“Very happy we chose Amber Valley for my mother's funeral service. It's in a beautiful setting and looks very well maintained. The chapel was very comfortable and the large screens worked perfectly for the photo tribute presentation. We were also able to stream the service live so that friends and relatives who couldn't attend the service were able to watch it from home. Naturally, it was a difficult day, but I was left with good memories of my mother's send-off, rather than anything negative.”

“Sadly on the 15 February I had to say goodbye to my beloved husband at the North Oxford Crematorium. I could not have wished for a better experience. The surroundings are lovely (will be better in Summer) it is peaceful and most important has plenty of Parking Spaces. Inside is warm and comforting and being able to see photographs etc brings back Happy Memories.”

“We recently had my mum's funeral here and we were very impressed with the quality of the service and how smoothly it went. The A38 was closed and we were 15 minutes late but we were accommodated and the service went ahead as planned. It's a lovely place to have a service and such a beautiful setting. Thank you to all that were involved in giving my mum the send-off she deserved and for supporting our family through this very sad time.”

“The crematorium is modern, light and fresh. It has a modern sound system and screen facilities. Once the service is over, there is the covered shelter in which people can congregate and chat. However, there is no such shelter for attendees to congregate prior to the service. We had elderly people who had got out of their cars stood in the wind and rain awaiting the arrival of the hearse. This could be improved.”

“The facility at Memoria is peaceful, tranquil and welcoming to those grieving a loss. The staff try to ensure that everything runs smoothly even when there is a problem. There was a problem that day but they managed to find a solution and everything did run smoothly ... well done.”

“Staff helpful, bit windy and cold up there. I had planned what I thought would be a very simple ceremony only about 10 mins with 3 hymns my aunt had chosen playing in the background. Howere I felt the music was too loud, as if we were expected to sing along. I should have asked for quieter music. Everything else went to plan.”

“A very peaceful place to say goodbye to someone , I was impressed with all the planting and the feeling of peace at the crematorium, The chapel was clean and modern , the picture tribute is something I highly recommend. A truly wonderful caring experience on such a sad occasion. It is such a beautiful venue and a perfect one to say goodbye to a loved one. The funeral car drivers were also professional and kind,I will always have fond memories that we did my dad proud and gave him a good send off.”

“Overall the office was amazing, as was the celebrant. I was a little disappointed with seating arrangements again by the usher. For example, while my family sat on the front row, there were two empty rows behind my family at the front, so everyone was bunched up at the back, with a big gap in between. I also wanted to walk out last and spend some time at the coffin, while everyone left, so I coul d say my farewell alone. However, I subsequently felt I had to leave first as I was ushered out. However, perhaps I should have said something to the office about this and therefore that part was my fault.”
