“I approached Balkan Escapes earlier this year to help me try and pull together a multi-centre trip to Croatia. Jack, my contact, understood our requirements immediately and was able to put together a dream holiday for us. The attention to detail was phenomenal; each stage of the trip was meticulously planned and included recommendations on things to see and do. The hotels we stayed in were fantastic; all in great locations, an amazing breakfast, and managed by attentive staff. We faced flight delays on our way home, but were kept up to date by Balkan Escapes on an almost minute by minute basis, which made a long day a little less stressful. I would highly recommend Jack and the team at Balkan Escapes.”

“Jack helped us organise the most amazing trip to Croatia. The hotels were exactly as expected, the transfers were always on time and the excursion recommendations were excellent. We booked a couple of excursions through Viatur, as suggested by Jack, and these were also excellent - the white water rafting; ziplining and eco tuk tuk tour of Split. The staff were all enthusiastic and professional. All in all, we felt supremely well looked after and would definately use Balkan Escapes again! Thank you”

“Fantastic service, talented trip exactly to our needs (family with older teens) All questions and queries answered quickly H 2 centre holiday was great and all went to plan. 2nd hotel on lopud was a little dated (AC not working and although staff fixed quickly never really worked) and staff inexperienced no real issues Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a croatia holiday that is slightly different to main travel agencies. Would l9ve to back and explore other parts of the region and would use Balkan Escape again.”

“Excellent! I first started contacting Balkan escape after seeing they organised Croatian holidays. I sent a email outline what we wanted and with a day or so I got a response with a fully costed holiday. With a few minor tweaks after given multiple options such as hotel location and potential hotel upgrades, we had the holiday planned with a very simple payment link sent over once I was happy to pay the deposit. I also want to add from the start not only was the itinerary planned for hotels, transfer and ferry’s there was also some great tourist activity suggestions made for each of the areas we visited. Our agent Jack kept in touch regularly for updates on flights. As well as receiving updates through the travel app which had our itinerary for even small flight changes. The hotels picked out were excellent, the organisation spot on, It was great holiday was everything we wanted. A great trip to Dubrovnik, Hvar & split. Will definitely use Balkan Eacape again for future bookings in Europe.”

“Fantastic service. Bespoke itenarary , they worked with me when I wanted changes, nothing too much trouble. Always quick to respond to emails. But.. Jack was fantastic when flight was cancelled due to a (spectacular) storm). When other passengers getting the run around from easyJet Jack booked us a new flight for the next morning..all this at 1 am!!! Couldn't fault them. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again”

“Jack was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when helping us make our holiday arrangements. He made hotel suggestions, booked all our flights and transfers for 3 different centres and all our documents including boarding passes were emailed and posted well in advance. He made suggestions for day trips and outings for each place and was on hand to help - even when we ran into an issue very early in the morning which was quickly resolved.”

“We had a fantastic holiday in Split and Plitvice Lakes booked through Balikan Escapes. They were a fantastic company to deal with and tailored the holiday as requested. Their communication was excellent throughout. The transfers were punctual and the drivers very friendly and informative giving us interesting commentary during the journey. Both hotels we stayed in were excellent and despite building work at one of them which we knew about in advance we had a great stay. The builders did not impact too much on our visit as we were out most of the day. I would definitely recommend Balkan Escapes and use them again in the future.”

“Balkan Escape were brilliant. I’d tried to book a very similar holiday with a well known travel agent and received a quote for £10K. Balkan Escape came bake with a near identical holiday for less than £7K. The team were very attentive and were quick to correspond. The accommodation was exactly what we wanted, and even slightly better than expected. Transfers were smooth and easy and it was great having live updates on flights from the team. The only issue we experienced was on Korcula when we were advised to catch an Uber but it actually doesn’t operate on the island. Other than that, I have only positive things to say about Balkan Escapes and would highly recommend anyone books a holiday through them.”

“Really pleased we booked with Balkan Escapes as they explained everything and were very efficient in getting back to us with enquiries. If we could change anything it would be the company that did the transfers. First transfer the car suitcase space was for two cases and spent a while trying to get the third in. Last transfer to airport was late arriving as he said there was another hotel with same name. Again the car couldn’t accommodate 3 cases so we had to put one case on the front seat and squeeze three of us in the back. We would definitely return to the Rixos, it was lovely and great location and staff were very helpful. Although the Casa Manor Hotel was lovely - we would not choose it again because it felt like the hotel had been squeezed into an alleyway. Also, the breakfast area (restaurant) is rather small and not part of the hotel and the service was mediocre-one waiter was very moody. Last breakfast (which was at 6am) , a waiter brought a tray with 3 cups of hot water for tea, when this other rather moody waiter wanted to squeeze by him (instead of waiting). So the waiter holding the tray with the hot water chose to lift the tray up in order to let his colleague pass by. However, this meant the tray was mostly over my sister’s head whilst he allowed his colleague to pass. He would only need to wait a second or go around another table. It was very early and not busy but this was his demeanour. The roof pool area feels very cramped and didn’t see any sun umbrellas so we didn’t feel tempted to sit up their. The service at the Casa Manor was not comparable to the excellent service from the Rixos in Dubrovnik. Despite these small issues, we had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend Balkan Escapes and most definitely would not hesitate to book with you again.”

“This company were exceptional when organising our tailor-made holiday to Croatia. I dealt with Jack who was so patient and nothing was too much trouble when we changed the itinerary so many times in order to get the best route and the cheapest option too. The organisation of everything went perfectly and all we had to do was turn up for the flight, the ferries and show up at the hotels on the right days! The hotel choices were excellent too and the staff were so friendly. Prior to the holiday Jack was so helpful with any questions I had and he would respond immediately. He also made a last minute alternation to my flight seats. They specialise in organising holidays to the Balkans but I do believe they can organise trips to other countries too so I shall definitely look them up for future trips. Thank you Balkan Escapes. “My daughter and I had the most amazing holiday in Croatia in May. We spent 4 nights in Dubrovnik and three nights on Sipan island. We absolutely loved Dubrovnik - it completely exceeded our already high expectations. So glad we booked through Balkan Escapes. They took all the work out of booking the holiday and organising transfers (which went really smoothly). I wouldn't hesitate to book another holiday through them again.”

“All transfers were perfect. Villa Ani in Dubrovnik was amazing although better diections needed. Google maps don't always work when your surrounded by buildings. Couple of niggles with Lafodia hotel on Lopud. We arrived far too early for check in and had to haul our cases up the steps ourselves. The pool doesn't have any parasols, sounds a bit petty but it was 35° and so didn't use the pool at all. On arrival back in Manchester we hadn't noticed we would be arriving back at a different terminal so had a long walk back to carpark in early hrs of morning, it would have been nice if you'd highlighted it for us but we should have realised. Would definitely use Balkan Escapes again bookings and communication was excellent. Thank you. Helen Shubotham”
