Ordered sets of group costumes the night of the sale and now have to send most back because you can’t supply all of them!

Thank you for the review and your custom over the last 14 years. Unfortunately Sale goods always go very fast and we had limited stock of many of the ones on offer. I am sorry we could not supply all those you wanted but not all styles had all sizes available. I hope you were able to take advantage of the incredibly low prices and get some that suited your needs.

The costumes from ids are normally of great quality and fantastic. I have found if ordering a character costume the quality is not good. I ordered the penguin costumes and I was not impressed with the quality at all very poor and not to ids normal standard

Thank you for your review and your custom over the last 4 years. I am sorry you were not happy with the penguin costume. Our 1st Position garments are made to a high quality and the price reflects this. We do stock cheaper garments to fulfill our customers needs and these are mass produced by another manufacturer and not made to the same standard. Please feel free to return the costume for a refund if you want to.

Usually everything is great with my orders. Unfortunately, this time, instead of what I ordered, a black leotard, I received a completely random costume including a hat. Lovely, but not really suitable for the ballet exams I needed the leotard for!

Lots of your items are always out of stock but you still let us order them, with out us knowing, I’m currently waiting for 6 mounts for a item and the parents are fuming ,

Thank you for your feedback and for your custom over the last 4 years. We apologise if you feel the service level is not as expected. We have improved our shipping times and product availability. Unfortunately the past couple of years did have a domino effect on many things, including factories and suppliers closing. We have now arranged alternative sources, but it has taken some time to source some of the fabrics in the quality our customers expect, particularly for the Gym Leotards you are waiting for. In the meantime we are doing our best to get stock levels up to where they used to be and hope that you will bear with us during this difficult time.

Never have any of the stock i need. From class costumes to shoes it causes a mot of stress when shows and exams are around each corner and my dancers need stuff we can never get. The website always advertises one price (very low) and then when you select a size or colour it triples in price that was advertised When you are trying to get free postage so make an order over £75 you actually have to have much more then that as it adds tax after you select postage I only use you and no one else but there are many things that upset me

The issue with the website pricing on products that have been discounted in some sizes and colours is one that is being investigated to make sure the information is accurate and the IT team are working on this as a priority. The free postage is calculated on the net value of orders as stated in the terms and conditions as we cannot use the gross price that includes VAT. We want to continue to be your preferred supplier and if there is anything that you are unhappy about please contact customerservices@ids.co.uk where one of the team will be only too happy to help.

Feather boa I have 16 - I cannot believe how many feathers came off in the first use! I dont think they are going to last very long

Very disappointing customer service. Was spoken to very rudely by Chelsea from customer service. There should be a free returns service due to the fact that you are not able to exchange items. The costume fitting guides are very off also.

This is also explained in our returns policy. We are doing our best to provide accurate information regarding sizing, but if you have experienced sizing issues with a particular garment then please let us know the code and the nature of the sizing issue and we will look into this further. The sizing on the leotard was way out from the Q26 we usually order which means I will need to return it which isn’t very cost effective. I ordered a Size 2 and probably need a 0.

I am sorry that the leotard did not fit. The manufacturers all work to different sizing standards and we publish their sizing charts to try to help you get the correct size but are aware that this does not guarantee a perfect fit.

I am sorry your order was delayed. Your order was split because one of the items was out of stock and the first part of the order was shipped so your whole order was not held up. The second item was shipped as soon as it was back in stock. Our new warehouse extension is now completed and the shelves are filling up as quickly as our suppliers can deliver into us – we already had the highest stocks in the industry and now we have the capacity for even more. We want to be your preferred supplier and are working hard to continue to make improvements.

Always out of stock Regularly slow delivery Now looking elsewhere to purchase basic dancewear Dancewear store not supplying my parents going to Amazon to complete their orders I’ve been trying to be a loyal customer and stick with but it’s getting to the stage where IDS is not the standard it needs to be to be in a competitive dancewear market. I was really disappointed as we did not have these items on time as discussed with you. I would appreciate a phone to discuss some compensation as over the past year we have spent thousands with you and we were relying on these costumes arrive as made clear several times.

We have been a number of items that are either incorrect or we didn’t even order which is quite shocking to be honest. Picking stock from a picking slip isn’t to difficult. And generally just not having much in stock is hard sadly we’ve now started getting our uniform elsewhere. Shame as IDS used to be great

Whilst we hold over double the inventory of any other competitor, that doesn’t always mean we ourselves aren’t impacted occasionally by our own suppliers during this time. Whilst we always hope to despatch everything from stock, sometimes there can be delays. Our Purchasing Manager has been with IDS for 19 years and has used his experience and supplier network to manage stock during the last year of uncertain and unpredictable demand. Forecasting and planning has been almost impossible with the uncertainty related to lockdowns and reopening dates. We value the feedback and are working tirelessly to improve the situation. We’re sorry we’ve fallen short of your expectations on this occasion.

We currently have three full warehouses in Newton Abbot, and we are ordering more than once a week from our key suppliers. Our in-stock position is over 90% overall and has been throughout the pandemic. We believe we continue to hold the largest stocks of any dancewear supplier in Europe. The vast majority of orders are being shipped immediately from stock, but we know there are products that you need which are not available and/or going onto back-order. Please contact customer services for the specific items you want and they will help you.

Most items I have tried to order have been out of stock. Delivery is taking a lot longer than before and works out a lot when I can’t get everything I need.

Thank you for your review. I understand that the current delay in shipping is hugely inconvenient for you and your customers, for which we apologise. As you can imagine we have had to implement various new measures such as one-way systems meaning orders cannot be picked as quickly as they could have done in the past, screens on the packing stations resulting in fewer stations, limited the amount of handling of each order, and many other measures to ensure the safety of colleagues and customers.
