“A very pleasant lady took my order, but the action or lack of it by the courier upset me greatly. I am elderly with an arthritic spine so l was going to ask the courier to leave the package by the back door. The first l knew of the delivery was when l was leaving the house to visit a member of my family. The package weighed approx 60lbs & was way beyond my ability to lift. I had to get a young neighbour to carry it to the storage area at the rear of my house. I’m afraid l won’t be able to use you in future if you don’t knock on my door when you deliver. Jack O’Neill”

We do not have our own courier service, but we use DPD. The courier has a responsibility to leave the parcel on your property, which they have done so. They should however, have knocked at your door to advise that they have left it on your property, so I will feed this back to them. We do pack our seeds in smaller more manageable bags, so it may be worth looking to purchase these, if you are having problems moving the heavy boxes.

“Excellent company to deal with. All the birds love the mini suet pellets and there is absolutely no waste., it's a regular bulk order.and I won't buy the pellets from anywhere else. Orders arrive very quickly from DPD and are well packaged. Can't recommend Ivel Valley highly enough. Very happy customer😊and very happy, healthy birds🐦.”

“Oops, I started one and lost it. As ever, the seed arrived quickly and in good order. It always smells fresh and barely any very fine stuff that birds cannot pick up. Question: Nutritionally, at this cold time, would it make sense to feed the ground & table mix with say, one third by volume of sunflower seeds added to crank up the energy content? Or might this disturb the balance? I'd appreciate your comment! Many thanks. Win Inkson”

Sunflower Seeds, Suet and Peanuts are all good sources of energy for the colder months, so yes any extras you can add will always help the birds.
