“Great warm hat for dry conditions but 0% waterproof. Not even water resistant in any way. Immediately became soaked on my recent sailing trip and I would have picked a different hat for that purpose had I known, but to its credit it did stay pretty warm when wet as wool does (& the fleece liner is very cozy too). I’m glad to have it and will appreciate it in cold dry conditions, but it should definitely not be billed as waterproof.”

“Bought these for a forecasted rainy bike tour - the very first day they were worn, my feet still got absolutely soaked. I do appreciate that they kept warmer than usual, though. I washed and dried them, and then the second wet day I wore them, I feel they performed slightly better but still not as advertised. Maybe these waterproof socks are just for light drizzles and mists and not actual serious rain?”

“They’re marketed as waterproof. My pair, at least, are not. They did help keep my feet warm enough, though wet, on a May Scottish Highland bike-acting trip.”

“Good service in terms of ordering and I purchased waterproof gloves at sale price, so that was good.....was actually just as well as the product was disappointing. I ordered size M (I'm usually S-M) and the gloves are VERY small. Add to that the fact that the lining drags when wet, which isn't great given they are designed to be used in wet conditions, and this makes them feel even smaller. Used them once in light rain and taking them on/off during a hike was an utter pain in the neck. Gave them away, very disappointed.”

“Bought gloves, size large.. They are between medium and large. Second pair I have owned and the quality of materials and construction have gone down hill. Will look elsewhere for my next pair. Shame really”

“Although domain name was .ca shipping from UK took for ever. Gloves get as wet inside from my sweat as it would from the rain and i need to pull them inside out to let them dry… Waterproof socks are bulky and again, wet feet… Pink and white socks are not waterproof at all”

Regarding the products purchased, it sounds like there may have been some confusion about expectations for the items. The Blofield (pink and white socks) are not a waterproof model. “The customer services is great, but the quality and fit of the product I purchased was extremely poor. We ordered size XL in cycling overshoes, which apparently fit people with size 12-15 shoes. I'm a size 9 UK size and couldn;t even get the Caston Overshoes past my ankles.”

“Products are great, except for one problem with the Gloves, Well two problems. They're supposed to be extreme weather gloves, but they don't feel warm even when the temperature is ten degrees or more. Secondly, the inside lining has a large fold which feels like an extra finger across the palm. I returned the first pair thinking they were faulty, but the replacement was identical. I kept them and they're a lovely bright yellow, but overall I am disappointed. The hat is great though. Fully covers the ears, and keeps them warm and cozy. N”

“Having emails initially replied to by a 'trainee AI' bot is far from encouraging so you ought to change that response. Once a human replies you know you're dealing with someone which is infinitely more reassuring. Otherwise OK. A shame the shop in London didn't stock the full range of gloves when I visited. And I'm still waiting to hear if the refund for the reurn of the gloves has been made.”

“Having lost a Sealskin glove when travelling I was keen to purchase a new pair, warmer than the previous very useful pair. It was a mistake to do so on-line because the fingers are too long and the gloves not as warm as required, even for a mild British winter. Next time I wil wish to purchase instore, even if the range if smaller than on-line.”
