1st choice were initally excellent when setting up our insurance. I've tried to contact them at least 3 time via email over the last month to try to clarify some details on my policy and ask if things could be added but had no response. The business is so busy and I work full time as well so I hardly get time for admin as it is and they are making it so difficult to get answers to simple questions. Please reply to my emails.

Gave my details in the quote section, they where quickly to call me back. But when I was told that I would receive a quote via email. I've yet to receive any and it's been over 12hrs. I've never known anyone to take forever to just send a quote via email. It's a good job I didn't just rely on 1st choice Insurance for a quote. Or I wouldn't be starting work tomorrow. It's a good job I looked on other websites. I feel like I have been let down by this company.

First contacted this Company on the 1st March re a Motor Traders Policy. After chasing three times for any response, finally heard today, 14th March, they cannot quote for us apparently. Very strange as we already have quotes from another Company. Very poor service from your staff member who maybe should have informed us of this before now, and with our renewal imminent has left us very short of time.

They don’t know what they are doing they take your money then spend the next 4 weeks pestering you for details and when you send the details they loose them very poor service they just don’t know what there doing

Paid my annual insurance fully. Sent all the documents required, in the format they'd asked for, and on time, and accurately. 1 month later they emailed me randomly to say that they made some "corrections" (without telling me exactly what those corrections were), and not only increased by my premium by 20%, but also charged me 50 pounds admin fee. Had I known they were going to do that, I would have gone with another company. If you are between two companies, absolutely prefer the other one. You've been warned.

From time to time, we get confused with a car insurance company that also has '1st' in its name. I apologise if you are a client and I have not been able to locate your account. I have just spent an extremely frustrating 60 minutes waiting to get through to yourselves. It was like playing a giant snakes and ladders game where the snakes were on nearly every square! I was told on at least 27 occasions I was first in line only to then be told I was number 6/8 in the queue. I even got as far as the phone ringing three times to again be told I was back down the queue. My phone then ran out of battery. I also tried live conversation but that has been no better. I only wanted to see if I could add my daughter onto my car insurance as we are going a way for a few days tomorrow and wanted to include her on the insurance. Since you finish at 5pm that is now highly unlikely. You may have an average 4.8 out of 5 from customers but your communication system is far from adequate!

I was very surprised to hear this because we are very good at answering the phones, and customer service always comes first. I have been trying to find your details to give you a call but you don't appear on our system. Are you sure you are a 1st Choice Insurance customer? We have a similar name to a well know car insurance company, and sometimes get confused with them that's all. We don't offer car insurance - we have very few private car policies. The service last year when we got the insurance was good. However, we have booked with another company and are urgently requriing proof of no claims for the new insurers. Avoid this company at all costs Unscrupulous swindlers who try to wring more money out of whenever they can by saying a couple of weeks in , that you're underinsured. To cancel the policy costs you an Armand a leg .Go elsewhere.

Was all good at first then it started send us this doc send us that doc then again send again this is because someone couldn’t scroll down and look that they had already been sent. But then charge you an admin fee for looking at documents they asked for. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR GO WORH SOMEONE ELSE EVEN IF THE CHARGE MORE YOU WILL BE BETER OFF IN THE LONG RUN.

My brother was involved in an accident with my car.He had his personal car insurance which allowed him to drive any car but my insurance company is so irresponsible that they forwarded only vehicle claim to my brother’s insurance and kept the personal injury claim on my name and didn’t issue the Ncd for 4 months until I made a complaint to financial ombudsman. I contacted them numerous times but they didn’t bother until the ombudsman intervened I think they didn’t do it so they can put the premium up so the company was making mistake intentionally to charge me . Absolute disgrace as an insurance provider

Terrible experience. Cancelled my insurance policy. Was made aware that the whole family had Covid, and unfortunately my father in law passed away from it. I was waiting for proof of no claims bonus from previous company. No discretion was offered at a time like this. Death certificate etc were offered as proof. Then they proceeded to charge us more than double the price of the original policy. Ridiculous and terrible customer service. Will never use again, and will NOT be recommending them

I’m sorry very bad ecoeriance with first choice insurance service not quick enghf and also they said when they sell the policy covered all i asked them after when i start to claim they said not covered is this disappointed i’m not happy with the insurence

Had to cancel insurance due to being sold a faulty van and sent it back to seller.. I was charged around £700 for 3 weeks insurance which I feel in some cases people pay way less than that for a whole year.. I was told this was due to set up fees but how can that be if people pay way less than 700 for insurance for a year with the set up fees etc.. I do feel ripped off to be honest. On a good note I have been dealing with Mandy Lanning who is a massive credit to your company.. shes helped me with my claim and was very understanding with my issues and even helped in her own time and picked up my phone call when she should of been heading home from a long days work so thank u mandy I cant thank u enough :) A++++++ service from mandy but unfortunately with the amount I've been charged I cannot recommend this company for insurance
