“"Jack and Heather from Balkan Escape were very friendly, helpful and professional in arranging our 10 day holiday in Croatia. The 'Trip Plans' app worked really well and all required documentation was sent to us exactly as planned. Airport and Ferry transfers were seamless; each aspect of travel between 3 destinations had been covered. We were given several options for hotels and every one selected via their advice was excellent - 5 star staff who couldn't do enough for you and exceptional food. Various trips/activities were suggested and again the choice offered was spot on. We would have no hesitation in recommending Balkan Escape for any future holiday in the Balkan/Italy regions. “We usually book everything ourselves so initially were a little hesitant to use a travel company. However, we are so pleased we used Balkan, the entire experience was amazing. Heather took time to understand what we wanted & came up with a fabulous itinerary. The pricing was a suprise as it was so reasonable. All our transfers were taken care of & it all ran like clockwork. The after sales team have been brilliant too. They are instantly there for any questions & when I asked for hard copies of the documents, they arrived in the post, less than 24 hours later (not sure how you managed that Team Balkan but you did). We cannot fault a single thing, hotel recommdations were spot on & trip suggestions. I'd 1 million percent recommend Balkan & will definitely use them again Thank you for a faultless experience 😊”

“Jack and his team did an brilliant job of organising our two centre Croatian holiday (Split and Dubrovnik). Any questions were met with a speedy and efficient response. The accommodation in both locations was excellent. The transfers were very smooth in high quality vehicles. Jack suggested places to visit in both locations which was very helpful. We did manage to visit most of the suggestions but thunderstorms, heavy rain and high winds did curtail our activities slightly. However it must be said that Balkan Escapes are not responsible for the unusual weather. In summary we found the service from Balkan Escapes absolutely wonderful and would recommend them.”

“We felt that all of our holiday needs and requirements were fully met from start to finish. The service was really well tailored to what we were looking for, and everything felt carefully considered. Our accommodation and transfers were exactly as we had expected. Communication was excellent throughout, especially around our late self check-in, and the drivers for the transfers were in touch with me directly, which made everything very smooth and stress-free. The service provided by Balkan Escape was excellent throughout. Communication was clear, helpful, and friendly, and we felt well supported both during the booking process and while we were away. Everyone we met, from the drivers to the accommodation hosts, were absolutely lovely and welcoming, and they also gave us great recommendations for less touristy places to eat, which really enhanced our trip. We also booked some of the excursions Balkan Escapes recommended and they did not disappoint! A real highlight of the holiday. The whole process felt easy and well organised, and everything was handled professionally. We would absolutely book through Balkan Escape again and would happily recommend them to friends and family. The crew demonstrated great pride in their work, the ship and the company. It was great that all the transfers and pick ups worked like clockwork. “We enjoyed our holiday immensely and your suggested met our requirements. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, the transfers were well organised, apart from them being unaware of a well advertised event in Zadar, which caused a delay in our pick up. The service was excellent, particularly being able to connect you on a Sunday, when we had an issue with the transfer from Zadar. The booking process went very smoothly, we would definitely use Balkan Escape again and recommend them to others.”

“I have always booked our holidays independently but thought I would try Balkan Escape to test using an agent. I have to say that everything about our trip to Split and Dubrovnik was brilliantly organised for us with far less effort than if I had done it myself. Travel, transfers and hotels were all great and I would estimate that costs were competitive with a DIY holiday with more reassurance and support from Jack and the team.”

“This was our first visit to Croatia and the advice we received from Jack was invaluable. We felt the holiday was designed especially for us, based on our specific requirements, rather than a typical 'off the shelf' package. Communication from the outset was first class with excellent recommendations for hotels and activities during our stay. The private transfers were seemless and added a touch of luxury to our holiday. The drivers were very efficient and super friendly. We would love to return to Croatia and will have no hesitation in booking again through Balkan Escape.”

Balkan Escape arrangements all worked very well and we were very pleased with their service. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Split, Korcula and Dubrovnik. Can't speak highly enough of the boutique hotel Splendida in Split and the excellent friendly staff.”

“This is the second time we have booked a holiday using Balkan Escape. I would say that the service provided is helpful, timely and efficient. The holiday met all our requirements; we found the day trip ideas very helpful and booked ourselves two of the recommended trips. This helped fill our itinerary and make the most of our time in Italy. We appreciated the tip about using local transport for the transfer between Pisa airport and our hotel, the Pizamover was cheap and very simple to use. With regards to the hotels, Hotel Pisa Tower was in a great spot, the room was lovely and staff very helpful, the only issue was the fact that they were digging up the road right outside our room and work commenced at 0730 both mornings. Hotel Santa Maria Novella was also lovely, great location and the staff were helpful, I had chosen this hotel based on the fact that it had a roof top terrace bar, however it appears that this may only be open seasonally and it wasn’t open during our stay. Seven Suites was a collection of apartments on the fourth floor of a multi-purpose building, thankfully someone was leaving the building on our arrival and assisted us with gaining access. The reception is only open until 2pm, therefore there was no one present on our arrival, cleaning staff gave us access to our room. The breakfast was provided by a bakery/café next door, this was always busy, usually leaving standing room only. The breakfast choices were either coffee or juice and the option of a pastry. Although the room was nice and clean, it didn’t provide the service l would expect from 4 star accommodation. The transfer arranged to Rome airport arrived 30 minutes early, we had no notification regarding this and was unaware of who would providing the transport. Thankfully we were ready and in the café, otherwise we would have been completely oblivious to this fact. All that being said, we did enjoy our holiday, l just thought the honest feedback regarding the hotels would be important. I would recommend Balkan Escape to friends and family. “The service was quick and efficient. We would have appreciated to have been told that most places of interest, museums etc. are closed on Mondays as well as Holy week. So we were not able to visit some sites due to the fact that we arrived in Holy week. There was not enough to do in Split for the duration of our stay and due to high winds and cold Havr was inaccessible and a lot of the sites were closed. Split intself is only good for two days with everything open. We took local buses to Trogir and Omis”
