Title: Munar Sobrasada Sausage Product Type: Food Description: Sobrasada is a traditional soft, cured sausage from Mallorca. Made with ground pork, paprika, salt, and other spices, it has been produced by Embutidos Munar for over 70 years. This authentic sobrasada is now available in the UK. Starting with premium quality free-range pork, the sausage is infused with a little sea salt and sun-dried paprika from Tap de Corti in Mallorca. Due to the balmy semi-tropical climate, islanders on Mallorca and Menorca are unable to fully dry-cure their meat. Instead, they preserve it by mixing it with a local type of paprika and age it for a short time. The result is sobrasada, a finely ground soft pork sausage of excellent quality. Its unique soft-spreadable texture makes it ideal for cooking or as a spread. Approximately 2.5 inches thick.

“Está buenísima. I don´t even know how to translate what sobrasada is, but I don´t think there is anything better than spreading this on top of a warm baguette, with cheese, serrano ham and oregano.”

“I first had Sobrasada spread on toast with poached eggs on top. An unusual take on sausage and eggs for breakfast! It was so delicious that I ordered some Munar Sorasada sauage from Basco. It needed to be lightly cooked first , so not spread from the packet! It did not disappoint and I will be ordering more of this and trying different recipes.”
