“Many thanks. The Crematorium was beautiful. The Pavilion, which we used afterwards, was beautiful and great for a shared lunch for visitors attending the service from afar. The food and drink provided were delicious. A couple of things to consider: 1. We were confused as to when we were meant to go into the Crematorium building and were waiting in the carpark area, in the cold weather, for ages waiting for someone to tell us to go in!! Consequently, everyone arrived in the Crematorium in a bit of a rush and Mum's coffin was already there waiting. It was all a bit of a strange, rushed start. I think it would be a good idea for someone to guide people inside the Crematorium once the previous people have left. 2. As the family of the deceased, we were seated in the comfortable chairs on the left at the front. However, it felt very close, to the lecturn/priest. Maybe it would be best to have some more space there between the lecturn and the front row of chairs.”

“I found the crematorium much more beautiful than I imagined, it was a lovely setting. The seating was comfortable and the audiovisual facilities were excellent. There was nice landscaping outside. The staff were very helpful and sympathetic. My only suggestion is that there are some chairs available with arms as my dad struggled to get up and down from the front row.”

“The funeral of my Mother was carried out to the families wishes. Every one was respectful , the room was pleasant and comfortable . The outside area was immaculate . We were satisfied overall with all aspects of funeral”

“Though it was a very sad day the service was a celebration of my husband's life. The site was beautiful the sun was shining and the grounds looked lovely. Which made a sad day more bearable.”

“Garford crematorium was so much better than the Oxford crematorium. So light and airy, didn’t feel rushed as it does with Oxford. Would definitely recommend Garford”

“I had been a guest at a previous funeral at North Herts - was impressed - and it was an easy decision to have my wife's funeral in such a peaceful and tranquil setting. All went to plan, many attendees who were first time visitors also commented on such a nice location.”

“We were very pleased with the way our father’s funeral was handled. The location is good with plenty of parking and the chapel itself is welcoming and warm. We particularly liked the digital options (screens with images of Dad) and the webcast facility which meant relatives in the US could see the service. You made a difficult day more bearable, thank you!”

“Lovely surroundings, despite the cold weather. Live web link for relatives not able to attend, appreciated. Everything was as we hoped it would be and everyone said it was a lovely service. Finally a lovely touch, to give my 2 young grandchildren teddy bears, thank you, they love them.”

“Everything was done very well The room was welcoming and comfortable The technology of pictures and music was of a good standard Arrival and departure was good The celebrant spoke clearly and with a compassionate understanding of the person it was about The whole ceremony gave our family great comfort Thank you to all concerned”
