“Simply excellent. Alexandar made our trip for three couples as easy as it was enjoyable. Our guides were exceptional. Mario K (five stars) guided us through Zagreb with deep knowledge and insight, Nicola (five stars) presented Plitvice Lakes like perhaps no one else can do (he grew up there), Frank (five stars) toured us through Split and Hvar with encyclopedic knowledge of history (and personality), Ivan and Bepo gave us an amazing day on the water around Split on a brand new Colnago 45. Every detail was looked after. THANK YOU!”

“My friend and I had a fabulous holiday planned by Balkan Escapes. We visited Split and 2 islands over 10 days. An island to island ferry was cancelled due to bad weather but was all sorted before I even got the message. We were delighted with the itinerary put together for us and are already planning for next year. Thank you.”

“The service was excellent, the holiday plan met expectations except the accommodation in Dubrovnik at Villa Filaus was disappointing. The building was lovely and the location was good but all we had was a room and there were no other facilities at all and the room was not serviced until we complained. Had we been aware of all of this we would have stayed elsewhere. This seems to be the result of poor communication between the Company and the Villa owners.The complaint remains unresolved. We would still recommend Balkan Escape.”

“Excellent service from Balkan Escapes from initial contact right through to the end of the holiday. Balkan Escapes work with you to design the holiday which suits the customer. Enquiries are answered very quickly and my contact responded to any questions immediately. The holiday was flawless, all transfers were on time and the hotels were lovely. If you want a stress free holiday with a reliable agent then don’t hesitate to use Balkan Escapes. I will be returning to book another holiday in the near future.”

“The service was first class. Balkan Escape designed a holiday which turned out exactly as we had hoped. Their suggestion of car rental for a few days was ideal, and not something I would have thought about doing. Hotels were all spotless, well located and comfortable. Everything, including all flights and transfers, went entirely smoothly. And the ATOL protection gave additional peace of mind when jet fuel scares arose. Croatia is a wonderfully diverse and rich country and Balkan Escape helped us glimpse something of its richness by the sea and in the hills. I'd have no hesitation recommending Balkan Escape and I'm not sure anything could have been better organised. I've arranged my own holidays, transport, accommodation and the rest for years. Having Balkan Escape do the hard work, and bring their expertise to bear (for not much greater cost) allowed us to enjoy ourselves to the full.”

“Lovely week in Milan and Como. Both hotels were excellent with wonderful staff and facilities. The arrangements were all good just a slight misunderstanding at which exit to meet our driver at Milan airport. We were at exit 1 and he was at exit 4, but it was soon resolved. All the drivers text us before our pick ups were due which was reassuring and they were all on time and very professional. A couple of tips ; pre book visits such as the Duomo in Milan to avoid long queues and The Last Supper. Apparently The Last Supper is booked up until September ! Don't book through Booking.com as they sell tickets for the day the museum is closed! Como was very busy too much busier than we expected for the beginning of June. The queues for the ferries were very long on some days and you can't book in advance and there is currently only one ticket office open. The lake is very beautiful and the towns but they are very busy. Cernobbio is well worth a visit which is less popular than the other towns. Also Colicho is beautiful. We couldn't get ferry tickets there so we caught the bus and the drive is well worth it. We then caught the rapido ferry back. We also took the bus instead of the ferry to Menaggio as the queues were very long for the ferry. It took about an hour from the bus station. Balkan Escape again provided a great itinerary for us and we will definitely book with them again. Thanks Jack.”

“We had the most wonderful holiday. Everything went smoothly and all our transfers and ferry trips were punctual and as expected. The hotel we stayed at in Hvar was beautiful and would definitely return. Our other two apartments in Korcula and Split were also of a high standard and we were met at both locations. “Recently traveled to Montenegro and Croatia with Balkan Escapes. The Forza Mare hotel in Dobrota (Kotor) was a wonderful 10 room hotel. The More hotel in Dubrovnik was not as good and our room needed some updating. All transfers were excellent and I would recommend Balkan Escapes to others.”

“"Jack and Heather from Balkan Escape were very friendly, helpful and professional in arranging our 10 day holiday in Croatia. The 'Trip Plans' app worked really well and all required documentation was sent to us exactly as planned. Airport and Ferry transfers were seamless; each aspect of travel between 3 destinations had been covered. We were given several options for hotels and every one selected via their advice was excellent - 5 star staff who couldn't do enough for you and exceptional food. Various trips/activities were suggested and again the choice offered was spot on. We would have no hesitation in recommending Balkan Escape for any future holiday in the Balkan/Italy regions.
