Item was advertised with free delivery but was charged £12.00 Also i never received any tracking details until i asked for them.

The product was correct and as described, but I was a little taken aback with the total lack of official packaging, the item just turned up in a plain cardboard box, this tool is a xmas present for my son and I somehow expected it to turn up in a Makita box.

the BESSEY poles and attachments are seriously good! there is one major problem however, ToolStore UK are completely out of stock, and i have been trying for nearly 2 weeks to see if they have come back into stock without luck, poor show!!! so 5 stars for the product, -2 for poor stock handling

Item ordered was delivered on time and does work but was just in bubble wrap rather than a matika branded box. Found this odd and wondered if I received an ex display item rather than new which is what I thought I'd paid for.

Great choice of tools and accessories, all at great prices. Spent an hour browsing then filled my basket with goods in excess of £55 expecting free delivery as advertised. Reached the final checkout stage to find a £10.49+VAT addition for delivery? On further investigation it appears free delivery from ToolStore is only possible if you live in England or Wales. My home is 260 miles north of the Wigan store in Argyll and 100 miles closer than Penzance in Cornwall, England. I did place my order and our local DPD / DHL driver John delivered my parcel, well packaged, a few days later. I will not be placing any furthers orders with ToolStore until the misleading free "UK" delivery is removed, or, includes postcodes north of the border.

Good morning Gary, Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologise that you found our delivery options to be unclear. We strive to make our delivery charges as transparent as possible on our website, both through a dedicated delivery information page and during the checkout process before you finalize your order. Unfortunately, we are unable to list every postcode on our main page due to the extensive number of exceptions. To address this, we use an asterisk next to the 'Free UK delivery' button at the top of our website to indicate that specific criteria apply. We use DPD as our sole courier, and their service charges are determined by postcode. Your postcode, specifically, is classified as a Highlands area, which incurs a premium charge from DPD. Their carriage criteria are based on factors such as distance, weight, and value. We do not profit from these carriage charges, and due to our competitive pricing and tight margins, we are unable to absorb these specific costs without incurring losses. We are always looking at alternative courier options, but for now and due to the cost of the products we sell, the traceability and insurance we receive from DPD is second to none. I have not used the product yet but it appears to be sound and in its original box. The DPD driver who delivered the product was a cretinous moron. Despite being left instructions to leave product on a small porch at my front door He dumped the product, a box weighing 17.5 kgs on a 77 yr old neighbour who has suffered two heart attacks in the past year. He had no authority to leave this delivery with a neighbour. The product as far as I can tell is fine the delivery was not.

Regarding your experience with DPD's delivery service, they offer a variety of delivery options for customers. For instance, you can choose to have your parcel delivered to a pickup shop, left with a neighbour, or placed in a safe location if you are not going to be home. These options can be authorised through your tracking email or the DPD app. The option to leave the parcel with a neighbour is a standard feature provided by most couriers if the recipient is unavailable. While the neighbour isn't required to accept the parcel, DPD is permitted to attempt delivery to them when the recipient is not at home, as stated in our terms and conditions. Positive: - Superfast next day free delivery on my order. - Safe packaging. - Official Makita dealer. Negative: - One of 4 items - 18V battery arrived functional but damaged body. Two defects probably caused by dropping the item. Also multiple scratches. Could not been damaged during shipping because package had plenty of wraps. - The ToolStore UK site does not tell you when it logs you out. I started browsing the site being logged in. By the time I paid for my order I was loggged out, therefore no history of my order in the account, moreover, no invoice available to extend Makita 3yrs warranty. - Beware of the prices. For some items you may get a very good deal, other items price is way higher than market average.

Online pricing is very competitive, and we do continuously monitor our prices to ensure that we are offering the best value for customers, however occasionally other suppliers may have deals on etc. in the same way that we also offer different deals on our website. It’s okay. Very convenient, good run time on a 4ah battery. However the build quality seems below what I would expect from dewalt especially as not that cheap. The hinge is plastic and wobbles, why not make of metal. The design means it is not very balanced in weight unlike petrol variants with motor behind hand. The result is it is very hard on the shoulders and arms, and I am no weakling. I was also expecting that you could run in a short mode but no option for that.

Bought a dewalt nail gun a few days ago and went to recently use but had noticed that two screws are missing from the back. This didn't affect the operation of the tool but just didn't expect this.

Our delivery terms are clearly listed on our website here - https://www.toolstoreuk.co.uk/information/86-delivery-info - and we do advise customers that any orders placed outside of our business hours would be processed on the next working day, and delivered the following day. As your order was placed on Friday evening after we had closed, it was processed on Monday when we re-opened and delivered on Tuesday which is what we would expect, as per our delivery terms.
