“I have been having guitar lessons with Simone. I am a complete beginner and I'm so pleased with how the lessons are going and how quickly i'm learning. The company were very friendly and helpful when I called up to book in my lessons and I'm really enjoying the extra videos and clips that help me with my home practice.”

“I asked Gonsalo to teach my 6 year old son guitar to get him started playing, and he did a fantastic job in getting him to learn the basics at a suitable pace. Needless to say Gonsalo is an amazing and very talented guitarist himself, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a competent teacher. 10/10.”

“It has been a few years since I last played the guitar and I needed some lessons to refresh and try and improve my technique. Before deciding on whether or not to book a face-to-face lesson, I thought that I would try the on-line lessons. I used the on-line lessons from Dan and found them to be extremely useful, very easy to follow and they have already helped me enormously. The lessons are very well constructed and Dan explains things in a very simple and understandable way. Fantastic.”

“I am very impressed by Dimi's musical knowledge ranging from classical to jazz to rock and blues. Apart from being a teacher he also inspires me with the high level he is on and I wish to be at one day. Not just is he a brilliant guitarist, but also he has a very unique way of teaching, understanding my difficulties and always figures the right approach to explaining and showing new material. I am very excited to continue my guitar journey with Dimi.”

“My son has been having lessons with Dan at YGA for four months and I can honestly say he is already playing with confidence, which I know will only improve as he continues to learn. Dan is an extremely proficient and highly motivating teacher who makes learning the guitar fun. I cannot recommend him enough. My son comes away feeling accomplished, encouraged and excited.”

“I had Ollie as a tutor and he was brilliant. He was great a deconstructing songs to make it easier to learn. He also supplied me lots cool exercises that improved my playing in strides. Because of his help my playing began to feel easier and that gave me more room to enjoy what I was doing. Highly recommend him or any of the tutors there.”

“Been practicing with my tutor for a few months now. He is pretty awesome. He takes his time to help me learn at my own pace, whilst each week challenging me. He lets me choose the music I want to learn, but at the same time has introduced me to blues, which I now love. I look forward to each weeks session!!! Thank you for being so patient!!! Charlene”

“Simone is a great tutor. He's always calm and patient and keeps me motivated. Even if i don't have too much time to practice outside class, he gives me helpfull instructions on how to make my learning easier and the things i need to insist on. The system is also very helpful, as i have all the notes Simone is sending me saved in my account and i can always come back to any of it. The great thing is that Your Guitar Academy is opened to suggestions and is constantly improving.”

It's excellent that Simone gives you practicing tips based around your busy schedule :) We of course have a lot of students who are busy and can only squeeze in guitar practice at certain times, but it's not a sprint, it's a marathon and little by little you will definitely get there! Keep having fun!

“I've just completed the free beginners course and was really impressed, Dan is great teacher that has clearly been experimenting for years about how to teach students how to progress at the best rate and preventing or getting rid of bad habits. I love the way that he gets you practising different areas of the guitar (base lines, power chords, strumming etc) at the same time, which means you are confident to play entire songs (that actually sound alright) right from the beginning and the whole time you are improving in all areas. The format is great- everything is there at your finger tips- interactive tabs, chord diagrams, backing tracks etc and the course structure is really well organised you don't have to think about what you should concentrate on next you just move onto the next lesson. I've just signed up for the yearly subscription as its a great deal and i'll know this will motivate me to practise even more.”

“Simone is the epitome of a fantastic guitar tutor. He is friendly, encouraging and professional. In my taster lesson he listened to what I wanted to achieve and has been helping me on that journey tirelessly since. He is so patient, I don't know how he does it! What's more he's fun - when we're working on something together he's not shy to put something new in and push me with some more advance skills. I always leave my lesson rewarded and excited about the next weeks! The guitar academy material online is in-depth, useful and a great way to track my progress. I can dip in and out when I want, with some fantastic references points and work sheets. I'm looking forward to developing and continuing to use the service.”
