“Having just reviewed the Cotswold Crunch I have to say the Eight Grain is just as good, I use this as is as opposed to blending, as it is a bit lighter, but I have also added Red Malt Flour to it and it always turns out excellent
with great rise and texture and I highly recommend all Matthews flours. The photo is of the bread I made with 20g Red Malt added.”
“This flour is good for adding to wholemeal flour as a mix because it's basically a white flour. I like to add sunflour seeds and rye etc to wholemeal loaves so using this as half and half with a good wholemeal flour is a convenient way to do that and produces a really good loaf that makes marvellous toast!”
