“I have bought my bird food from Ivel Valley for a couple of years because, although the price is higher than competitors, the quality has been good. The main benefit of paying a higher price for peanuts is that you get larger kernels and they don't fall through the mesh of the feeders. This time however the nuts were small and shriveled and some were discoloured and were poor quality. My first complaint resulted in an admission that the nuts were not of their usual quality and an offer of a five-pound discount on my next order! Not a great deal when there is a 10% discount available anyway.... and why would I order from them again when I can get better quality bird food at a lower price on the high street? When I pointed that out and offered to return the bag of nuts for a refund of the purchase price Ivel Valley agreed to a refund but told me to dispose of the nuts as I thought appropriate. This offer I accepted. It would have been nice if that had been their first solution. Do not judge the products by the pictures on the website..... my peanuts looked nothing like the picture and were unpalatable for the birds! The delivery service was excellent, fast and efficient.”

“Deliveries prompt and generally error free. (Though bags that have burst in transit over the last year or so trigger a certain ongoing caution about ordering seed from this supplier.) Wide range. Website well sorted. Not the cheapest.”

“Ex Wilko customer. Suet is slightly dearer but less powder, plus in bags instead of plastic boxes. So, good value and will continue to buy.”

“Birds devour this seed mix but there seems to be a lot of dust in the mix. I usually make my own suet rolls but I have purchased 6 berry rolls to try. Birds took a couple of days before eating this mix which is lasting a little longer than my own mix.”

“Fast service and the bird food looks good as usual. No complaints. My only concern is that I buy locally (This company is less than 10 miles from us) in the hope of saving "bird food miles" but with DPD unfortunately the parcels do a little tour of just over 130 miles to get to us. There does not seem to be a way to collect?”

“Birds seem very happy with the suet pellets. I normally have the peanut suet pellets but the last two orders have been the mealworms ones which aren't as firm as the peanut ones.”

“My first order & pretty impressed. A wide range of products, competitively priced & quick delivery. Nice, interesting & well-designed website with a straightforward ordering process. Can't use what I bought yet as I have to wait until autumn before planting & then next Spring before any results. Hopefully, I'll be able to upgrade to 5 stars then!”

“Only critism, is probably with the courier. Out to deliver on Friday, postponed due to lack of time until Saturday and then when it turns up one box is spilt on the bottom and this is disguised in handling!”

“The birds devour the food. It's great to be able to buy British. J would have given 5 stars but the finch&for mix and the Niger seed were in plastic. Would be great if it could be more eco considerate. However 2nd time I've bought from over valley and will do so again. Definitely recommend for other Bird "feeders".”

“Bird food very good, birds love it. Customer service poor, I ordered 6 suet rolls, only received 4 although the invoice had 6 ticked, sent an e-mail to let them know but had no response so won't be buying from them again.”

“The peanuts I required were easily ordered online. The order eventually arrived and was well- packaged and in good condition. Delivery drivers often have a problem finding my address, I wish Ivel Valley would encourage them to use what3words, which defines a location precisely.”

“Ivel Valley are generally very good. Their delivery system is brilliant and the food arrives the next day with helpful delivery men. The sunflower chips have been variable in quality recently but I sense this is being addressed. The mini insect suet pellets are great for small birds who can manage them without dropping and wasting loads and this also avoids any rat activity. I tried some mixed seeds recently and they all hate red dari seeds! So I've returned to just the suet pellets and sunflower chips and they're all very jolly again!”
