“I was requiring a VERY quick turn around in my order as I was seeking to please a new school that I was about to start working in as a peripatetic teacher. Ackerman's were brilliant. Even though they did not have what I wanted in stock, they moved Heaven and Earth to get it to me in time. They sent 2 very reassuring e. mails and I felt that they really CARED! “My wife wished to borrow my daughter's Yamaha 8310Z trumpet to use in a play she is in but unfortunately this has not been played for quite some time (daughter plays cello mainly) and the valves were firmly stuck! I wanted to get the proper oil for this quite expensive trumpet and Ackerman provided the correct oil and incredibly quickly. This was just as well as my wife really plays the saxophone and it took a good few days for her ability to make a noise that sounded acceptable to develop. Thank you Ackerman!”

“Overall I’m happy with Ackerman’s service although had a few minor issues. Their packaging although sufficient to protect the contents was just paper and bubblewrap, the paper was ripped in multiple places on arrival and the amount of tape and babble wrap made it difficult to recycle what I could. In addition I ordered some Yamaha slide oil, from the website it was the old style bottle which was the reason I went to Ackerman’s as I preferred that style, unfortunately it was the new style that arrived. There was no explanation to say this is what had been done, so a little irritating!”
