“The Calypso double breastpump is an great product and has helped us massively in being able to feed our newborn. The sole reason for a "Good" rather than a "Very Good" rating, was that the first delivered pump had an intermittent fault. Ardo were very helpful and prompt in couriering out a replacement unit however. Excellent product and excellent customer service.”

“Quick delivery. The only issue I have is that I was told the package would arrive before 2pm but it ended up being around 6:30pm”

“Brilliant quiet well built pump, kindly and efficient customer services. The only development I would like to see is on the expressed baby milk delivery end of the process. The bottles supplied with the kit are small and old fashioned and do not come with their own teats. I would like to see Ardo develop their own modern bottle/teat combinations that mimic the performance of a mother's breast, especially for when baby is at the 0+ stage of feeding and life. I spent a great deal of time trying to find a teat that would.. a.) fit directly to the Ardo bottles, to avoid decanting/double handling/washing up - these are old style "standard" 25mm diameter neck size, and of greatest importance to my baby.. b.) slow enough to make him work as he does on the breast, instead of monstering 100ml in one go then burping half of it back up again! We are on our fifth bottle/teat combo in as many weeks, and are currently having very good results with the Haberman Suckle Feeder. For now I will pass over in silence concerning the other four "slow flow" teat designs, unless you would like to get back to me on this. I have a background in design and engineering, and baby is not inclined to colic, and hopefully never will be.”

Hi John, thanks for your review – the reason we don’t supply teats is because we are WHO (World Health Organisation) Code compliant. The code states that teats and feeding bottles may have a negative effect on the duration of breast feeding. The bottles supplied are made to allow for a standard neck teat which can be purchased from most supermarkets and pharmacists.

“This pump is easy to set up and a good compact size. It is easy to adjust the settings. I have only had it a week but the parts seem robust. I was attracted to the fact it is a closed system as I felt this was hygienic. It would be good if it came with a wider range of size fittings.”

“Excellent pump for the price. I used a hospital grade pump whilst my baby was in nicu and this one is just as good. Just marked down one star as does not work with batteries..?! But would recommend this pump to anyone.”

“So far I'm very happy with this pump. It is nice and quiet, comes with a range of different sized shields and is really quite affordable. I do prefer the way that the Medela pumps have the automatic different setting for the first couple of minutes so you don't need to mess around with the dials. However, given this is a lot cheaper it's a minor thing to put up with.”

“The double breast pump I ordered works very well and was half the price of a leading competitor. I also ordered extra breast funnels but it was not clear from the website that I woukd only get one rather than a pair, hence only 4 stars.”

“I am currently using the Ardo carum pump and have used the Medela hospital grade double pump in the past. The machines are comparable and the Ardo a Carum is effective and helps me express milk when other electric and hand pumps have failed. The system is straight forward to use and isn't too complicated. The only reason why I have given it 4 and not 5 stars is because it is a bit noisy. I keep it by my bed to express at night and find the noise of the pump very annoying.”

“The pump was excellent and much better than a high street shop one. It was quiet and I had more control over the settings. The delivery didn't arrive when arranged which was frustrating but it was delivered the next day.”
