Hi Jamie, Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that you've had a disappointing experience. We'd really like the opportunity to understand what's happened and help you with your expressing journey. From your review alone, we're unable to identify the product or the issue you're experiencing, and there are a number of factors that can affect milk expression. Our team is always happy to talk through pump setting, flange fitting, expressing techniques, and any product questions to help you get the best possible experience. Please give our customer service team a call on 01823 336362 or email info@ardomedical.co.uk with you order details, and we'll do everything we can to help. We look forward to hearing from you. The Ardo Medical Team

The silicon inserts I bought are still too big and the customer service didn’t let me to return to change to smaller ones.

Hi Anissa, these products are personal items and are therefore not able to be returned once they are opened. We are sad to see you felt this warranted a 1 star review. Our Customer Service team work hard to ensure great service is offered so we are sorry to see this.

It does not help. I thought it would make expressing easier but I struggle every time I use it.

I ordered my breast pump equipment on the 2nd of January exactly 2weeks ago yet I am still yet to receive my cool bag/bottles/parts &adapter after spending over £60 I am very disappointed &disheartened that the 2-4 working days have not been adhered to. I have to express to top my daughter up every 3hours who is only 1 month old tomorrow 17/1/25. I'm very worried that my milk supply is dropping due to relying on buying batteries &I can't pump to freeze due to suspecting she has allergies &I had no response to my email a few days ago regarding not receiving my equipment. Please sort it out.

Purchased flanges for my Calypso after chatting with customer services. Unfortunately the flanges don't really work with th pump and move around too much so you lose the seal and nipples aren't properly pulled into th flange as a result.

Absolute rubbish. Brought due to it being recommended at a baby show. Brought the double set. Started having issues with the first one I had after 2 months use. Customer service sent out a new one and having the same issues now. Clearly a design fault. Makes a grating sound which when your trying to do daily tasks is frustrating. First time mum, trying to continue to express milk and this pump has completely put me off. As well as this it was expensive and I personally wouldn’t buy again and would go for a different brand

Rented a breast pump which got delivered on the 24th of December. When switched on it displayed an error message straight away and would not work. Ardo shut over the festive period for 10 days with no way to discuss error or arrange a replacement which is not ideal when I have a premature baby who is unable to breastfeed and relying on this breast milk. Once reopen, did not answer phone at all. Issue remains unresolved.

The lip valve (white part) tore after only 4 months use meaning suction is now gone and can’t pump. Contacted the manufacturer who said this is standard, they only last few months, and that I need to purchase replacement parts costing (£11 for single plus £5 p&p)! It is absolutely ridiculous that after purchasing such an expensive pump I should be spending another £15-20 every few months replacing parts.

Hi, we are sorry to hear you are disappointed, however, we include two spare valves in your pumpsets, so that is 4 lip valves in total we provide? From your image it looks like they have been pulled off via the middle part, if you look at our instructions it clearly states to take them off by the thick side to prevent this from happening, that is what our customer team meant not that they don't last.

The review system is rubbish as you can't tell which reviews are relevant for which product. I want to look at the reviews for a certain product and not the entire website.

Hi Giles, sorry to hear that you think that but setting up a review site for every product is unfortunately too costly. Most reviewers usually state the product they are referring to in the first few sentences that they review. Is there a particular product we can help with you?

Loved the pump when it actually worked, which was not often. Had the same problem three times (with three machines) where the vacuum on the pump machine wouldn’t turn up. Really disappointing as a new mum I felt I wasn’t able to feed my little boy properly, I’ve been feeding breast and expressing as he’s jaundice and unfortunately had to rely on formula to supplement him. Could not fault the customer services, answered promptly and replaced the machine but i question whether I’m constantly being sent a refurbished machine as the same problem keeps happening. It works fine for a couple of week and out of the blue the vacuum won’t turn up meaning no milk. Waste of money, time and mental health.

Hi, I used the wire yesterday for the first time leaving the beach and it broke. I was so disappointed as I was relying on that working on the way home to express. Really unsatisfactory product and got no use out of this.

No better than a standard pump yet FAR more pricey. I wouldn't bother again. No recompense for poor performance.

We are sorry that you are disappointed with the pump, however, this is a medical device, a hospital grade breastpump which is used in NHS hospitals across the UK. Therefore if the performance was poor, as you state, it would not be allowed in the hospitals. This breast pump is a high-value item and that is why it is available for rental so that we can make the costs affordable for parents. It is frustrating that you chose this forum to post a negative review rather than contact us in the 2 months you were using it to get any help or advice.

Unfortunately pump was useless, after reading many reviews I had high expectations. Poor suctioning and volume, even after increasing the settings. Little to almost none breast milk extraction.

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the Calypso. The pump is NHS approved, won numerous awards, and we sell 000's so this would not be possible if it was useless. It sounds like there was something wrong with the operation or components, however, I cannot find on the system that you contacted us for help? You can ring, email, use live chat on the website, and we offer online consultations where we would have been very happy to help rather than read this on a forum?

Awful experience. They charge you more money instead of picking up the pumps once rental is finished. I don't recommend this company.

This is very unfair to post this review as it clearly states on the website where you ordered the pump, plus the hire agreement, and there is also an 'Important Information' sheet which is sent with the pump informing you that it is your responsibility to let us know when you want the pump collected. It states - Returning the Breastpump It is the hirer’s responsibility to arrange collection of the pump and terminate the hire. Contact us at least 2 working days prior to the end of the hire period, the date is specified on each invoice. Collections take place Monday to Friday within the hours of 9am -5pm.

Not the smallest in the market. It didn't work for me at all because I need an even smaller size.

Hi Zainab, we are sorry to hear you were unhappy, however we do not claim to be the smallest in the market? We do include 3 of the most popular size breast shells with the Calypso, which you would not find with most other breastpump suppliers. There are five sizes available but it would not be cost-effective or economic to provide all of these with every pump.

Had to stop using it as just made me massively engorged and sore. Shame as could have done without wasting £139 just after having a premature baby.

Hi Samantha, we are sorry to read your review. We cannot, however, find on our customer service system that you contacted us to discuss the issues. The order for the pump is also not on our system, only a pair the 22 inserts? If you would like to give us a call we would be happy to help resolve the issues.

Pump didn’t arrive as delivery people failed to ring the doorbell. Asked for a refund which I still haven’t received and informed I would be charged for the failed delivery.

Hi Dina, we are sorry you are disappointed with the service. The courier would not have come to your home without ringing the bell as they are paid on deliveries. They attempted to deliver 3 times and left card notifications that they had been. We refunded the pump rental money but not the courier costs as a gesture of goodwill.

My Ardo pump wasn’t working almost brand new, had it fixed but when it returned the suction wasn’t working. My twin babies were premature and I couldn’t wait a second time with no pump so introduced formula. The suction was so bad it was discouraging trying to use my pump. It’s basically ruined my breastfeeding experience and now I’ve given up. Wouldn’t recommend this company’s products. Still so upset about it all.
