“First time using Approved foods. An excellent selection in the £1 lucky box, definitely get your monies worth. Only thing that went in the bin was the mayonnaise as it was over 18 months out of date, not fussy about out of date stuff, but not with eggs. The rest of my selection was excellent though. The Ferrero Rocher for£2 was a year out of date, but honestly couldn't tell the difference,same with the rest of my order. Fantastic value and fast delivery. Loose a star though as I live in the Highlands. The £9 delivery takes a big chunk of your savings, when the rest of the country get it for £3. There are plenty of couriers that deliver up here at no extra cost on the understanding that it will take longer. Puts me off a little from ordering. Apart from that it's a great idea, too much waste in the world that's perfectly edible.”

“My first order and some items were missing. This Company was on the ball and immediately sent replacement items which I got the next day ... FAB customer service. Quality brand goods at lower prices.”

“Short dated or out dated food and drink, I do not think the prices are keen enough for most of the food and alcohol if it’s out of date surely should be at leat 50% off in stead of the few pence they take off”

“Some very good savings and I tried new products. There was a fairly limited range of products (with lots and lots of chocolates!). I think it is a case of keep looking as they will vary depending on what is available. Great that a common sense approach is being taken to "Best Before" dates and saving the needless waste of food.”

“I’ve been purchasing from here for nearly a year. It’s fantastic but in my last two orders had abit of an issue as the walkers crisp packets were open so they went soft had to throw away. It was the multi pack I had bought. Another thing is they had to loads of bags of bacon bites and wine gums which I don’t eat as it has pork. So was abit disappointed”

“Order arrived quickly. One item was out of stock and refunded - to my next order. Had it been for more than a few pounds, I would have asked for it to go back on my card, but I'm sure I'll be using them again.”

“Most of the stuff was fine, although the UHT milk cartons were off. The lack of communication was a concern (delivery arrived hours after the scheduled time) as I left as message ( answerphone only) and still nobody has phoned back The rest of the products were fine”

“excellent service delivered real quickly had discontinued items in stock, why they discontinued Morris hair treatment cleansing oil I will never know. Still keep up the good work guys.”

“I THINK THE PRICES ARE FAIR SOME ARE THE SAME AS THE SHOPS , BUT IF YOU LOOK YOU CAN GET A BARGING . FEEBSITE VERY POOR THOUGH , ALWAYS ISSUES WITH IT .”

“First time using the store. The order got stuck after placement, which required customer support intervention, but all went well after that. One item arrived damaged (the coffee beans bag was ripped and some beans were in the box). But overall impressed with the packaging and anything fragile was bubble-wrapped.”

“Approved Food offers a large range of products which are mostly in edible condition. The lucky dips are very welcome surprises. I had a nasty surprise when I ordered a huge pack of shortbread which had gone off. Their smell and taste was awful and very disappointing and the pack had to put in the dustbin.”
