“Endeavoured to get insurance for my car on a Sunday so that my cover could start next day. Was given reference number by "compare the market" and was directed to Vavista website.
Entered the required details but for some unknown reason my bank details were rejected. The web site invited me to try again but every time I did the site simply told me that "session over".
I tried all ways to start a new "session".
On the Monday I made a phone call to Vavista and was told to try again and revisit web site or the insurance would be £20 more.On three occasions these phone calls were made and three times the web site informed me "session over" before even being given the opportunity to enter my bank details.
Ultimately I purchased the insurance by phone by giving the same reference number that I should have been able to use on-line. That cost me £20 more.
I must stress however that the staff who I dealt with on-line were all very friendly and courteous, and did inform that there would be the extra charge.
However the website was not allowing me to do this so I did purchase my insurance over the phone.”

“Misused my data, put my name against a claim on the national database. Failed to contact me when requested. Multiple emails and three complaints - they did not respond.
Their mishandling of my personal data has cost £600 with my insurer.
They can't be trusted to handle your data safely. They are unresponsive to requests for help and complaints.
Avoid at all costs.”

“When I am in holiday (abroad) They have renewed my policiy without my permission. When I turned back to the UK again, I couldn't reach them to cancel my policy. I have found another offer very very cheaper than Vavista but they don't have any cancellation request button in customer account profile (website). I am not satisfied and I don't offer for anyone.”

“Bad customer service, money driven greedy company, took my money without providing the service. The customer is expected to do everything themselves however, the site is not intuitive and when asking the call handler for assistance they are only willing to help for a fee (£50)”

Tried to speak someone several times and each time told someone will call back and they never do , DO NOT get car insurance with them, I will continue to write honest reviews on every site I can while I cannot speak to advisor , been trying for weeks to talk to someone to be told that they having technical issues , wish I had read reviews first before I got insurance”

“terrible company, they are very good and very fast about collecting money But when it comes to work ( just to do what every single insurance company have to ) they will not even answer to your call, and when they answer feels like you are talking to wall, they don't want listen what is true because it's not good for them, not profitable. Like I said they very good only when it comes to collect money from you.
I'm horrified, how can you be so irresponsible. I am going to court to complain about them.”

“I got a new job which gave me a company car to use excluding perosonal usage. I phoned up vavista to make the ammendments and I also added my pass plus certificate onto my premium. When checking quotes online I was getting a lot lower prices than what I am currently paying... When discussing this with the agent on the phone and making my ammendments, instead of my policy going down as I am using my car less and have the additional driving course added onto it, the policy went upwards instead. I was told I could cancel the policy and redo a new one however that will have a seperate charge of £220 to do so. So now I am stuck paying more money for a car I use a lot less which makes absaloutely no sense to me what so ever. the agent was 0 help and from her tone of voice I could tell she didnt really care or offer me much advice or even help with this matter. I would not recommend this insurance company to anybody, they just want your money and have 0 care when it comes to dealing with their customers. I even told the agent on the phone I was going to leave negative reviews of the company online, and she shrugged it off, so they clearly do not care for the company they work for neither. if I could give them part of the 1 star I gave them I would!!!”

“Don't use this company
There scammed me on my deposit.
Told them about my iva
Give them information on my driving licence
Told them couldn't find my no claims bonus so thay cancelled my insurance and charged me 75 pounds admin 75 pounds cancellation and I lost all my deposit.
When I was on the phone with them they where proper rood saying your folt it's cancelled I asked to speak to management se kept on saying your folt not a nice company”
