“An easy and helpful company to order from (and their shops are great). I ordered a book of piano music on a Tuesday afternoon and it arrived on Wednesday morning. It is so much better dealing with a small company that knows about music, than with a megacompany (no names, but you know who I mean) that knows only about making money, not music. If I ever need music scores I order from Ackerman Music.”

“Very fast delivery! There are no shops selling woodwinds very near hence ordering the instrument I had tried elsewhere months ago, this was a good price and fast delivery. Do not much like mouthpiece but this is a very personal thing. Otherwise clarinet is exactly what I needed to replace very old beginner instrument”

“I ordered a pack of 10 Vandoren Rue Lepic Clarinet Reeds. When they arrived they were not in a Vandoren Box but loosely put into a small made up cardboard box. I telephoned as this is not satisfactory as they could be any odd reeds and as they were loose could have been damaged although Rue Lepic are individually wrapped. The response I got was not at all helpful. I was informed that the information was on the website but I still have not seen it. The customer service was poor in response and I am not happy that I have not had new reeds from a sealed box and the information is not clearly displayed or I would not have purchased them.”

Hi there, Here is what we have written on our website - this would have been on the page where you ordered the reeds. Postage In order to keep your reed prices as cheap as possible, we re-package Vandoren reeds to fit the "large letter" postal size. Each reed is still individually sealed in its original packaging but you won’t receive an original sealed outer box. If you wish your reeds to come in the original sealed box (£2 surcharge), please phone one of our shops on 0333 344 0070. Orders of 2 or more boxes will be sent sealed in their original outer boxes. We have been doing this for years now so we can keep our postage free for customers. I hope this is helpful. Kind regards
