My order RE100108207 was delivered on December 2nd promptly. The iberico pork loin I received had labels read: "Lomo De cebo 50% Raza Iberica", where "50% raza Iberica" means 50% iberian breed in Spanish. This contridicted the product information on Basco website where ingredient is 100% iberian. I emailed customer service about my concern. I received same day reply two times. 1st email asked me to check the product weight. 2nd email expalined the difference between de cebo and de balleta. I then wrote my thrid email asking about the same question titled "discrepency between the advertisement and actual product". There was no reply to this email since one week ago. Furthermore, I have noticed that the wording on your website has recently been updated from “100% Iberian” to “100% pork (Ibérian) – see pack for crossbreed %.” While I understand updates may occur, this revision appears to be a result of my inquiry, and it seems that no action was taken to address the original misrepresentation of the product at the time of purchase. I believe my complaint deserves to be treated seriously, and it seems I would never get any clear explanation regarding the product discrepency and dismissiveness.

The meat is good meat as always. The delivery was on time and packaging was good. My disappointment was Basco's response to a problem. I weighed the meat in sealed plastic and my home scales registered 1.84kg including teh packaging for a claimmed 2kg joint. The joint cost £72. My scales could be incorrect but I did measure 2 litres (2kg) water and found the scales may be slightly over-reading. For information I was told weights include packaging and if on the web site you 'read more' you will find that weights can have a 'slight variation'. An appology was only given when requested by me, for me slight (maybe 8-10%) is not slight and packaging is not normally included in weight. A calculation was mde to refund approx £5 and an offer of a £15 voucher instead. Delivery charges makes a voucher worthless for me. It literally leaves a bad taste and disappointment since I am unlikely to buy more.

If I can address the discrepancy of the pork being incorrectly weighed at source, we identified there was a small batch affected and quarantined accordingly, however, I am sorry that you were one of the clients affected with you being £4.96 out of pocket and in good faith my team gave you £15 as a gesture of goodwill. All arrived perfectly frozen even though we were a day late travelling to central Scotland to collect our very carefully assembled parcel. Can't wait to try it all; it looks wonderful. Great communication and help with enquiries. Thank you Basco.

Its the first time ive used Basco and what a great find. We love spanish food and miss it when we are in the UK. These guys have helped loads. Amazing quality proper spanish products. Happy Days....

Order did not arrive when scheduled (not Basco's fault) so Jo sent out a replacement order for next day delivery, which arrived OK. great customer service and the croquettas were nice too!

The steak was meant to be amazing and the price was high. It was very disappointing. Tough and with an overpowering smoked taste. I can get better from Tesco. Not buying again.

Wasn’t sure if I should cook the croquettes I bought from frozen or not, rang few times to no avail, tried lots of times on your Chat link , didn’t happen , as a result the 30 croquettes I bought were binned , they tasted delicious annoyingly but couldn’t serve them at the party
