly what we wanted from each destination. After many changes the final holiday was agreed. On arrival a seamless airport transfer and welcoming hotel awaited and it continued throughout as we visited different islands and cities on our trip. We can't thank Balkan Escape enough and would recommend them and Croatia to everyone.”

“This is the second time we have used Balkan escapes for their very personal service. Nothing is too much trouble and everything went like clockwork. They are a small friendly team who know their stuff. Bozica hotel on Sipan island is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location but be aware there is nowhere to go and nothing to do unless you are prepared to catch a ferry. The hotel will take you to other places locally in their speed boat for a charge. There are also a lots of steps so not easy for those with mobility issues, but if you just want to chill out it's perfect.”

“The experience with Escape Balkan has been exceptional as has Jack’s personal attention to detail Everything worked out well The choice of hotels excellent, we particularly enjoyed the Heritage Hotel in Ljubljana. Nice to get away from the usual large global chains , similarly the Piran . The hotel at Lake Bled offered a great location as did the others Drivers all attended ahead of time Slovenia amazing in so many ways So as you might surmise , we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and the experience with your agency Well done!”

“I had an amazing holiday arranged by Balkan Escapes which included stays in Split, Korcula & Dubrovnik. The apartments/hotels were all lovely & in good locations. The breakfasts provided were filling with plenty of choice & of a high standard. The transfers all went smoothly & i would not hesitate in recommending this company. The only minor issue that occurred was in trying to access our accommodation in Split at La Porta Luxury Rooms as we needed an access code to enter which we hadn't been provided with, luckily someone was returning there so was able to let us in but something to be aware of.”

“Fantastic Holiday, Fantastic Service from Balkan Escape This holiday took quite a bit of back-and-forth with Heather to get the itinerary just right, and her patience was truly incredible. By the end, I think I was annoying myself with all the changes! Throughout the entire planning and booking process, right up to our departure, the communication was excellent and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Our first stop was a four-night stay at the Brown Beach House Hotel in Trogir. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful old town on foot, and our room was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. The only downside was the aircraft noise. We knew the hotel was close to the airport, but the planes were surprisingly loud, often bringing conversations to a temporary halt as they flew overhead. We then spent three nights at Hotel Degenija near Plitvice National Park. The hotel was comfortable and ideally located for visiting the national park, provided you have a car. The bar service was a little inconsistent at times, but the hotel has tremendous potential. They are in the process of opening a new section with additional restaurant and bar facilities, which should greatly enhance the guest experience, as the current amenities seem stretched by the hotel's expanded capacity. One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was discovering the "secret" swimming pools in the river below the hotel. We spotted a walking trail and hoped it might lead to a swimming spot. Reception confirmed it did, and it turned out to be absolutely stunning – a real hidden gem. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend Balkan Escape. The service was excellent from start to finish, and I would not hesitate to book with them again or recommend them to others.”
