“Had email from courier to say there was a problem. Contacted approved food they said they would look into it. Turns out courier had smashed some items. Approved food and courier agreed to repackage and send on. I didn't like this option so asked them to consider another. Approved food then agreed to send the order afresh in new separate package and to arrange with the courier for the initially sent items to be returned. All this was done via the very efficient customer services at approved food easy to contact very helpful.”

“"I love shopping at approved food! Iv been shopping with them for several years now and never had any problems. It's great as you also get to try lots of new things that you wouldn't normally have brought as too expensive. Highly recommend the lucky boxes too they are great (iv added a picture of what I received in my lucky box minus the crisps which were 1p) Shipping has also got quicker over the years even better :) "”

“A great source of both necessities and treats at a very reasonable price. I've been a customer for several years now and AF have gone from strength to strength. In recent times I've noticed that there are more expensive, speciality items that, whilst cheaper, are still out of my price range (like £50 wine down to £35). But I still end up ordering every 4-8 weeks, so it can't be that bad!”

“The service approved foods offers is excellent. I am always pleased with the food and the range of products on offer. I got a lucky box for the first time this time and I loved it. Their website has been tricky to navigate but seems to have improved a bit recently. The let down (and reason for three stars only) is their delivery service. I have never had a delivery run smoothly and have ended up emailing customer services every time and having a long wait for products. I paid extra for "Rush my order" this time. First thing on Monday. I eventually collected it at 10am on Friday. For a Sheffield to Liverpool journey, I wouldn't call that rushed. Also they repeatedly leave the parcel with a neighbour when I have specifically requested that they don't do that. Approved foods have a very fatalistic "we can't do anything about delivery" approach but I don't feel that's really good enough. A great idea, generally well run company, great products... Don't let a delivery company let you down!”
