“Superb product”

“I have had Rowlan turf from AWBS before and it is good, but I collected it myself last time. This time I asked for delivery. Although I was told a day for delivery, when I asked for an approximate time I got a very poor and abrupt response and told they never give out a time "we are builders merchants not couriers". Politeness would have been nice, even if they could not let me know of a time. Stayed in all day only for it to arrive at 4:30 from a courteous driver, thankfully. AWBS have two offices close by - do NOT deal with the Oxford office. Yarnton is much more pleasant and personable.”

“Was due a delivery on Tuesday of 4 bulk bags 20mm shingle they actually dropped them at the billing address blocking a disabled access overnight I called them several times after I found out their mistake and yarnton office seem to forgot how to use pick up a phone in the end I had to wait until Wednesday morning and contact Oxford office to resolve the issue Collected them back on the Wednesday afternoon but took till Friday to get them to the correct address 10 miles away”

“We ordered wrong size shingle but the delivery chap straight away said he would take it back and change for correct size, no fuss. Later we were contacted and told when it would be delivered. Altogether a very efficient service but more than that we were treated with respect. I would recommend to everyone.”

“Great. Had to return 3 posts, my error, they were great about it. One really helpful guy took them out if my car, then helped fit in 3 x 6ft posts. Many would have not been bothered but he went the extra mile. Meant a lot.”

“Very aggressive response when I asked about a delivery. Customer service skills non existent. If they are having a bad day, don’t take it out on the customers who pay your salary and keep your business going. Not the first time. I would go elsewhere if I could find products elsewhere.”

“Used AWBS Oxford for the last 15 years . But after the way I spoken to Today by I was informed was the owner . We ordered turf went to collect and was given the wrong ticket . I returned to the offfice a lady was outside looking at the display of stone . So I walked in to try and get the correct ticket ( your mistake not mine ) I was then told in a abrupt manner To leave the office as the lady was waiting. In front of other members of staff. Have you never been on a customer service course you are RUDE Don’t care if you are the owner or not get some manners. We will not be using AWBS every ag”
